Entity speed patch is nothing. Back in my day we'd spend a solid month walking through nether just to visit other bases. Those were the good ol' days on 2b2t. *sips monster zero*
See the problem with that is, that requires infrastructure that could be griefed quite easily. Unlike obsidian, which you have to mine manually, ice can be blown up.
I play an anarchy server called VentureVanilla, it is a very popular anarchy server. When i travel the highways they rarely get greifed even near 0 0 its like a rule everyone follows on an anarchy server.

There are GTA SAMP servers with 1000 players, the admin just making sure he gets the biggest profit margin possible. Plus if the queue is too small why would anyone pay for priority? Make a problem, fix said problem for moneys. 😎
im excited for this actually. with speed nerfed, the outer limits of the map will become harder to get to but also more viable places to build bases. thus more interesting finds while exploring.
While I agree, I don't know if this is the kind of thing you should actually say out loud. If any trolls see this comment they are going to go to the border specifically to grief people's bases.

If entity speed is gone, then the world border is going to become the safest place to base. Since players won’t go out that far. It’s literally The Far Lands all over again but instead of a majestic bug it’s players rarely visiting.
Yeah it could be a new age of AFK air travel on the server. Get to places without playing constantly. Also, if you’re a new player on the server or a player that doesn’t want to engage with others, the borderlands are really the safest place. Even going out into the world by the millions would make you a free player.
What I mean is that without Entity Speed travelling to the World Border will take far longer than it used to. For someone to get to you they have to spend possibly days of travelling. This will lower the amount of players travelling to the Borderlands because there will be less players that are prepared to make the journey. And with all the action being around spawn, some of the servers more experienced players might choose to remain.

@@user-vq8iw6pw6k I was on a few days ago, it's still possible to use it at varying settings depending on the TPS. You'll still get kicked at some point, forcing you to reconnect, but you can still use it, although it's inconsistent to say the least.
It will be interesting to see what sort of replacement can be used for entity speed. As you said, this exploit has been used for years, so very little development in that field has been done. This will dramatically accelerate research in that area of Minecraft.
If it gets updated, boat travel on Blue Ice will be able to fully replace entity speed. The major highways would have to be modified, or at the very least the world border pilgrimage.
I've seen a couple and I'm interested to hear his. I don't plan on playing on 2b2t short of a new invasion bringing a reason that doesn't feel like sacrilege to begin with myself and I wonder what his take on the reputation he seems to have would be. He himself said he can be watched alongside "all the other RU-vidrs/streamers". It sounds to me like from server lore, FitMC has become the very thing the Old Watch swore to guard against that documents the server in a way that bring his own flavor of invaders.
@@flemaster12 if he says anything other than what Shibodo did he's lying to himself or lying to his viewers. He knows why he is disliked and it's the reason Shibido said. He's said it in previous vids already anyway, doesn't need to make a whole video about it.
I feel one thing that could be a good alternative to entity speed is over world, raining + riptide trident + elytra This is the best alternative i can think of And people will probably make hacks for it (faster speed, longer riptide effect, or even not needing the rain) But if hacks are made for it and elitras are not removed again, i feel that the riptide enchant may be disabled
Love how everyone thinks this is the end of travel when there are literally like 5 more cheats, a few faster than entity speed. With the one, an OLD patched dupe you get yourself in a state where u can get to world border from 0,0 in 10 minutes
When you're 1 second in the video and hear "The Oldest Anarchy server in Minecraft" when usually it takes fit 10-15 seconds you know it's something bad
Hey fit. I got on 2b last night for the first time. I escaped spawn on my 4th attempt was vanilla. The first two were withers. The third was a nether trap.
