Your camera work and background music for this one was very well done. Plus a different look and feel than many of your usual videos. Thanks for bringing us along on this particular pilgrimage.
This is one of the most magical places in the world, thanks for bringing us along. The white flower retreat very unique too. Did you get a chance to meet Ananda and Gayatri who run it? abrazos
We are a “bit” tired 😂😂. Beautifully made and highly entertaining video as always. The guy near the start with all that stuff on his bike could have used one of your packing lists!! 😂 Hugs
Yes, we were only "a bit" tired, so much that the next day we couldn't walk... Walking barefoot is next level experience!! And yes, many people going on a bike in India would do with our minimalist packing list 🤣🤣🤣
Found your nicely done video on this pilgrimage just yesterday - thanks for sharing. Where did you'll stay in Tiruvannamalai? Loved the greenery outside your room! It looked so inviting.
The accommodation is called "the white retreat". We absolutely love it there, everything of that experience was magical!! Are you planning on doing it? When?
@@caminotellers I'm planning on visiting Arunachala early next year and I wasn't even aware of the full moon pilgrimage before this video. You have inspired me though so if I'm there at the right time, I will certainly give it a go :) 🙏
Very sacred, powerful place indeed. I didnt know this fact, but ended up asking a significant question there, hoping to see the answer coming through. I wish my country could be a lot more cleaner and organized, especially such important places and temples. It is almost in shambles, a country that once known for true knowledge, culture and other lufe aspects but now in a state of pity. Hope for better state of affairs in future!
Loved watching every second, thanks for taking us with you ✨ Wouldn’t it be amazing if experiencing trips like this would somehow be mandatory? Like hey, to become a human, here’s the next step on your journey
Hello dear, Thanks for the beautiful video. I'm going next January for the second time to Tiruvannamalai. I love these very special place. I'm looking for a good place to stay and your apartment looks really nice. Can you please give me the address? Many thanks already!! OM NAMA SHIVAYA! Arunachala!!
@@caminotellers Dear Caminos, I'm searching the place White Lotus and can't find it. Do you have a phone number or website? They are not in the regular booking platforms. Will be really nice to contact them since I'm going to stay for about one month. Such a divine place, Arunachala! Kind regards!! Shanti Shanti Shanti
Lots of ancient puranas, holy scriptures of Hinduism has mentioned mount arunachalam It is believed that there is a siddha yogi( avatar of lord shiva or manifestation of shiva)who is still on the mountain meditating under a banyan tree And also it is believed that the mountain itself a sri chakra yantram Devthas (demigods) come to arunachala to pray lord shiva Lots of people have seen better change in their life's
Thanks for sharing this content. It's a belief that doing a parikrama or called 'Girivalam' in Tamil (circumambulation) will purify the body, soul & mind, hence this sea of gatherers who do that. The earliest record of doing Parikrama has been written by Shri.Saiva Ellappa Navalar in the Tamil Book 'Arunachala Puranam' , the book was written in the 17th Century. The famous sage Shri Ramana Maharishi(b.1879 - d.1950) who lived in Tiruvannamalai from 1896-1950 has undertaken this Parikrama many a times and you can check these facts in his works published by Sriramanasramam. We are natives of Tiruvannamalai and my great grandma & grandma have done this girivalam several times (that was 80-100 years back), so its a tradition and not a new fad. Ofcourse earlier it was done by a few who did that as a spiritual & religious belief. Now lot of people undertake the Parikrama since some celebrities popularized this tradition in the 2000's.
thanks for the details! Tiru and the Arunachala are a special place, no doubt about it! every time I'm there I feel like home... big hugs and namaste to you
The Mountain is not to get answers for one's question, The power of the Mountain is to dissolve the questioner The Mountain is Jnana(knowledge of your own original true self)
Why? Because a film actor told the press that they'd get male children and money by making the circumambulation of Arunachala in 2000. There is no ancient tradition other than a few who used to enjoy the walk by moonlight.
I should have ignored your ignorant and arrogant comment. But I am responding as a duty; if I can even make one person who comes to your comment to pause and think, then I am bound to do it. Millions and millions of people down thousands of years have been circumambulating around this Agni Linga Roopam of Eshvara, long long before films and film stars, why even many millennia before the name of “John “ came into being. What you see and perceive is as ‘You’ are, and not as Arunaachala Is.
Ramana Maharishi talks about Girivalam. It’s an ancient practice. The actor donated funds to improve the infrastructure in that area so more devotees started coming.
