To be fair. You see them coming your aa is going off. You see three take positions to drop. You have this seconds to determine were the splash down will be and dodge. Iv doged several attacks because I track the drop and you can actually see the splash up when the fish hit the water.
Dont think anyone's at fault. Destroyers are glass cannons, very effective with their torpedoes, but easily destroyed, so the carrier is not OP. As for the destroyer itself, it looks like it was committed to an attack on another ship, and so could not dodge until after it had launched it's torpedoes. Also destroyers can't turn fast enough to dodge torpedoes dropped at that close range.
Even if the DD turned off their AA, they would have been spotted nonetheless. Regardless, that Kagero made quite a few unforced errors: didn't see that planes were incoming, didn't smoke up, didn't dodge, didn't just their AA suite off.
My guy is here mocking people putting "OP carrier" in the caption of this short. I really hope that isnt sarcasm, because aircraft carriers are ludicrously overpowered, bud. When I was playing carriers, my goal at the start of every game was to keep destroyers spotted until my team were rid of them, then I would focus more on Battleships. The fact that carriers can completely negate the strengths of destroyers and delete them by just keeping them and their torpedoes spotted makes them a nightmare to play in a carrier match, if a carrier player knows what they are doing, they are a menace to every player on both teams. Even though cruisers are probably the best counter to aircraft, they still get worn down and are forced to turn.
Inexperienced DD player! Regardless whether you think it needs to be arcade-y, that's more than sufficient torps to kill a DD. Torps and bombs are too weak i.e. lack proper punch. WG just needs to make air-dropped way less accurate. And AA needs a MAJOR overhaul...
One overpowered ship type killing another overpowered ship type where one of them demonstrates why they're overpowered - derping in and dying (sometimes just 5 minutes into the match) is why the developers overbuff destroyers.
No joke. No citadels, they can't be normally penetrated by anything above 280mm, bombs have been nerfed into RNG hell so they can't hit smaller targets, rockets had a wind up of up to several seconds to give DD's time to dodge including machine gun tracers to see where the rockets are going, AA comes from random areas of smoke screens so you can't get an accurate read on where they are, secondaries have gotten numerous nerfs to prevent them from being effective against DD's, firing while not locked on to a target now has a dispersion penalty to reduce effectiveness of firing at destroyers in smoke, radar gets constant nerfs to reduce effectiveness against DD's, so on and so forth. I probably missed a bunch in there but I took a few years off.
wow getting a destroyed or cruiser with torpedo bombers is itself an achievement. Believe me I tried with carrier for several months it’s a headache. Btw I am battleship guy (🇩🇪bismark and schleffen and Zeiten) 😊
I agree it does there's an option in the settings that let's you toggle between English (or what ever language your country uses) or you can have set to speak the language of the line you're using it I play the Russian/German lines a lot so it's cool to hear their call outs instead of it being English when I'm using a Russian ship

DD could have been paying more attention. Also, the drop was beautifully executed as the DD may have initially believed he was breaking off, stopped paying attention just long enough, and didn't have the time to turn out. Well played drop. Didnt seem OP to me.
