I think it’s ‘affecting’ a lot of music fans because we realize that our childhood memories and music memories leading up to today were skewed and/or a lie and/or built on the backs of vulnerable people who were, in turn, exploited and abused. We’re mourning where our hobby - the music - fits into our life now knowing how evil the music industry is. 🤷🏾♀️

He's quite ignorant, when it comes to knowing about black culture in this country, or he would not have made as many missteps as he has done. He's moving by the dictates of the heads of these music industries, the Lucien Granges, the Clive Davises, etc. Drake and others like him, Diddy, Jay Z, who are looking out for only themselves, are their slaves. The music industry has done this gentrification of every genre in the music business, that we have created. And now they are trying to force this watered-down pablum that is passing for hip hop, rap and R&B on us, trying to lull us into this senseless, complacency of acceptance. That is what's playing out now. Drake came to gentrify these genres. Hopefully he won't be able to. Kendrick and others like him (for there are many; they just don't have the backing like a Drake does.) They can't and are not supposed to take this on by themselves. We have to rally around them and do our part not to let them keep gentrifying those things in our culture that we hold dear to us.
