Heat guns typically operate at temperatures ranging from 100°C to 700°C (212°F to 1292°F), depending on the model and setting. R290 forms explosive mixtures with air between concentrations of 2.1% (lower explosive limit) and 9.5% (upper explosive limit). Given these factors, using a heat gun in the presence of R290 refrigerant poses a serious fire and explosion hazard. The heat gun could easily reach temperatures exceeding the auto-ignition point of R290, potentially causing ignition if the refrigerant concentration in the air is within the explosive limits

i Prefer My Pump Sprayer with Super hot water in it. it's alot quicker than the torch i've found. i use My Wet Vac to vacuum up the Water out of the bottom of the cooler & can be used to vacuum off the condensers too. Agree on Boxes holding the door open --- see it all the time. seen lots of different things holding doors open a bit on freezers & prep tables too.

In appliances we have to use steamers because of the flooring. Especially on the plastic liners and r600, r290's cousin.

@throttlebottle5906 8 дней назад
@@rowdybroomstick6394 yeah, keep your face/body well clear of the area, lol. probably trapped in the oil, micro pockets in tubing and coils, also inside the compressor cylinders/scroll, unless you heat the compressor, strike it and bump them over(short blips of power on) with nitrogen flowing through there's no way you'll get it all out. except maybe a deep vacuum first before torching. lol, but who's going to do that, especially if it's a leaker!
