@@themindfulnarrowboat Yes, I noticed there are pedestrian gates at what I'm guessing are property lines, that are obviously there so people can use the footpaths. I watch Ben and Emily's narrowboat channel too, and they do the same thing to get from their boat to various places. You guys live in such a different world than I do. You take care too. :)

“Shrinkflation” has become a reality of our daily lives. So it was with a little trepidation that I ordered The Nature Journal Of A Narrowboater (2023). Vanessa’s art and poetry, have always been worthy of passing down to the next generation. I was concerned that increases in the costs of her supplies and production would have to be reflected in her books. Again, I was pleasantly surprised when my 2023 book arrived and was of the same high standards as my 2022 edition. This book is an exceptional value for money! I’m glad subscribers are supporting her through purchases, allowing her to continue on with this tradition of excellence. P.S. Excellent packaging, both editions crossed the “Pond” and arrived in pristine condition!

A Swiss Army knife on your keyring is a great little addition! I got an even smaller one on my keyring, but it is amazing how often it comes in handy! Both my wife and her father requested one for a Christmas present last year, and find so many uses for them (box cutting being amongst the main ones!) 😊

Winsford. My birthplace 😊 The Flashes were sometimes called the Cheshire Broads. In years gone by, The Red Lion pub - near the bridge where the boat ‘needing rescuing’ was - was sometimes referred to as the only building in Winsford. This is because originally Winsford consisted of three ancient parishes- Over on the western side of the River Weaver, Wharton on the eastern side, and Swanlow and Dene. The name Winsford is of uncertain origin but is thought to derive from Wain's or Wynne's and ford, that is "Mr Wain's crossing point of the River Weaver", which may have been where the bridge is now.

Great vlog as usual we though about you yesterday whenwe crossed over one of the weavers blue bridges on our way from our holiday in Wales back to Manchester, Really liked the idea of dropping anchor nearly did it on the Witham a few years ago but we had two dogs then so we had to wild moor by the bank, lost the biscuit challenge i went for two ,That slight pause was naughty lol ,Take care and have a good week.😊
