Ahsoka didn’t reject the essence of the Jedi Order, its core principles, or the light side of the Force. Instead, she defied the dogma that bound them. While she may not bear the title of Jedi Knight, she tirelessly worked for the greater good in the galaxy. Many believe she became a “Grey Jedi,” Force-users who navigate in the light and dark. But true balance in the Force only comes when it is not corrupted by the dark side. Ahsoka grasped what it took Luke Skywalker longer to learn, that the Force does not belong to the Jedi, and the Order’s teachings are not the sole source of wisdom. By breaking away from the Jedi Order, Ahsoka was spared the path of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda. She recognized that a rigid organization entangled with the politics of the galaxy was not the most effective way to serve the Force.

Actually when I heard those words I got chills, part of me just knew that in that moment she was truly ready to face Vader, face her master, and that her training was most certainly complete she may not be a knight or a master but she certainly is going to be an amazing warrior and teacher if it comes to it.

To me, for Anakin to actually achieve true balance in the force without becoming Vader meant he would have to chose to leave the Jedi Order like Ahsoka & truly live as a free man not torn between JEDI or SITH dogma! I often joke that the FORCE IS KIND OF AN UNCARING DICK (Shimi's involuntary virgin birth & her subsequent death prove that as does those who aren't force sensitive or don't get the opportunity to come back as Force Ghosts)! But I think that is cause the FORCE has a DARK SIDE & a LIGHT SIDE, with Force users often misinterpreting its will to suit their own ends or belief systems which leads to conflict which can lead to fear, anger, & hatred but could also lead to courage, joy, & compassion! Ahsoka was the Padawan of the Jedi who became DARTH VADER but didn't fall to his blade or the Dark Side, just learned that the Jedi's fall was the will of the FORCE cause the JEDI created an imbalance & were UNCARING jerks who would turn their backs on her then when she was proven innocent would act like they did nothing wrong or at least give her the benefit of the doubt or that it was a SEPARATIST/SITH plot to frame her! They proved my own personal philosophy, that ARROGANCE IS THE BANE OF INTELLIGENCE, as despite being wise masters they couldn't see they were being played by Bariss who was just as much of a hypocrite as the council was as at least Anakin trusted her & proved her innocence!

The force is only ever in balance when you use both sides but let neither corrupt you. Even the emotions that use the dark side must be embraced. But they must be balanced by the emotions of the light. Hatred must be balanced with love. Anger with empathy. Arrogance with humility. Anxiety with peace. Desire with patience . You must not allow either side to overwhelm you.

I was so proud to see a semi grey-Jedi, then with Cal, a REAL grey-Jedi I was BLOWN AWAY and soooo happy, I would never align myself with the Jedi order or the Sith empire and would have found a middle like Cal and Ahsoka using a balance in the light and dark, not allowing either side to take control fully

So basically she figured out that politics & the force aren't good bedfellows! Guess you could say she had the attributes of a great Jedi but the wisdom to see the problems that lead to their fall! She is humble enough to realize that it is arrogant to think the one group has all the answers regarding the Force! Not to say even wise masters like Obi-Wan & Yoda were perfect Saints of the Light Side just as Anakin/Vader wasn't intended to he a representation of balance between the Light & Dark Sides as the Jedi saw it or that he would end the SITH as he is supposed to be an agent balance not destroy the dark side or its followers, again the dark side is just another half of the light as they are two sides of the same coin which is why the Force can impregnate a slave woman without her say so to create a Chosen One to bring balance cause Palp's Master tried to play GOD!

There's been this long-running debate if gray Jedi are thing or not and obviously they're not a thing but having a gray side of the force that's a little more unclear we've definitely seen people use the dark side and not become evil by never letting it fully corrupt them so who knows we also have that bendu creature from rebels so there's definitely a little evidence that there are gray areas in the force between the dark and light

What is balance if not both light and dark? I’ve just googled it and here’s what I found: “a condition in which different elements are equal or in the correct proportions.” To much light side is horrible, as well to much dark side is bad to, the solution is having both of them and not get vicious to only one

George Lucas explained in a documentary included with the VHS version of Episode IV that balance in the Force is about doing away with evil. This means that balance in the Force should not be taken to mean "equal parts of light and dark" but instead as "do away with dark, remain in light always".

@@shalidor8102 Ok so first of all, that’s not necessarily what George Lucas thinks, its what the Jedi says about their chosen one prophecy (all this balance topic was created by the Jedi with this prophecy). Second writers can have a particular vision about their own books/movies sometimes, they are not absolute truth when they talk about it, they are the absolute truth when they create it, George can see something in Star Wars that the most people would disagree, an example being his favorite character is Jar Jar, many people will disagree with that saying that there are better characters. An example I can give you is Scaret Gospels from Cliver Barker, it seems to be a sequel to The Hellbound Heart but you soon realize it isn’t, it completes overrides the original book, so when Barker gave us this book he showef a way to look at it in a different way that the original usually does, I don’t think Clive himself sees The Hellbound Heart the way he shows us in Scarlet Gospels but yet he shows it is a possible interpretation, the case might be similar with George Lucas and the chosen one/balance stuff.

@cogumelo6963 What George Lucas said in that documentary may not necessarily be canonical in the future, but it tracks with the way the main films have handled the conflict between light and dark. In both the original and sequel trilogies, balance is implied to be achieved with the complete victory over the enforcers of the dark side. Within the setting itself, people could certainly hold different beliefs as to how balance in the force is achieved and maintained. However, we have been told straight from the horse's mouth that balance comes by driving away the dark side. Until the horse talks again and begins to show us that what was previously known is not necessarily true anymore, that's the end-all be-all.

@@jakob8940 But we’ve seen a galaxy filled with the light side in the prequels, the Jedi were all around and the Sith were hidind. In this situation (that should be balanced if light means balance) the galaxy would be a perfect place, while it was the opposite, it had so many problems that for many people the empire was better even with it’s problems. If light was balance shouldn’t the galaxy be far better was we’ve seen in the prequels and high republic era?

Ahsoka was what the Jedi should have been and failed to become, an order that embraced a balanced view of the Force that was cut off from the politics and bureaucratic crap of the Republic. Her rejection of the dogmatic hypocritical incompetence that "united" the order helped her avoid the fates that awaited those who still embraced that failed order and achieved an unique and gray enlightenment that should of been embraced, not rejected by those who were "blinded by the light".

Lol I was in no way devastated, the prequel order reaped what it sowed. To me she was a true Jedi, she followed the light but wasn't bound by hypocritical dogma and militant service to a corrupt political system, she saw the writing on the wall which is why she not only survived but thrived while Yoda and obiwan lived regretfully In exile.
