When Obi Wan comments that Padme “sure knows her way around,” he’s commenting that Padme is interestingly familiar with the layout and features of Anakin’s ship. Throughout that show, Obi Wan constantly drops hints that he knows that Anakin and Padme have some sort of relationship. He’s just too sassy to say it outright.

My favorite clone is Dee Bradley Baker, who does the voice for EVERY clone, but is able to imbue each one with their own distinct personality, no matter how much (or how little) time we get to spend with them. A master class in voice acting.

It's funny that Ahsoka went from the Star Wars community absolutely hating her for the most part, to her becoming one of the most celebrated and beloved characters in the franchise.

Most people in the republic, including most senators, think of clones as nothing more than bio-droids, created to simple fight and die, nothing more. Plo Koon is one of the Jedi who is well known for his care about his soldiers. His battalion, the 104th "wolf pack", even writes "Plo's bros" on the side of their gunships, including a picture of him and two clones.

I was confused first time too when Plo said "Their signal is weak, they must be nearby" I think it was meant more like "Their signal is too weak to be transmitted to somewhere far away, so they are close"

One of the small details I really like about the Prequels and Clone Wars is how R2 and 3PO seamlessly switch places with each other. R2 is so deeply connected to flying with Anakin, and 3PO helping Padmé around, you sometimes forget that they initially belonged to the other beforehand. They also fit their personalities so well. Also, if you don’t know, the switch happens at the wedding. The droids are the only thing they have with them, and are therefore each other’s gifts.

"Have you not developed your cough, yet?" Interesting fact - when Grievous appeared in the 2003 Clone Wars series, he didn't have a cough, and was way more intimidating and posed more of a threat. He developed the cough near the end when Mace Windu force crushed his chest. Its final episode led straight into Revenge of the Sith, hence the cough. 2008 Clone Wars kinda forgot about that.

Alex knowing absolutely nothing that's ahead of him makes me so happy. 💜

The 501st, where they have now been inducted, is Anakin and Ahsoka's unit. They play a pivotal role even into the very last season. The most important clones for the rest of the whole clone wars series are: Rex Fives Echo Jessie Cody, who isn't apart of the 501st, but he was the clone that ordered the shot on Obi-wan in the revenge of the Sith.

Alex grasped what truly makes the clone wars so exceptional is the fact that yes they are clones but each one is their own individual as well

Here's an idea, make him watch 2003 clone wars, let him see the true fear Grievous can put in someone. He used to be real intimidating.

A strong signal could travel a bigger distance and would still detected as a strong signal at the maximum reach. It is a strong signal because it could travel that much distance. Conclusion: For a weak signal to reach them, the source of the signal must be close by.

Something you have to consider about Grievous is that he’s only on screen in the show when he’s failing against the main characters. Off screen, he’s conquering entire *solar systems, slaughtering hundreds of thousands of lives, and enslaving entire worlds. He’s a very threatening villain, we just don’t get to see his many many victories.

Favorite clones, its like asking to pick a favorite child, but probably Wolffe Rex Heavy/wrecker And yes! This show makes you feel with the clones in a way the movies could never

Fun fact: Dooku planted a bomb on Grievous's ship that mutilated most of his body. Dooku then blamed the Jedi saying they caused his injuries.

I love how excited Alex gets whenever Goldman is on screen.

Not sure if you caught it, but when Master Plo said "...From a certain point of view", that is actually a callback to the movies, original trilogy when Obi-wan explains why he said Vader killed Luke's father. "So what I told you was true... from a certain point of view". Also, when Grevious sees Kenobi, he says "Hello there", which is also what Kenobi says to him when they fight in Ep.3 I love the little gems like that Favorite Clones: Captain Rex, Hunter, Fives

While most animated shows that go on for several seasons sometimes drop in quality, this show cranks it up massively! 💜

To be fair to the B1 Battle Droids, they are built to resemble the skeletons of their creators, meaning from the perspective of their creators, they're terminators.

The fact the show is animated allows them to be so creative with action set pieces as well as cover darker themes. Amazing show for anyone who is a star wars fan.

Bc of your force complaint, pretty sure it's not easy for Jedi to use the force, like it takes a lot of stamina depending on the action so that would explain why they use it so rarely. Sometimes it's too difficult, sometimes they're too tired and sometimes they may feel like they should save their energy for a bigger fight or something like that. And also the Jedi code says that they mustn't use the force to attack, just for defense and seeking knowledge

They give the clones plenty of chances to show their relationship with the Republic and the Jedi. There is a story line simply focused on that as well as a lot of dialogue in the final season. Most questions are answered in the show. One of the reasons why it’s probably one of the most important and loved series for the franchise. The lore is strong.

There was a Clone Wars cartoon series created by Grendy Tartarofsky (Samurai Jack) before this one - It showed the events from right before the Attack of the Clones live action movie. Greivous kidnaps Palpatine and Mace Windu almost stops him, but he gets away. As he's making his getaway, Mace makes a force choke hand gesture and Grevious' chest is crushed and he starts coughing. THAT's why he coughs from then on.

As a major star wars nerd, im happy to see that Alexs editor got him to start watching the clone wars. i have a feeling hes gonna love this series. with the amount of stories that are contained in this show alone, hell just a single season- ill bet itll keep him interested until the end. Now as the nerd that i am. Fun thing. the 2 of the 3 clones (Thire, Jek and Rys) that accompanied yoda in the 3rd episode in this video, went on to be seen in later movies. -thire became a member of the coruscant guard and was tasked with finding yoda after his battle with palpatine - Jek later became a member of the clone force that aided yoda and the wookies on kashyyyk- he was beheaded by yoda along with commander gree after they were given order 66 the only character in that story that didnt make a reappearance was Rys, who died in the war sometime between this battle and order-66, making him the only clone in the group not to have attacked or gone against Yoda. stuff like this is what can keep people interested. small little sub plots with the clones alone is what got me to binge this show. every episode delves into making a character more fleshed out and interesting. weather it be Anakin, obi wan or any member of the 501st(Anakins clone legion) this show that was made for cartoon network, but made more strides in story telling then most movies and shows do now.

It's amazing to me with everything that comes later in the series that some people still consider this just a "kids" show.

One of the best bits of voice acting in Clone Wars is that like Ben Burtt before him being R2-D2, the supervising Sound Editor for Skywalker Sounds, the big man himself Matthew Wood has been the voice of every Battle Droid since the Phantom Menace, and then they made it ironic by having him also voice General Grievous. This makes sense because as a mostly droid cyborg it is likely that Grievous has the same droid vocaliser as the rest of the army, only modified to be as menacing as possible. The Separatists are cheap mofos. So throughout the entire show it's mostly Dee Bradley Baker talking to Wood in battles, hilarious.

Thats the great skill of the show. That it shows you that every single clone is individual and completly different to simple droids.

Alex, I want to thank you for watching the Clone Wars! As a Gen-Xer who grew up with the original trilogy, I never got into the Clone Wars and have had a hard time watching them. You are making it so enjoyable!! And I appreciated the condensed version! I consider myself a Star Wars fan so thank you!!

55:50 Fav clones 1. Fives. His number is Ct5555 so it's cool his nickname is Fives. He has a great arc in later seasons. You'll see. He has one of the best episodes. 2. Rex. He basically serves under Anakins command so he is like the main clone in the series 3. Probably Jessi because of his cool design and his role in the final season. You haven't met him yet I would choose commandor Wolf who serves under Plo Koon. He is badass looking guy but we sadly don't see much of him in the series

OK in reference to the Rookies episode and how many shots it takes to kill targets a few things to mention. Rex shot the Eel in the eye which I'm pretty sure is fatal in every circumstance lol During the platform scene, Rex and Cody are mostly firing at the droid's mid-section (cause that's usually where soldiers are trained to fire). Later in the episode when they get inside the Outpost, they are doing headshots which is more effective.

The cool thing is that C3-PO is actually played by Anthony Daniels in this. Anthony Daniels is one of the most loyal actors in all of Star Wars.

i think you're doing the best clone wars reactions on youtube because you're covering a lot of episodes in 1 video and it lasts 1 hour. sometimes people take so long to drop the video for each episode for it end in 10 min so i personally just get bored of watching them. this is pure quality and it's such a good "movie night" with you

Man, I am LIVING for these Star Wars Reactions! And, as much as I LOVE the movies, The Clone Wars holds a special place in my heart. Star Wars in general has always been my favorite Franchise, but The Clone Wars is just so damn special. There was a point where I began to loose interest in, well, everything. Even Star Wars. My favorite thing EVER, and things started to just sorta Blur...but then, one day i decided to give this "Cartoon/animation" a shot, and it changed EVERYTHING. I am VERY happy that you highlighted the motif about the Clones and their individuality and indispensibility. The Development of the Clones, how their Character is handled, their relationships with eachother, as well as their interactions with our Usual Star Wars Cast (Anakin, Obi-wan, Ahsoka, Padme, etc) is damn inspiring. I already know that I'm going to love this reaction! 😊 I've been looking forward to some more "Clone Wars". One thing that I love about this show is that you get to see more of the friendship with Anakin and Obi-Wan that we didn't see in the two movies.

In the original 2003 Clone Wars cartoon, Mace Windu actually uses the force to crush Grevious's lungs, which is how he developed the cough and why it isn't always present.

I put this show off for years cause I didn't think I'd like it. I was so wrong. Some of the best Star Wars out there. The prequels were already my favorite, but this made them so much better.

A huge theme of this show as you noticed is the humanizing of clones. Yes both armies are mass produced but clones are flesh and blood with heart and souls. Its the difference that they strive to prove while also doing their best for the Republic. I love Dee Bradley Baker’s ability to voice all the clones and make them unique.
