Kelly felt safe to share her weight-loss issues with Whoopi. Leave people alone and let them do them. She have the right to live a experience without sharing. Stop bullying people
I agree she shouldn't be bullied but I do think we're (for better or worse) at a point where celebrities like the Kardashians who deny getting (or the type of) plastic surgery they've had (or male actors with steroids) has bad knock on effects particularly for young people who idealize these celebrities and then feel bad about themselves because they are not achieving natural results by using the correct facial routine, or spending time in gym, or eating the right diet. Being open and honest (just like for mental health) actually helps reduce the stigma.
Parents should teach their children to stop looking at celebrities to be their role models... Everyone has the right to have privacy and peace of mind without being bullied into being peoples role models
@@roncave994 Easy to say and in an ideal world yes but the reality is the internet and social media raise the kids with both parents having to work full-time just to make ends meet and just the loss of physical community in general. If either mum or dad could stay home full-time to raise the kids and only one parent work, maybe. But it's just not realistic in this day and age (if it ever was lol). Yes no one should be bullied period. But celebrities who've used "aides" (steroids, plastic surgery, weight loss drugs) would provide a lot of help by admitting that

I'm not sure why people are so negative on why she didn't "admit" that she's on medication. Sad that we can't give celebrities grace where health is concerned. Furthermore, she said she was pre diabetic then waiting another 2 years before addressing it so, for all we know, she could have become full blown diabetic by then. So maybe she wasn't taking it solely for weight loss but because she needed it medically. We've all heard of HIPAA - she doesn't need to share her health issues. PLEASE EVERYONE - CAN WE PRACTICE GIVING CELEBRITIES SOME GRACE?
People were calling Kellyfatphobic on her channel, claiming to be triggered. Others saying their eating disorders might go in to relapse because of all this. This is ridiculous.
My doctor once recommended a shot called "Saxenda' which is similar to Ozempic, that might be 'the other one' Kelly is referring to. I was overweight but it wasn't life-threatening, and the shot is expensive, even with insurance. And it's for a lifetime if you want your body to stay thin, otherwise stopping the shot means your body goes back to processing sugar the old way. Of course I hope it continues to help Whoopi and Kelly.
If you notice Kelly didn't lose weight drastically at the start!! Did it ever accure to all the of you negative people that at the time she hadn't taken the shot to lose weight? Because she said that she was scared of the shot! So when she did decide to take the shot, that was her business. She didn't have to share it with anyone. On her show being that the subject came up she decided to mention it. So people just needs to keep their noise in their own business!!

I think it's great she finally shared the truth on how she lost her weight after a clearly lifelong struggle. It makes sense she opened up after whoopee opened up. I think it's important to be honest about these things if you are a public figure people look up to.
How she loses weight and how she chooses to share how she lost the weight is NONE of our business!! She is under no obligation to share any of that with any of us...
It is 100% her business. She is not obligated to tell the world every detail of her life. I think it's actually better that she didn't/doesn't say because it is an individual journey and she is not getting paid to endorse a product or a program. Folks love to put people on pedestals and use them as a blueprint for their own lives but then it doesn't work for them or it makes them sick and then what? Kelly is under the care of a doctor and this medical advice is protected information. She is entitled to privacy even as a celebrity. She is a person first.
The fact that anyone even has a problem with someone like Kelly who is so sweet and open about everything is really troubling, and I wouldn't blame alot of celebrities if they choose not to say anything about their personal life because people are always going to be insatiable and looking for who to blame for their own problems!! It's so stupid for anyone to think that Kelly and other celebrities need to tell us everything about their personal lives and struggles. These celebrities are entertainers and artists sharing their craft. They do not choose to be public figures (like govt elect officials). Kelly is entitled to her privacy. Who gives a crap how she lost weight? Damned if they tell and damned if they don't tell. These celebrities/ artists just can't win. Honestly, it's really none of our business what goes on in people's private lives or their medical struggles. She lost weight. She looks great and she feels healthier. Let's move on.
What is wrong with people! Why does Kelly's weight matter, period! She's allowed to have a private life first and foremost and she doesn't owe anyone an explanation about anything! She's shared for a while now that she's had an autoimmune problem and weight gain or loss goes with it. She, like millions of us need help to overcome issues and her's happened to be weight loss so she and her doctor came up with a plan, simple and no bodies business!
It is not your business - or anyone else's for that matter. Medication is only a tool and if anyone has to take it to lose weight they are under no obligation to discuss it publicly. Kelly is a wonderful artist and person irrespective of the size of her body - which incidentally she is well aware of as she has a mirror. What if the reason she was losing weight was that she was undergoing treatment for mental health or thyroid condition or cancer and did not want anyone to know. It is the same when women are asked when they will be having children - like Jennifer Aniston. There was constant baby bump comments in the Trashy Mags - for her it could have been agonising especially if she had to have a hysterectomy or was infertile and no-one knew. Members of the press need to stop this constant commentary on women's bodies. Start with you. Just stop.
Honestly, I don’t keep tabs on Kelly Clarkson but I could swear she DID say she was taking something that helped her with her weight loss! Maybe she didn’t call it a weight loss drug and so it totally went under the radar. People need to get off Kelly’s case.
Ok, so they both took a drug to help them lose weight. If they feel they need to do that like Oprah than so be it. I am not judging them. They need to do what is right for them.
Damned if she does, damned if she doesn't. She doesn't owe anyone access to her private medical information. For me, the risk/benefit calculation for GLP-1 drugs isn't worth it, not to mention the cost. But for those it helps who can afford it or get insurance coverage, go for it.

It's like plastic surgery, steroids, and these weight loss drugs. These celebrities should just be honest (former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen has been open and honest about his steroid usage and how as a kid he'd look at pro wrestlers and feel bad about himself because he was lifting and in the gym virtually every waking hour and still wasn't getting the results). You set up unrealistic expectations and help fuel people's depression when you deny that you're getting assistance" to fix/improve your face, physique, and weight. All these things (like plastic surgery) have greatly lost their stigma so just be honest lol

I love Kelly but this is very disappointing. Ozempic is a dangerous drug with many health side effects. I would never support anyone risking their health to “look better”. No matter her weight she is an amazing and stunning singer. I think her fans would just want her to be healthy and well too. And I don’t care if losing the weight makes her happy, even if that’s my family, I would still vote against taking this drug. That said, I’m not shaming her at all, and I don’t support online bullying either. I’m merely expressing my stance.
It may not be healthy for you. People react to things differently. If people are stupid enough to listen to the internet or celebrities over their dr, we'll that's on them. I also think that all the people blaming others for their weight loss failures are delusional. You control what goes into your body and sometimes you may need professional help. Talk to your dr.
Well she’s not taking ozempic for one. And her doctor has been telling her for 2 years to start this medication. That’s business between her and her doctor. Obviously she’s is good hands.
@@justinvaughn-xy7mg well… Ozempic has been rebranded ever since it becomes a weight loss drug. I believe that it’s semaglutide that’s she’s taking regardless of the exact drug name. That said, we don’t know what’s going on and I’m just speculating.

Kelly is the most authentic celebrity there is 🙄 she’s so open and honest. She’s been that way forever. Kelly doesn’t do social media, reading comments, etc. She doesn’t know nor care about what crazy people say online. She has an actual life. Get one.
