Zack you hit the nail on the head once again... I'm an African American born and raised in Chicago, I am married to an Togolese super woman, we have a home in Lome, Togo... Everything you said is right on point, we are one people... I never had any problems with Africans, they're my brothers and sisters... When I first started meeting many Africans, I was surprised, I was very uneducated about Africa... I thought my African brothers and sisters were on the front line of the battle with racism, I did not know about colonialism, it wasn't taught here in the states, just like they weren't properly taught about African Americans... The say the least I was very surprised, but I am so glad that many of us are finally coming together as a people... The awakening is finally happening... we are one people...
Can you PLZZZZZZ explain in Detail how are we one people when Zulu/igbo/yoruba/Fulani/dogon etc don't see themselves as one people ❓ Why do we all need to be the same people in order to work together ❓
I have encountered Africans showing favortism to white people with greetings & smiles & plattitudes while ignoring the smiling AA greeting them as a decent courtesy. When thrown in a work project together, the AA asked the African why he ignored the kindnesses altogether of the AA. He stated it was because he doesn't greet strangers. I stated you had plenty of greetings for white coworkers you didn't know. I watched you. Why is that. He remained silent. Then I told him when I visited Nigeria, they were very welcoming. Once he learned that I had been to Africa & members of my family had gone been visiting various parts of Africa since the 70s (Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Morroco, Nigeria) he lightened up & we became friendly. Just work through the differences. Be honest but not aggressive. Seek understanding. AA are the same people, & just because we grew up in America is no reason to hate AA, because I see Africans breaking their necks to get to the same Western nations that AA ancestors were forced to come to without remedy. We made civil rights possible for all groups that are not white anglo saxon males. Our ancestors helped the Western nations to prosper. We ought to love & respect one another on the Continent of Akebulan & off; full stop.

When Africans were trafficked into the Trans Atlantic slave trade, they left behind their mothers, fathers, spouses, children never to see them again. The us verses them claim is devoid of reason, because someone in Gambia, Benin, Ivory Coast, Cameroon has ancestors who were buried in Africa and America broken hearted.

Don't believe what u see from western media, we have people that look like us, that are paid puppets. We love out brothas and sistas in Africa. I don’t care if Africans hate Us African Americans, I am a so called African American and I Love my people 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Zack, Thank You for being One Who Unites Us!
I don’t think they hate us but America and the Western World has done a number on us on both sides of the Atlantic with the propaganda. Theres a two way smear campaign with them being told bs about us and us being fed bs about them. It’s by design.
The problem is that the media is painting Africa bad to the rest of the world..but we love every person all around the world.. America..Carribbean.. Middle East n all .we love each other.

Sorry I don't unite with people who have nothing to offer me. I don't rap. I dont play basket ball. So black americans.have nothing to offer me. Everybody is courting African people because of the wealth under their feet. Russians are bringing their nuclear technology, Chinese are building high speed trains all over Africa. All u black American bring is your.sense of entitlement. No thanks. Africa unity is between African born and raised who understand the continent. U have nothing to offer.
When will we understand we are one people if you have African Ancestry. We must stop generalizing each other. There is good and bad in every race. Judge people on how they treat you personally. As an African American I have so much love for all black people. If I meet bad black people I don't interact with them. If you are kind and compassionate then I can relate.
I'm not trying to generalize, but I have seen more hatred and desire for separation coming from Black Americans. Africans who say that we are the same people are quickly reprimanded by certain black Americans who accuse them of having stolen their opportunity in the United States on the networks. I experienced discrimination in the United States during my short stay there (Luckily, I met more black Americans who didn't hate me and some are still friends with me). But even on the networks, you will especially see certain Black Americans despising Africans. Coming from French-speaking Africa where black Americans are enormously appreciated and defended when there are debates with white French speakers, I was really surprised to see the hatred of black Americans or blacks in general towards Africans when I I started learning English to watch videos. linked to the United States. A few years ago, in most of the West Indies, they completely forbade their children from marrying Africans. Haitians are the black descendants I have seen appreciate Africans the most and loudly declare that they are proud of their African roots (including Brazilians). But this is only my experience and I am not generalizing except that the internet is full of videos of hatred towards Africans. But I really share your point of view and thank you for having a mentality of unity rather than division because the ignorant (blacks in general) who get carried away by hatred have not yet understood that unity makes force and that division helps us remain forever socially inferior, serving the interests of those who do not like us. Have a nice day/evening

In the same way, you sell them for money. Many Africans who travel to America are willing to collaborate with negatives that further marginalized black American to be accepted and validated by white Americans
Black americans are NOT trying to make African people life better in America. They have insulted and persecuted African people for decades. They are not making white people life better either.
@realpillvintage628 He did say not All Africans dislike AA. There are more love towards our AA brothers/sisters from Africans than there is dislike. Same goes to AA disliking Africans. However, I believe there are more love than dislike. There’s dislike everywhere, even within close relatives. Our sole duty is to unite, cheer, encourage, and support one another.
Zack I have been watching your videos religiously for a least a year now. I think this is my very first comment. You make a lot of very good points about this issue as usual. First of all I am 1000% for unity of all black/African people. Whether you live in the continent of Africa, I am somewhere in the Caribbean, Brazil, the US, Europe we are all the same. And we came from the same tree. If the person genuinely want to have a bond with his or her roots we should welcome that person with open arms. The issue that has kept us divided is ignorance which is one of the effects of slavery, and colonization.
The ignorance isn't bitn out of slavery and colonization. That is a crutch. It's borne out of wilfully not making any effort to learn about others outside one's community
A decade ago I had a an African, I believe Nigerian, co-worker that conspired with the Hispanic co workers to get me fired. because I started after them and I was in Management. They didn’t care about my education or experience they felt I didn’t deserve it. Well, The company is closed, I am self employed and I haven’t talked to anyone not FBA or white since that experience, but I haven’t had any opportunity to speak with people that aren’t clients.
Laziness refers to having Asians profit off your people. Laziness refers to having your people sold off everywhere apparently. Laziness refers to reaching out for protection from everyone else rather than standing strong with your people.
The worst laziness is having all the opportunities more than the 70% of the world and still choose to be poor, waiting to be spoon fed and handed handouts.
@@ddouye3969obviously you have believed the words of the oppressor. If an FBA was lazy, then people from Africa wouldn't be able to travel to America because there would still be slavery. Think about that🤔

That'd exactly right. As a resident of Tanzania my Kenyan wife also got that treatment because her Swahili is audibly Kenyan and Kenya has a higher currency. So i never tripped out about that. They also need to different prices for foreigners to control inflation. I hope that sweet looking girl that he is refering to learns Swahili and comes back. The people are quite welcoming once you can connect worth them.
This conversation is important and the more we have it the more we will be able to close the gap. We as Black Americans want to be accepted but I think we need to remember that when we go to the continent that some people are so busy trying to survive that they don’t have the emotional capacity to even recognize that we are diasporans returning home. They just see someone that can buy a Zanzibar pizza and they want to sell it to you.
& Why Would Black-Americans Want To Be #ACCEPTED BY 3RD-WORLD-AFRICANS????🤔 When It Doesn't Actually Benefit "Black Americans" In Anyyyy Way At Allll It (ONLY) "BENEFITS #AFRICAN #IMMIGRANTS"...So when ppl say this nonsense u actually just make "Black-Americans" look & sound like we're sooo weak, desperate, pathetic, & thirsty. When we're (NOT) bc why would Black Americans living in a 1st-World Country already really need to BEGG!!!!!!!!!!!!! "3RD-WORLD-PPL" FOR ACCEPTANCE?????...MAKE IT MAKE SENSE?????🤔 Bc Black-Americans, Africans, Caribbeans, & Afro-Latinos, also are actually allll totally different ethnicities, lineages, & cultures, of ppl. With totally "different & separate" histories, backrounds, cultures, lingo, music, foods, religion, ethnicity, Ect...So Nooooo we have nothing in common with African ppl at all & "Black-Americans" actually (DON'T) even have anyyy African relatives at Alllll TBH. So Nooooo we definitely "DON'T NEED #ACCEPTANCE FROM AFRICANS" bc we are actually "Black-American-Citizens" that can never be dep0rted from "American"...But African, Caribbean, & Afro-Latino, Immigrants, can allll be "DEP0RTED FROM AMERICAN" that's the difference...So get some self-esteem & QUIT #BEGGING "3RD-WORLD-PPL" FOR "ACCEPTANCE" SMH BC BLACK-AMERICANS ACTUALLY DON'T BENEFIT FROM AFRICANS AT AIIII...THEY (ONLY) BENEFIT OFF OF #TETHERING ONTO BLACK-AMERICANS HISTORY, CIVIL-RIGHTS-MOVEMENT, FIGHT, BENEFITS, & ACCOMPLISHMENTS. & OFF OF OUR MUSIC, HBCU'S, SOUL FOOD, & OFF BLACK-AMERICANS WHOLE-IDENTITY, HISTORY, & CULTURE, IN AMERICA...THAT BLACK-AMERICANS ALSO HAD TO FIGHT!!!!!!! & DIE!!!!!! FOR ALONE. & AII BC #AFRICA DECIDED TO "SELL-OUT!!!!!!! THE WHOLE CONTINENT OF AFRICA" INTO #SLAVERY FOR "SHINY-TRINKETS"...SMH🤦 SO NOOOO "BLACK-AMERICANS NEVER NEEDED AFRICAN-PPLS ACCEPTANCE" AT AIIIII TBH.
@jaymarcase9737 it’s not just that these store traders are tryna make a honest buck. If you were in their shoes would you sell that pizza at same price your neighbor can afford. No. You would sell at best price you can get. Market economics. If you don’t like it try price haggling but don’t get offended or take it personally.
@@originalceo the issue is that it boils down to fairness. If you sell a Pizza to someone for $5 and I’m next in line and have to pay $15 due to the vendor’s preconceived notions, it’ll come off as unfair. The motivations are understandable but the prospective customer has every right to feel slighted.
Excellent commentary. I am African American. I have lived my African culture almond of my life. My children were ridiculed because their peers thought that we were continental Africans. All blacks are welcome, just don't expect special treatment from any one. Just blend in and fall in line simple
You are right. I’m from Papua New Guinea and when I moved to Australia, I made it an effort to never change my roots and culture. It’s done me well so far.
I don't know how you do it Zack, but brilliant broadcast. You manage to simply you answer and it make sense. That's true what you said about Africans. However other African Americans have a condensating attitude towards us when they land in Africa.
And y’all have the same attitudes when you come to America!! And it’s beyond offensive bc if it wasn’t for us you wouldn’t even be able to come over here!! That’s a fact , the civil rights bill made it possible for you to come over here to America !! Bc America damn sure wasn’t letting immigrants that look like y’all come over here before 1965!!

We don't care about that silly ass country that is about to go to war. Leave our resources that give you jobs, phones, cars, and fast internet and all that development alone then you can keep your country and we won't come there

It is a "bummer" that so many are complicit... Same occurs here...
I’ve been to the continent before twice and had a pretty decent time in regards of their culture and personality. Sure no one is perfect no matter where we’re from on this earth but my experience was pleasant. NOW! There’s something going on with Africans I encountered here in the US. I really believe they’re somehow hand picked of whom not only comes but foreigners the US allows to stay. I’m speaking the truth when I say I’ve experienced around 90% of Africans regardless of country with distance and quite rude personalities. I even had one to categorize us BA and I’ve never met him before. We’ve been called lazy, told it’s none of your business, middle finger etc and no it wasn’t anything I or anything someone done to warrant that treatment. And I say to myself we as black Americans paid the way for them, why the pushback?! Not all I mentioned bc I socialize with a lovely Kenya woman at the gym but again there’s something strange going on with how the ones who’s here have such disgusting attitudes.

It pains me to hear such a statement. I am a Ghanaian living in Germany now. How I wish to have my relatives from America, as Friends or Relatives in Ghana. Please remove the negative thoughts because we love you all. Enjoy Africa to the fullest.
I lived in Germany off and on from 2001 until 2016. Africans did not congregate with Africans from American. I don’t know how it is now but they were so jealous of us. That’s not our issue that’s their issue.🤷🏿
Why will an African be jealous of u people. US government statistics says 80 percent of u cant pass BASIC high school math. U think people are jealous of your shoes and clothes? pathetics. The majority of African in germany goes to attend Universities or do business.
It sounds like black culture has the same roots. For example, if one of you come to visit me at dinner time and I made a pot of food, I will share it with you (your own plate). You will not go hungry. When I visited YT friends in Europe at dinner time, I thought it strange and rude that they do not offer you to join them for dinner. Not that everyone is this way, but majority seemed to eat separately.
The 'Muzungu price' phenomenon is not unique to Africa, it takes place everywhere in the world & is unique to the informal business (flee-market) sector. I encountered the same thing at flee-markets in France, the US, Germany, Italy & Greece, Russia, China etc. Of course, it will appear as if its an 'African thing' because businesses in most African countries are largely informal, from taxis to accommodation, food, clothing & virtually everything as opposed to business in the West which is overwhelmingly formal & owned by corporations.

This is a great video! My wife and I have plans to visit Africa one day when it’s financially feasible for us. We don’t know what country, but we have time to figure it out.
Thank you for this video. Please allow me to make a comment. Obviously, I am omuzungu from the US. The only other country I have been to is the pearl of Africa, Uganda. I am in love with Uganda because of its natural beauty and climate. Also because of how wonderful and welcoming the Ugandan people are: I love Uganda so much that I found and married my beautiful bride there in Buganda. When it comes to acceptance, I don't think it is completely a color, or nationality, thing. I am a natural American citizen who has never felt welcome here in America, and I'm white! However, the people of Uganda, and especially my new family there, have welcomed me with open arms, hearts, and no pretense. Again I say that I love Uganda, and it looks like I will be immigrating there, and I am so excited about the opportunity to visit all of the EAC.
BP globally do not have the luxury to bicker about who is the better Blk person. While groups are gathering resources and building greater wealth and a legacy for their families, people want to discuss which blk group is the worst (which serves as a distraction) I don't understand people with that type of smallminded mindset.
This is the best message I have heard in a long time about blacks understanding each other from their spaces and where they live. We are all black but we are still very different. Thank you my brother from another mother. Good word.
Thank you for being kind with your words. I tell people of all cultures and races to travel to other countries and see their culture because we are not all the same. It is a learning curve for some of us.

@eddixon9730. The custom ( culture) you grew up in whilst in the Southern states is embodied in the adage " it takes a village to raise a child ". Hence the inherent respect for all seniors by African youth. You usually get respect according to how the perceives you in relation to them; Mother/Father/brother / sister/ aunty/ uncle. Sadly, colonial influence damaged but did not erase this perspective. Zack is on point.
Very well thought out and said my brother. I aim for more so that I can share more of what I have. So that we all have more. May we come back to our traditions that lift our humanity. Bless us all. Your sister from Amerikka! 🖤❤️💚🇺🇸🔆🔆 We love you Zack

I say that because I had an experience w/ an African and it just made me realize that all skin folk ain't kinfolk even if they are from the motherland.
That’s true! When I went to Africa they were calling me colored boy. I said no I’m African and they laughed at me. It is what it is. I’m not tripping anymore.
I think alot of of the dislike is caused my years of the Europeans putting negative thoughts in our heads. Why, do people in the Diaspora think black Americans think their better is probably due to our own ignorance living in the west.
Zack, yuh nuh easy. (You are not simple, not predictable. You are unpredictable.) They do that same garbage in Jamaica if they think that you are a foreigner. I usually find out the prices before going out shopping. Big up yuh self.💜🇯🇲🇨🇦
Yes I eat lots of authentic West African delicious meals, mainly Togolese food, but my awareness of self and the love for my people started way back when I first saw the movie Roots... That movie woke up the hidden warrior inside of me, from that time the ancestors have guided my steps...
I travel the world but not Africa. I had people in Ethiopia and Kenya work for me. Where ever I go I never forget I'm a guest. Even if I don't speak the language I respect the culture. Many Americans leave the country and think the world is like them. Some have a western arrogance. I'm moving to the Dominican republic to be with my daughter and enter in their world not mine . I have eaten from the same pan as Muslim in Doha.
(African American in Arizona) I'm in my 40s, growing up, we African Americans knew about white supremacy, and after all the mistreatment and hatred white people did to us, for the most part, we African Americans didn't hate white people, we just tried to go about living ourselves one day at a time, and tried to protect ourselves. White people had SYSTEMS in place to sabotage us African Americans...now what we African Americans DIDN'T KNOW was, how other groups: Hispanics, Native Americans, Asians, blacks in the Caribbean, and even continental black Africans, aligned themselves with WHITE supremacy or even Arab supremacy (Somalia). Some of us African Americans are ok, but some of us didn't mentally survive America. I'm Pan African, but I have to say. We African Americans or Israelites need to unite and help each other... because to the rest of the world, and that includes black Africans, were just someone they can try to use, look down on, criticize, or try to take advantage of. Out of ALL THE BLACK PEOPLE IN THE WORLD, how did this negative narrative about African Americans spread around the world, even amongst black people. Have you noticed, that this negative view or narrative is not collectively put on any other black group. African Americans have probably tried to help black Africa thru giving time and money More than any other black group in the world! Europeans and Arabs have a LONG HISTORY of killing and mistreating BLACK PEOPLE, or black Africans...and let me tell you, even with that, I have NEVER seen or heard of a black African having hatred, malice, or having a negative view or stigma towards Europeans or Arabs. Please try to imagine the sheer scale at which Europeans and Arabs have mistreated, killed and murdered, and plotted against black Africa...now ask yourself, why in the world, out of ALL the black people in the world...why the negative focus or criticism even exists towards African Americans??? WHAT DID AFRICAN AMERICANS DO TO AFRICANS OR ANY BLACKS IN THE WORLD, to gain such high negative visibility?!?!?
Black Americans, Africans and CaribbeanS DO NOT agree on a common enemy, we DO NOT share a common culture, we have distinctly different perspectives which is why we can easily identify that someone is foreign in our native country. Our skin tone can’t be the unifying factor. Europeans united to exploit the wealth and resources of Africa and before that they were constantly at war with one another.
I'm a Jamaican living in America, I consider myself to be Jamaican, so I always wonder why blacks in America refer to thereself, an African American, and not just American. I think only people from Africa are Africans, but we are all black, and our ancestors are Africans. It is all love, though ❤❤❤
Yeah keep ur dam opinion...so if am born in America I can't consider myself african America 😮shame on you that's really hurtful to us and I have and will call myself african American 👏🏾 stop your hate
@@neviamuktar they made you remember Africa . Especially guys like KKK. They made sure u aint free and equal. They killed black leaders. And European American leaders who want equality. Now those Europeans who are in Africa want to be called Africans not European African.
As a Haytian woman years ago I was not aware of the Africans customs, now I know, but as far as criticizing Africans there are many bad black Americans also, there are everywhere.

Yo I really don’t like this subject. It is divisive and honestly I don’t find it real. I have always had friends from the continent growing up and in my adult life I have met wonderful people from the continent who I still engage with regularly. I think people who think this way are brainwashed by the pale people or are doing out of ignorance or insecurity.
Good content my brother. Your brother from America who will be traveling to Africa for the first time next month. I appreciate the information and will keep in mind when traveling to the continent. Thanks, i am Gabriel.
LOL. Liar. Zero anthropological evidence. What is your language? What is your name? What are your customs? Name me your social structure? Tell us someone prominent from 1000 years ago in the "indigenous" demographic? What are your creation tales or religious symbols or rites? Mr Indigenous answer these please. Many thanks
Lets be honest.. Huge ego problems in US and the 'exceptional negro' fallacy that often makes them think they are more special and want to isolate etc. However, we also have to realise that they went through a lot more psychological harm and for much longer than the rest of us (mostly). Therefore we should try to have more patience and help them change more. The ego is an American issue, not how they naturally are. Love from London.
It’s within their right to think like that… when they were sold( not them per se) they felt rejected … & honestly no one called them back home… until not long ago they themselves visited Africa… there was a small ceremony… for the first time most of the people heard the whole truth about slave trade…
you miss the point. We in the diaspora were ALL sold, our ancestors were on the same boats and just got off in different places. So we all have that right, but some day we will have to just come together as a family and understand no one is coming for us but we can help Africa anyway@@keleohilebonyanaleahdithej7486
@@keleohilebonyanaleahdithej7486 the africans back then couldnt defend themselves Its like when your child is taken away by the State you watch them helplessly go.
Well said! My African brother. We both have to sit down. With an open mind and get to know each other all over again.. let's start to build, trust and bond with each other. I want to talk to my African brothers and sisters😊

Zack, Africans inside the continent are also in various countries just like Africans outside the continent are in various countries. Next time could you please say Jamaican Africans or American Africans or Trinidadian Africans H8 Nigerian Africans or Ugandan Africans or Kenyan Africans. 😂👍
@@MrStanvanBuklyr No? Well, if it's wrong to say African Nigerian, African Ugandan or African Kenyan, then it's also wrong to say African American. I don't want to be called African Jamaican if it's not cool to say African Ethiopian. Zack is gonna have to title it "Why Africans HA.TE Africans"🤣
From Mali and a few West African lands... thousands of years; there were looking for beyond their shores. That make them indigenous; thy mixed, later with ' siberians" resettlers, then shaping a new people, different tribes (now natios???), then Incas, then, then.... so thousand years is a very very longtime! They were mostly dark-skinned but that wasn't an issue until europeans (also) came in later! The 'shoot' about colors was created to divide and conquer, you know! Now, this 'thing' about africans vs african Americans is obviously bs! It's the same evil strategy to divide. Where does it come from? My analysis say, it's a perception of cultural subtle differences. That's it! Also, do your research... books, interviews, less social media personal views. No hype! It's unnecessary. "Each one teach one" I'M an african! Peace
