Hi, I just passed my test today first try with only one minor fault. Your videos helped me out a lot! And to anyone who has a test coming up, don’t worry. Within 5 minutes the nerves settle down it feels just like a lesson. It’s not as bad as you think!

I had a driving lesson today and I might or might not have raised my instructors heart rate just a bit when I went to go through a gap bus on the right parked cars on the left I drove through and someone in the car didn’t check mirrors and opened the door luckily I swerved really fast but it was quite scary only my 3rd lesson

If my ears are correct at 27:44 Taz keeps the gas pressed at the lights for about 70 seconds or so, i'm sure the gas doesn't need to be pressed until preparing to set off.

Another excellent demonstration by Taz. The low point in my opinion would be typical of what happens if you do practice with friends/relatives. You drive extensively on main roads and do not turn of into small parked up roads. Today main roads used throughout to experience Pedestrian Crossing situations. After driving a long time on faster roads at 30.42 we need to turn left and misjudge our speed. This causes Taz to not have got the clutch pedal completely up before turn in. Just around the corner is one parked car, our side, our speed assessment is not good and an oncoming vehicle is zooming towards us. We did not handle holding back and clearance very well. I think "speed awareness" is the problem Rule 273 Highway code refers to this for Motorways (on leaving) "Your speed may be higher than you think - 50 mph may seem like 30 mph" On lessons after a long extended session on long open roads turning into small parked up roads you may feel 25 mph is only 15 mph as you have become used to going along and suddenly find you are coming up fast where being 5 or 10 mph slower is crucial.

Your such a good teacher I wish you were in the same area as me so I could take my lessons with you 😫😫

I’m from Canada and will be visiting the uk and I will be driving...I have watched a ton of RU-vid videos to better prepare myself for roundabouts and signs. I want to be even more prepared and I’m going to get this course just for my trip

i still find myself watching these uploads even though i passed my test first time with zero minors on the 17th dec after two months of lessons lol. young Taz has come a long way since watching her first lesson! I feel that i can drive safe and competently but, i find that the biggest ongoing lesson is learning how others use the road safely (or not lol). also the unpredictable nature of pedestrians and the silly things they do. i have learnt to always expect the unexpected. good luck going forward with your lessons Taz :) and thank you pin

Good luck for your exams Taz! Shes doing so well, I started my lessons about a week before her first lesson was uploaded. I've only done 17 lessons though as my instructor is a bit pants and the only reason I drive so well is because of these videos 😂

Pedestrian crossings are one important thing to understand. Lots of naughty drivers don't even stop or let people go a zebra crossings. It's good that most people do and Taz has learned well Pin. It's for helping people cross the road but it's not actually a pedestrian crossing. Couldn't have said it better myself

I learn in a diesel and everytime I need to stop about 4 car lengths away my instructor tells me to get the biting point to move it forward however when I eventually stop it’s more harder and jerky that and my legs struggle to get both feet on the pedals for long

I feel like the last few lessons that I improved alot. Still scary on roundabout but I proud of my progress. I think it the person fault. You should wait until you fully know they have stopped.

Is there a reason why Tas was taught to get the biting point at traffic lights long before they turned green?

I have question. I see that she is pulling up the handbreak/parkbreak every time when she waits or stops on traffic lights. I understand that they are learners, that is important the car to be secured. But I wonder if you telling your students, after they take their certificates, that pulling the handbreak often will cause damage of the car part, also if the the temperature is low they might find that the break is frozen or stuck. Some cars like Mercedes dont have hand break, the parking break is actually a pedal and pushing it often cause big problems to the car. Here they teach us that parkingbreak is only when the car is on a very big slope and you are not driving diesel. Also I want to ask. What if I slow the car with the gears, is this count as mistake ?

Wee question Pin, is it ok to sit at every junction/crossing etc, in first gear, rather than going out of gear? Is it harmful to the clutch maybe? In the video your pupil had to wait a long time at a junction, (it was at around 16 minutes into the clip), but she used the same method throughout the video.

Pin, just passed a couple months ago and since have started doing takeaway delivery so have quite a bit of experience already. With me not been passed long i have a lot of time and respect for learner drivers and have patience when they are holding me back BUT the other day i was on a 2 lane round about on the inside lane and on the outside there was a learner driver and he was just crawling. To me this seemed very dangerous like the instructor should not take him on those unless he is ready. What is your thoughts? Is it dangerous to go that slow on a 2 lane roundabout?

What questions should i ask my instructor? When i watch your videos, i find that some of the things, explanation, routines, details, are missing on my lesson.

Why do u ppl use hand brake every time u stop. Use the brakes. when u wanna move, lift the clutch and release the brake and accelerate.
