San Juan Islands, Washington would be a wonderful future take of this series. There are a number of creative folks and the community is beautiful. The folks of Paula West Pottery, Cafe Demeter, and Painters Joe Miller and Dana Roberts are all good friends.

I wish this hadn't focused on a restaurant thst celebrates cruelty to pigs. Asheville is celebrated for being among the top ten vegan small towns. While there, I loved seeing pet pigs on porches and in yards- rescued ones adopted as family. There are so many wonderful plant foods freshly, compassionately prepared and featured in this understandably renowned place.💜🫂
