My name is Eric and I travel with my cats, “Tara” & “Opie” in a 2012 Class A Coachmen Mirada named “Miranda” and tow a 2014 Smart Car named “Tater Tot”. We travel about 35 miles a day chasing 70 degrees year-round since 2010.

🤣🤣🤣when you honked the bike horn my dog jump out of her skin. She’s still looking around to see what the heck? Too funny. Now if the E-bike had training wheels and a button to push to make it go I’d ask my son to get me one. I’m going on 85. Not in great health but it sure looks like fun. Used to love riding.

I am a long time bicycle rider ; Road, Touring, Mt. bikes and true, the right is the back and the Left is the froe. THEN I got a motor bike and DUMPED it first time out because the RIGHT was the front... need I say more... WE Here in the states are backwards by mixing what is front or back breaks.

Eric: Just like on your motorcycle, the right-hand brake lever is for the front brake. On this bike the rear brake lever replaces the clutch. Easy to remember that way.

When I buy a bicycle I have them switch the brakes so if I ever ride a motorcycle again I will be correct.

It’s not legal in the us to have bicycles sold with the rear brake on the left. And as a matter of fact a woman in CA is suing both Costco and Phantom bikes for $6 million for being sold an ebike with the brakes setup this way. She got hurt thinking she was applying the rear brake and it was the front. Now I don’t know how she’d unbox an ebike, build it, adjust the brakes and not notice they were reversed is beyond me. She at the very least should have tested the brakes before riding and that would have tipped her off. Easy to switch anyway. Just pull the barrel out of the levers and swap. Retighten slack. If there’s not enough slack to switch you can easily replace with a new cable for dirt cheap. This is something that will have to eventually be replaced anyway. 10 packs are about $8 on Amazon!

Reversing the front brake levers is so that you can use your left hand for signaling when you are riding with traffic on streets.

Hello Eric, the Fiido T1 Cargo doesn't actually have three pedal assist levels, it has three speed levels and the amount of assist is the same in each. That amount of assist is like a level 3-4 on some other ebikes. The three speed levels are (1) 12mph, (2) 18-20mph and (3) 31mph. For slower speeds I use the throttle. I really like my T1 Cargo and think you were really kind to the Mobil Traveler!
