#coastcontra #realhiphop #bars #reaction BRO THEY ARE FIRE, THE BARS, THE METAPHORS, AND ALL! Original Video: • Coast Contra - Breathe... Instagram: / xannyinternational Twitter: / xannyint
11:45 when Eric drops his bars "Okay I kick up flip shit huh" was a throwback to another freestyle - COAST CONTRA - NEVER FREESTYLE check this out too it's crazy af
PRO TIP: They name their freestyles after the hip-hop classics that they get their beats from. For example, this one is called “Breathe and Stop” after the classic hip-hop song by Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest. 👍🏽
Bro I got the chance to see them live in Boston and they are performers! They bring a different kind of energy when they perform and they are doing hip hop justice with every drop!
They have at least 10 years of material on RU-vid. Also 3.14 equals pi / pie - they all got 1/4 of pie 🥧 Amen / Our Men Eric Jamal Rio Loz - rhymes in Spanish Twins Ras and Taj Austin, kids of rapper Ras Kass and r&b singer Teedra Moses They all can spit. But each song a different one shines. They’re also very spiritual in their rhymes.
If I had to rank their individual strengths, I'd say Eric's punchlines, delivery and story telling is the best. Ras has the best flows by far, and his punchlines hit crazy too. Rio's flow is nuts. As someone that doesn't speak Spanish, I still find myself bumping along without even understanding what he's saying, and his voice is sick as fuck. And Taj's flow/cadence is insane, and his verses always have a lot of meaning packed into them, unlike some other rappers that say a whole bunch of nothing. Overall, in my opinion they're the greatest group to ever do it. Bumping shoulders with Wu Tang and Tribe. I recommend their "Scenario", "Never" and "Give Up The Goods" freestyles, (Scenario is my favourite, and Ras' verse on that track is my favourite verse that they've ever put out). Loved your reaction bro! Look forward to seeing the next one :)
I feel like there is no better way for them to spread their positivity and message than through rap. Anybody can say the same message they say and you can hear the lines but it might go one ear and out the other. The way they do it through their raps makes it to where you literally can’t get it out of your head. So you just sit there and have this song of a great message stuck in your head. And it allows you to dissect the message more and more the more you hear it. And anytime I’m having a bad day, a random Eric Jamal bar will pop into my head and it will make my day a little better. It’s just great what they are doing with hip hop.
The best thing since Tupac's "Hit Em Up" i didnt listen rap again, untill now. I love Coast Contra just like how i love Tupac. They the best thing that ever happened to Rap. They picked up from where Pac left off: Teaching people and fighting for the right cause. ❤❤❤
Best in the group? Good luck figuring that one out. 😆For me Eric Jamal and Ras Austin (1st and second here) are mind-blowing but the whole group is 🔥 in their own way with a ton of versatility. Been amazed by every one of them. I think my favorite of theirs at this point is still the Come Up Show freestyle. Whatever is is, you're in it now! No going back after hearing this. Get into it, you won't regret it.
Hi Man. Welcome to Coast Contra legion. They´re are what we are looking for. I´m from Uruguay in South America.I´m 36 and love old school rap. Listen to Canserbero in spanish he´s the best. Respects and just listen to Coast Contra all their freestyles are insane.
Love seeing reaction people hear Coast Contra for the first time, they are the future! be sure to check the Cosmic Kev CC show as well! Liked and subscribed
They all super nice in there own way and have there own unique style, they don’t fry and compete whatsoever they push eachother and are eachothers biggest fans!! They are different
Welcome to the world of Coast Contra!! Fantastic reaction and just catching everything! Go back on your own time and then catch a little more, then again, and again, it just gets better!!!!!!
Ras Austin and Taj Austin and the twin sons of HipHop legend Rass Kass, Eric Jamal from Philly with his hair as a crown, and Rio Loz the dude from Columbia, The Golden Child
Eric Jamal,Raz,Rio,Taj are their names. The hair is called crown Locs, they tend to comment on their reviewers videos…fyi Wait til you listen to their album and rest of they vids.
So this is the first one of COAST you have ever seen?? You have the Give up the Goods Freestyle on the TV in the background - I mean everyone's Jersey is Cunningham.
Eric is Eric the 💣 RAS is so good creative changing the game in general. Ridiculously great TAJ rides the beat so perfectly it gives me chills…and says some real ass shit. RIO…has the best, most positive, started from the bottom now where here shit. And has the best voice. How in the fuck could I only pick one? I better not ever have just one. They are a group period.
Ras is probably the best but the majority think it's Eric Jamal (hair). They're all crazy though and anyone can shine the most depending on the song but i think Ras is just different lyrically and flow-wise
Forget Em & Mils... and just listen to everything COAST. straightenin, rare, scenerio, Cosmic Kev, Never Freestyle, Give up the Goods... and so so so many more
Check out the “Rare Freestyle” Rio Los (The Columbian) isn’t on that one but it would’ve been overkill. I’ll give to goosebumps. Also, a quick note, they didn’t go off the dome. Their freestyles are written, but what people don’t understand is that Freestyle just means there’s no specific subject off the dome and written can still be freestyles. Hope that helps.
You might wanna look at Coast Contra's interviews for more insight into their back story. Addressing them a "jungle gym" hair, R A S (his name is Ras Austin) big boy and green pants is kinda derogatory. "Big boy" is an Afro-Columbian by the name of Rio Loz and the last one is Taj Austin. Yes, they's twins if you didn't notice. 😉 Uproxx Video channel with Talib Kweli has a really good interview.
To answer your question about best in the group; They are all unique in their delivery. The twins, Ras and Taj are similar but super powerful in their flow and delivery. This is probably Raas's best to date, he's the second to go. Rio Lopez is completely unique using spanish and english but he comes hard and is more gritty. Eric Jamal is the first and most unique in my opinion. In Ras's verse he shouts out Eric Jamal in reference to Never Freestyle which is their first video that blew up. Eric's delivery in that is incredible. But taken as a whole, they are by far the best group in terms of delivery and talent that has walked the world of rap period.
wrong question. it's not about who is the best. what they have brought to the table is a conversation. about what black culture is all about. i aint black but im really understanding things through their lens. No one wins in a conversation, because when there is one, everybody wins.
