Carbon is indeed an awesome element. Thanks for the backstory! I found it really interesting. Have you looked into metamaterials? I'm no expert but it looks promising

Treat the front wall between the gear and the wall first then work your way to the sidewalls.

Its fantastic in odour control also. Carbon air extraction filters.

Yes, carbons are used for air and water filtration. However, they will not work for sound absorption inside a diaphragmatic absorber. The carbon we used goes through a manufacturing process that allows the proper granule density, pore size and count along with moisture retardation.

I was interested in the diy plans. Then your comment that “doing it yourself, they won’t be any good in 6 months” scared me. What would be the good in buying the plans?

Go back to the 3:00 mark and relisten. They give a 15 year guarantee because they treat the carbon so it will not absorb moisture. It is the over the counter carbon that absorbs moisture and won't last. NOT the Acoustic Fields carbon product.

Yes. And maybe I’m misunderstanding here. He sells sells diy plans. Those plans would have you sourcing your own materials. But if our diy products wouldn’t last for more than 6 months should we then no purchase the plans?

@@RecordingStudioLoser You purchase the carbon directly from Acoustic Fields, not from another source.

@@vinylrules4838 and the foam you purchase from Acoustic Fields, it's the rest of the materials that are easily sourced elsewhere.

I also wish I knew it before. I purchased DIY plans, sourced carbon myself, as shipping from US too expensive, and now I see this video. This is a good info, if just was shared before. anyway lets see how it goes with time.

Try graphene, it's also C12.

Graphene lacks the required porosity count.

@@AcousticFields Oh, of course, how I didn't think! But if you mix graphene with snake oil it's just about right

Some treatment is bettrer than none. Start with the lower frequencies and work your way up the middle and highs.
