Apart from a few small coral atolls in Seychelles, neither country is really threatened by sea level rise, unlike Comoros and other coral island nations.

this doesnt hold true for other african island nations or other tiny nations. comoros (which is an island nation and basically the same size as mauritius is 7 times poorer. sao tome and principe is half the size of mauritius but is 4 times poorer per capita. the gambia (which is bigger than mauritius but still real small) is 16 times poorer. the title just plainly isnt true

Mauritius is the only Hindu majority country in Africa Mauritius is also the most prosperous country of the continent and its only real democracy according to the UN Coincidences don't exist

@@Hasanaljadid Seychelles does not produce anything, Mauritius has got a modern economy with all sectors functioning well from agriculture to manufacture to the services Not so long ago, Seychelles was a one party state, Mauritius is a robust democracy

Mauritius is a well rounded and promising country but what do you mean by “most prosperous” ? It only tops the list of Human Freedom Index with a good 8.01 It does not top any other lists in terms of parameters but comes second in most happy country of Africa (70th) just behind Libya (66th)

With Libya before us 🤣 I mean seriously, that list is a joke In terms of HDI, HDI inflation adjusted, HDI inequality adjusted, Democracy Index etc. Objective lists compiled by the UN and other serious organisations, Mauritius, overall, comes out first If you had to choose between Libya and Mauritius, would you pick Libya ? Don't be ridiculous

@@varoonnone7159 I’ve checked IHDI and HDI and Seychelles still seems to do better than Mauritius, tho you guys come 2nd 🥈 Also these lists and every other lists are just one of the few ways to define a country, if you think you guys are the best in Africa, go ahead and be proud.
