Fantastic stuff as always! Love your channel. This was really insightful. Really glad you have a sponsor too, I know you don't do these for the cash, but fingers crossed you get more 😉
Timliu92 would you say the nail was hammered into the coffin when AC lost their 3-0 lead to Liverpool in the CL final? Italian teams haven’t been the same since that imo
@@LuxioV2 no. AC Milan beat Liverpool for the UCL two years later, while Inter Milan manage to won the treble 5 years later. both the Milan club was considered as Italian giants because they were Serie A title contenders until 2011-2012. both clubs have fallen from grace ever since their respective owners sold the majority of their club shares.
"This wonderful night bestows us with the colours of our crest: black and azure against a gilded backdrop of stars. It shall be called International, because we are brothers of the world." (Giorgio Muggiani - 9 March 1908, Milan)
We are FC Internazionale Milano and we are brothers of the world. I'd like to add that fans of both teams sat together in the stadium, we don't hate each other, we just like to exchange friendly banter.
One of the best derbies to attend live. Great atmosphere. But no violence between the fans👍 Unlike other cities in Europe the support seems very evenly spilt in the city.
I love this derby. A great city with two of the best clubs in the world. Milan represents the Milanese pride, also because they have lots of homegrown youth players playing a lot throughout their history. Inter is a bit classier and represents the international side of the city. I'm an Interista myself, but I have deep respect for both clubs, also you aren't really Milanese if you don't hate Juve lol.
@@TheTheMonkey93 inter is classier. Not in style of play, but in their way of showing themselves (though I do not know how Milan was before that disgusting piece of shit Berlusconi took over) You can also see it in the design of the kits, the merchandise and the pre-match formalwear. Milan is more powerful and passionate, while Inter is more elegant.
I know it is not well known in Europe, but a holy derby takes place in Poland. The Tri-city derby between Arka Gdynia and Lechia Gdansk. Its always epic.
@@thatbg3357 the club hates these kind of fans, unfortunally you can't do nothing to beat them, Inter has a lot of young fans and most of the young boys in these days are also fascist
Nice video .. I am AC Milan fan ... but I like Inter too... but never knew that much deep history between these two club.. thanks for providing this information .... :)
You said you hope you answered any questions we might have had....the best compliment I can pay you is you answered questions I didn’t know I had. Super informative my man. 👍
As an Inter fan, I would say that this video is a good insight into the derby. It's not a fierce one (mostly like a cousin vs cousin) and the real derby is the match vs Juventus (Derby d'Italia). P.S. the Moratti-Berlusconi era can be seen in the dressing room. Milan has chairs/seats (to feel like someone "divine") and Inter has just an oval form dressing room without any chairs/seats.
Livio Kokthi actually you're not even from milan or italy because here in italy, everyone know that the derby d'italia is inter vs juventus.Their rivalry is way bigger that the one between juventus and ac milan. You could ask every inter or juventus supporter and he'll tell you the same thing
@@liviokokthi bel commento fazioso, da vero sportivo. Poi vienimi a dire di come odi piu il milan che l'inter e di come non ci sia rivalità. A babbeooo
Xavi Georgio Hey man, speaking as a United fan), while we are on a decline, I’d say we’re still on top. Yeah the last 6-7 years have been our worst period in decades but we’ve at least still been picking up trophies and finishing above our rivals. Liverpool haven’t actually WON anything in that time. But yes if the way things are going continue the way they are, this could be the start of a period of time where Liverpool become more of a force here and on the continent than us. And with that comes more power that isn’t quantifiable. Success brings success. I guess the only thing in their way at the minute is City. Oh, what a time to be alive, eh? 🙃
Nice vid! Just a detail: A.C. Milan’s fans real and original nickname was (And still is) “casciavit” (Screwdrivers) due to their working class background - most of them were blue collars as you correctly stated. Nowadays the original social division doesn’t exist anymore but the casciavit nickname is still there.
Thank you for making this great video and let us now about the history of the two most iconic Italian clubs.Admin can you make the rivalry history between Inter Milan and Juventus..
And the mother if all Derbies is Celtic v rangers, its a fight over religion the city and northern Ireland for most people,go to an old firm match and you will see passion and hatred
Akshay Sharma Celtic vs Rangers St Pauli vs HSV St Pauli vs Hansa Rostock Panathinaikos vs Olympiakos Shamrock Rovers vs Bohemians Cliftonville vs Linfield Roma vs Lazio Boca Juniors vs River Plate Dortmund vs Schalke Or maybe a friendly derby: Athletic Bilbao vs Real Sociedad
The city owns it and gives a part of the revenue to the teams for their matchdays. Hence the reason why they want to build a new co owned stadium without the city's ownership.
beautiful video very well researched. A better way Milan and inter fans are referred is Bauscia and Caciavitt, wich literally translates to Saliva and screwdrivers. That is still a reference to class status, screwdrivers refer to blue collar workers and saliva is a typical Milanese way to refer to bourgeois people
Great video, maybe add a bit of Greek "flair" as well! Panathinaikos vs Olympiacos, PAOK vs Aris Thessaloniki, PAOK VS AEK are some of the biggest derbies in Greece. I'd love to see a video on these from you.
I am a huge Inter and AC Milan fan, i always loved serie a since the early 90s, Juventus is awesome also, Sampdoria, As Roma and Lazio and lets not forget 1990s Parma AC other favorites of mine! 1992 and 1994 AC Milan , 2010 Inter and 1996 Juventus legendary italian sides!
@@Sonnie125 no one gives a shit about the shitty Scottish league, quality is so poor and if you actually say otherwise I don't think you actually watch it
A A you’re an ignorant prick. At least all our clubs are in the black, not fucking debt ridden and money driven like the English. The walls will collapse sooner or later. I love football but cannot stand what the English leagues and Champions league has become. It’s been absolutely ruined by greed and money. And for all your money you English mob still can’t come up here and beat our “Mickey Mouse” teams. Your national team couldn’t even beat Scotland, in fact you were fucking lucky to go away with a draw. You’re a fucking joke.
As you have stated, Milan supporters were called "tramvì" and Inter's "mototretta" at the beginning. However, more recently the nicknames changed respectively into "casciavit" (screw-drivers) for Milan fans and "baùscia" for Inter's, a term used to indicate pompous, upper-class citizens of Milano.
@@filipporiva2555 milan relegated to serie b in totonero scandale, it was huge crisis back then, berlusconi bought and payed a huge debt. So milan also has a dark time just like other club.
Thanks for the video. Very informative. In the eighties, AC Milan was the dominant soccer team in the world and the Serie A was the most influential league. Thanks to the local TV channel that showed Serie A games, I followed AC.
Great material, man! Never new they were the same team back in the days. Also, as an Arsenal fan, I'd like to hear more about the North London Derby with Spurs. :)
Well, the roots of rivalty betwwen Milan and Inter are merely more 'plain' and simple than what you talk about. Anyway it was a pleasure to get to know the roots and history about this two great football teams. As an Italian, I didn't know anything of this and I really enjoy your video! Thumbs up!
Absolutely love these videos and this one was very interesting and brilliantly done. Please, however, stop saying scoreline with the expression "to", as in 2 "to" 1 ... thats simply not how the scores are read... it would be simply 2, 1 ... there is no need for the "to". Great video though, keep bringing these out!
I usually dont watch videos where one is just talkin their ass off in your face, but this was the first i watched till the end cause of the topic, and i liked it a lot. Keeep up the good work bro :)
Damn I never knew that inter had so much internal strife with name changes and stuff....thanks for the history lesson behind these two famous clubs...great vid.
Please do one about the great Indian "Kolkata derby" , east Bengal vs mohun bagan 😊 and I loved your content wish to see more of these ! Keep it up buddy
Very well produced vid - keep it going. A small crib maybe, but maybe include the stats even in the background i.e. most wins, biggest win per team etc. I know that would either add time to production or take away from the main idea, but just a thought. Either way, it is a great vid with well timed props (gonna use the Inter quote) and well scripted. Kudos ... and FORZA NERRAZZURI!!
"He died in 1916 fighting for italy in ww1" "Perhaps as a tribute, Inter went on to win the 1919-1920 season" Huh?! hahah JK love you, just rewatching a bunch of old vids. Keep being amazing man
