I completely get you. Book readers can be annoying at times. They can’t just fully experience the SHOW for what it is. I know what happens in Fire and Blood but appreciate the show for its OWN creative direction.
Yep, book only people can be pretty fucking pretentious tbh. I read the book well before this series came out. It's good, but it's also quite dry and written as a history book, so it's not like it's the most groundbreaking tale of all time. It was a book designed to be made a TV show. The show adds depth and nuance that was sorely lacking in the book. I'm convinced the people that obsessively stan about the book haven't read it at all, and only read highlights or watched 'recap' videos online. No way half these people read it with how they talk about it.
@@IIIIAmSHODAN Exactly! The show isn’t perfect but does a good job with what it has. I also found the characters in the book to be very one dimensional eg. Show Alicent is by far the most interesting character study
@@IIIIAmSHODANthe book is also written through the eyes of others and not the actual players of the dance of dragons themselves. So you literally don’t know what is fact or fiction. Multiple times different recounts contradict each other.

Anything that is written by George RR Martin tends to end the same so I will not be choosing any sides🤣. If I really had to choose a side I would choose team black because Rhaenyra Targaryen is the rightfull heir to the throne and her birthright was stolen from her.

I dont understand the people complaining its not book accurate when the book in itself was written fro. Different perspectives and wasnt meant to be seen as accurate at all
13 years since ADWD - i.e. He has spent more of this century so far NOT publishing a proper ASOIAF installment than he has spent publishing TWO installments (the key syllable here is "STALL")
Dont like Aegon or Rhaenyra as rulers; as a person Rhaenyra is obviously better but I'm Team Green because they can manage the realm unlike the blacks granted though if I can pick and choose my king or queen that would be Rhaenys.
The greens way of managing things is to kill the obstacles. Look at how Aegon became king the greens literally round up and hang people that was not supporting the greens they even beheaded people just to get Aegon as king to kill people to cover a lie 😒. I would have rather had Rhaenyra as the Queen of the realm if she did not loose her son and they just gave the throne to her I am very certain that she would have made a decent Queen especially with Corlys Velaryon as right hand of Queen.
Team Black at least treats the small folk better than Team Green. Daemon helped clean up the streets of Kings Landing with the Gold Cloaks. Aegon uses children in fighting pits and r*pes serving women.

I want to say for Book Readers that I think many were just burned by the later seasons of GOT. When the show stuck to the source material but added onto it with original content, the show was at its peak. When it strayed too far, the quality dipped. This may not be inherently linked. Many adaptations can improve with changes and fresh ideas. But I think what happened with GOT made many reader of *Fire & Blood* more worried, and thus more rabid, about too much change. Then that gets compounded and multiplied by politicization and radicalization and the fandom war baked into the show itself. To fellow Book Readers: relax. The show is good. Perfect? No. Do I find F&B's original ideas generally better? Sure, but I've yet to watch any adaptation I was totally happy with.
