It was a scorcher on the Buffalo River, but it didn't stop the smallmouth, spotted bass, or rock bass bite, and the whopper plopper reigned supreme!
When the topwater bite is on, the whopper plopper is my answer. It's my favorite lure of any I have, and it brought me several blowups on the Buffalo River!

Love the river videos. Local old guy kayaker that hasn’t adventured to rivers yet. Have to figure out the whole get picked up at a different location than I launch from. Subscription ☑️

Thanks for the sub and thanks for watching. I have a VERY kind wife that picks me up! Otherwise, start at the narrows of the Harpeth. You can basically self shuttle.

Johnny Dangerously style! My wife just floats and reads her book. She’s been to the Harpeth a bunch but this was her first non Harpeth float.

Haha, they like to stop at certain spots with gravel bars. Crazy you can get bites with dozens of people around. Thanks for watching!
