Getting Baryonyx or Sucho would make more sense for the ecosystem. Giving Deinos a bit more territorial challenges. But it would probably require deeper rivers and waters here and there.

Rex coming before Allo would be an ecological disaster. The presence of a fully grown tyrant can greatly suppress not only the amount of prey animals in an area due to it's huge metabolic needs, but the amount of smaller predators also as it gets rid of competition. Knowing The Isle, though? Half the server's population will be rex, so it'll be a horrific cannibal fair, where the rexes lucky enough to reach adult first rule with impunity, and everything else avoiding them like the plague. Atleast Stego and Dibble have a fairer than average chance against a solo Allo... Rex will obliterate all but the most skilled players on the island

It would make more sense to not have a big apex predator first, because it would literally wipe out all Dino's fast, we need stuff that would balance the food chain, then add the trex. I think allo should be added to, its balanced enough to be in the food chain and allo is in my top 10 favorite dinos to.

From a financial standpoint, I feel like Allo coming first is smarter. Imagine a slew of new players buying The Isle, trying to play T-rex, then learning that you can't play one on Officials. How many of those players would then demand a refund? On the other hand, Allo being added first allows all servers to enjoy its addition. Plus, to me Allo feels like an "Eh, close enough!" dino to play in place of a Rex for those Rex Fans out there. Would _love_ to have Baryonyx added first since its a semi-aquatic, but I'd be fine with Allo!

Probably allo, we know rex is coming soon/next alongside trike, so it cant be the mystery dino, allo has had some things about it but its development has been under the radar probably because they want to release it as a surprise to prepare for an apex.

I think Allo would be a good fit for a middle ground in terms of coming into game.

I saw on a more recent post from the devs that altough they said that rex and trike will be on unofficial, thats not set in stone. They just said that, that way we dont expect them to be on officials.

I like your theory on Allo. Honestly if they did put T-Rex up, then they need something to knock the numbers down player wise so there isn't a billion T-rexs roaming around like you mentioned. Long wish here, but if they did hypothetically, I would throw something along side it like Edmontosaurus or go bigger and add an apex like Parasaurolophus or Ankylosaurus.

Idk I still think it might be Alberto. Could be Allo, but that just doesn't feel like a "mystery dino" as we all were expecting it to come relatively soon. Nobody was expecting Alberto, so that would feel more like a mystery dino. Plus the size would be right and it'd be good competition for Stego. And the shadow did match Alberto pretty well, the arms look a little longer than a Rex but not quite as long as an Allo, and Alberto's head crest is a little more prominent than Rex but slightly less than Allo. It's one of the only dinos who's shadow could be mistaken for both of them.

Regarding the shadow, you have to consider the perspective as well and recognizing that with the shadow at an angle, it means it makes certain specific pieces look smaller. Meaning that if that shadow was a very straight on thing and not at an angle on spotty ground with rocks and clutter, we'd actually have a much larger and clearer looking crest and arms. While rexes have a crest, yes, it's barely as big as the shadow's looks to be nor is is even remotely close to being as sharp and pointed in comparison.

In an ideal world, after Carno and Cerato, we would have gotten Allo and Sucho and only then a big apex carnivore like Rex. On the herbivore side we have a bit more reasonable of a transition from Pachy to Trike with stuff like Teno, Diablo, and Stego in the middle, with good variety size-wise, although it would still be cool if we had Maia and Para there before Trike.

They can always pull off slightly more balanced Rex for the sake of horde test (decreased weight in a similar manner like with dibble´s current weight shenanigans) + with some abilities disabled, again, just like with first drop of dibble without sparring. I personally kinda like this approach. You can test a playable that is not entirely finished in a test build and basically seeing it getting the shape in real time. Maybe even help fleshing out the balancing for the playable.

To be frank they should hold Apex tier Dinos currently and focus on mid tier we already have Stego and Deino they should add Allo and a few more mid teir herbivores

I would like to see them are kentrosaur or a species to whom the power to compete with carno would be majungasaurus, which could be a predator that would be feed it on by cerato but it has a bite force that is above every single creature right now in isles except for the croc

I just can't wait to see the T-Rex in game - the only thing i miss from legacy is the giant apex's, sure i miss allo too but cerato isnt that bad and carno is really fun for chasing down raptors/dilos lol so its not like we are void of a medium tier experience like we are with an apex land carnivore atm. And its not even solely for me playing it but rather just for example the old days watching/participating as a pack of raptors or dilos try to take on a rex at party fields on thenyaw lol except now with pouncing/grappling or hallucinations. Just simply hearing the super loud Apex roars in the distance. It'll be fun for me.

And an other thing why it’s is allo they had a stream taking about anky and they were making allos trotting animation in the stream EDIT: Oh and! Allo and dibble were the same weight I think all was 1.5 and dibble 1.4 so they would be skill match ups. And Alberto is 2x times the weight of a dibble, dibble would not stand a chance vs Alberto.

With evidence backing the concept of allo being the ultimate F around and Find Out dino I appreciate that Allo is concepted to eat anything it can get its hands or teeth on.

I don't quite know how to feel about apexes being unofficial only. I understand why the would make such a decision but for me personally, I dont know of any good unofficial servers that aren't some variation of deathmatch. It'll be the same situation as it would be on officials with 90% of the server players choosing apexes.

I feel like only thing the game needs is more mid size herbivores currently we ONLY have teno and soon dibble but only 2 isnt enough usualy a echo system has more herbivour species then carnivores herbivores usualy more diverse.

They could just cap Rex at the sub adult stage for officials, and it would just be a upper mid tier.

They're bringing them this early so they can have info early and see how they're going to eventually bring in the other apexes, it's just how they bring in a new mechanic on a dino so they can speed up the process for the other dinos with that mechanic

i want to flesh out the breeding system more, lets make breeding about creating spawn spots for your group your in, like raptors could bread and then manage the eggs for a while and yhem move on and when they die then they can come back as one of their children but the mother and father of those eggs are gone and you two can't breed again so now you need another male to breed with if you want to keep the spawn going after your recent eggs havyall been depleted, lets talk about establishing territory because that can go alone with the breeding system, imagine everytime you breed, your dino get a boost in states and are allowed a chance to establish its own territory, and get a defense boost when defending its own turf on its own turf but have to breed first and keep breeding to keep everything up, breeding don't have to be often, it could be twice a ingame year or something and you have your Territory for that long, assuming you could defend it from other male raptors and predators, that would make breeding with females way more competitive and make two males have to naturally compete for the female to breed with in the game rather thats in a fight or a dance battle, it would have to be done if both wanted to mate but female raptors are few and far in between,

All would be a good predator for Diablo since it can ram and knockdown fully grown ceratos as a teen very easily so I think Ella would be the perfect predator for Diablo

If they make Rex the " mystery dino " then bruh it's the worst mystery that everyone knew about for more than half a year now. So my bet is on Alberto and Allo.

How would T-rex even work in a jungle? The tree density would make it impossible to enter the higher density forests of Evrima. It is still nice to have, especially if we get the larger Sauropods, but for that the trees would have to become destructible.

I'm really fine with accro/allo/sucho before trex. Trex is just a giant carnivore stego and will be a pain in the ass to grow.

Adding rex will kill official servers for good. Their base capacity of only 100 players is quite terrible on gateway, as i feel the map should really hold 200 players and ai. Acro and Allo should come before rex bc in terms of weight allo is quite far from rex, while acro is much closer in weight and it sets up a proper ladder for the carnivores. The natural progression will be: omni, carno, allo, acro, then rex. I feel officials are already in a rough state with all the hackers and low server pop, so rex being added before allo or acro will set a very unbalanced ecosystem for unofficial servers, which are the only hope for this games survival long term. Petid Pieds is probably the only server with solid enough rules and systems to make it so apexes wont be all over the server, but hopefully other servers can figure it out so that there's more places for ppl to play. They should focus on fleshing out the small and mid tier animals as well as fixing and fully implementing dino ai, and not just taco or dryo, but actual ai for raptors, dibbles, tenos, or stegos. I feel if rex came tomorrow, there really wouldnt be a lot of food for rex players other than each other and trikes.

I'm more towards allo as well for the random dino, cuz why would they announce a random dinosaur coming into the game but Rex is already on the roster for up coming dinosaurs and literally on the roster is shows Rex's name and MYSTERY DINOSAUR

I think allo and rex should both be added.. but it would be a much better choice to release allo at the same time or before rex. Right now the only other mid tier carnis we have are carno and cera, carno being the larger one. Adding rex without allo(or any other mid tier to fill the size/power gap) would be a huge blow in the current ecosystem. Now i know they are adding them to community servers for that reason (i think) but i still think adding allo for a nice middle ground would be great. Without that.. we would be going from carno.. to rex and i think that's a big problem.

T-Rex isn't coming. It's only going to the community servers. Which makes it pointless since there are only 2 community servers that have a population and 1 had almost zero AI and the other has stupid rules

They SHOULD have built up the roster like you said, shame on the Devs for starting on Rex and Trike so soon and honestly shame on the playerbase for whinning and crying to even HAVE those overpowered apexes right now. The last thing this game needs is those two right now especially if they're just going to be in Unofficials and AI in Officials, something that could have waited until they had something like I dont know..More aquatics? More small to medium tiers? Things that'll build up the ecosystem and not just destroy it? I dont know man, silly choices for silly reasons honestly.

To be clear I completely agree. Allo makes perfect sense balance wise to give stego a good threat. Rex makes more sense development wise to bring a true land apex into the game to find what works. Having the biggest strongest predator in the game will give the devs a range of power to place mid tier predators like Allo into the game. This will help balance them better than if there wasn’t a bigger predator to compare to.😊

I'm going to stick to saying it's either albertosaurus or rex. Albertosaurus makes sense purely because it can be good as rex replacement on officials. Although i certainly will not be disappointed if it is allo.

Considering how big the roster is eventually gonna get, i hope they increase the server capacity to 200 and then have their AI dinos in the game as well. So far on the horde testing servers, my game is running very well with no drop in fps or stuttering. The only thing i can really complain about in the horde test is the crappy anti cheat that has been around since the beginning of evrima. Plus the lack of other measures to punish or prevent cheating. Trying to hit things as dilo is weird as well, like half my bites dont compute, i dont know the dilo hit box that well, so that might just be me. Plus i think the hallucinations are broken right now. Me and my friend got purple on a stego and we were doing the calls, but the stego never got damaged by any clones or gave any indication of any clones appearing. Kinda sucked Other than those two things, i think the hordetest is going well and changes will be made for the official update that will come out in 20 years.

There's a misconception in your video. The mystery dino was never revealed and yet you mention T-Rex is possibly the mystery dino when it was cleary said it would come out at the same time Triceratop would, so in a pair so T-Rex has something that can tussle it, keep it in check. T-Rex and Eot were confirmed together we just don't know what is the mystery dino. Therefore T-Rex coming out doesn't negate Allo to be the mystery Dino but I feel people aren't thinking outside the box enough with this. Allo would be too obvious for it to be a 'secret dino'. It's as you said a very popular dino after all. I like to imagine the secret dino is a dino that happened to match recent mechanic being developed such as Climbing, burrowing, and I'd argue venom finalization. We also got sparring in hordtesting along with strafing, grappling. I think all these features are the key components as to why a secret dino was slid in the DNA roster because its gameplay happened to come into a converging context of mechanics they share with another dino and thus was convenient for development without delaying anything. At least this is what makes sense to me. I personally keen on Baryonix since I feel it would add some water diversity and a little bit of competition for Deinosuchus and an interesting carni that is semi-aquatic. Unfortunately I really don't think it correlates with recent dev work. Megalania is the most fitting since it can climb, burrow and also is assumed to have a venom like Komodo dragons. I think gameplay-wise Megalania would be an interesting Dino to play with so much facets to its capabilities though I'm unsure how well it would fit in the roster right now ? It could be a serious contender on par with Allo in terms of weight alone. I'm not denying the possibility that T-Rex mechanics may be shared with Allo. If let's say we assume Allo has a stomp ability ? But to be honest I am completely unsure. At the end of the day, wait and see and I'll add that Herrera and Dilo were added in pair, T-Rex and Eot will be added in pair. I wonder if the secret dino will be added in pair with Diablo ? Dilo and Herrera are both small carnivores, now we have Diablo which is a fairly chonky herbivore, I wonder if something else along it could see the day suddenly.

Until my herrerasaurus can stand on big dinosaurs I don't wan rex. In legacy I'm a rex main. Evrima herrera. Being so small you need a way to put hurt on someone while avoiding the mouth. With run speeds rex would destroy everything even things that would be quick enough to avoid it.
