i love poaton but ur point doesnt stand because ufc has INSANE cherry picking when matchmaking pereira. no one is mad at poaton for not wanting to offensively wrestle lmao. would be like if conor never had to fight chad mendes or khabib and only fought kickboxers his whole career. the only "wrestler" alex has had to fight was jan and jan isnt really a wrestler. its going to be hard for me to ever call him goat if he doesnt fight the best of the best. all of that being said its not poatons fault obviously. if he can fight these strikers he should. its on the UFC for not making him defend vs magomed. he shouldve had the title shot for sure.

In my opinion, Alex is the GOAT in his own right because he's a two-division champion in both Glory and the UFC, a feat that's never been done in combat sports. While he may not be as well-rounded or accomplished in the UFC as Jones, Alex's story, aura, and consistent activity make him special. He doesn’t need to trash-talk or even speak English; fans are drawn to him because he always delivers thrilling, exciting fights.

Izzy is considered as the 2nd best MW in UFC history and couldn’t even win 1 belt and got ran out of the organization after Poatan left him sucking off an oxygen machine in Brazil. Your wrong Daniel, Tito Ortiz is the second longest defending LHW champion. He defended his belt 5 times and 4 times after Zuffa purchased the UFC in Jan of 2001. And Chuck Liddell has 4 title defenses. You and Alex are tied at 3 title defenses.
This is MMA . If some wrestlers and grapplers like Henry, DC, kabib, couture were dominant in wrestling and can be called pound for pound no .1 , then Guys like Israel Adesanya, Alex Pereira are also dominant in what they do in striking so you don't need to be well rounded to be called pound for pound. You just gotta beat whoever you put infront of them and be dominant.

Against 3 legitimate light heavyweight weights, all the opponent that Alex has fought are better than any fighter Jon jones has fought (he beat dc on steroids, Alex Gustafson on steroids, and lost against Dominik Reyes )
Alex already has more title defenses than Khabib and has faced more champions in the process. Alex is a GOAT. A two-division champ-something Khabib could never achieve.

I dont think I agree with dc and everyone else, i think Alex just fell behind because he actually understood how dangerous Khalil was and chose to break him down slowly instead of risking mistakes.

Some Champs, whom Dana actually likes get to call the shots to a point. But Julianna is not one of them. So if Dana wants to make the fight but Julianna stalls it he'll just make an interim fight. I think Dana wants Harrison to be Champ.
I'm convinced Chael's role on this program is to oversell underdogs. Odds look better when Uncle Chael is singing your praises and it's easier to build hype for more of an "even" match. (I'm absolutely here for it)
Juliana knows she has to try and milk this title run for what ever she can , because Kayla and Amanda will both somke her... and in some ways you can't blame her . She may only get one title defense chance and she wants the most money for it . I imagine she will try to sit out a year if she can and maximize her side gigs , appearance money and endorsements...

Alex is a more pure athlete , the Rock is great but obviously he is more entertaininer now . Comparing them is like comparing Muhammad Ali to Hulk Hogan .
