I have made so many thousands of books over years.. and never had so much issue uploading books to KDP as i did for one recent Coloring book. The recent KW changes has the KDP bots really jumping on any duplicate words, even common repeat words.. Like Coloring Books and Activity Books in the Title and Sub Title.. and then using the word book or books in your back end.. it has become a bit frustrating and I do THINK that they are also trying to get people to literally GIVE UP.. who are here to make money and not here because they LOVE what they are doing. same thing happened to me. i updated keywords of my live book and it got blocked. after that amazon kdp is blocking my each new uploading book just within 1-2 hr of uploading.

This is very helpful. I just got my first book (that has been up for a month) BLOCKED, but the email doesn't say WHY this 350 page book is blocked. They really should say exactly what it is rather than referring back to the guidelines. Now, I have to wait for a response and hope they tell me exactly what it is. How incredibly frustrating!
This video is so "on-point" that I can't even express it. I hope it goes viral within the writing community because the blogs are encouraging writers to use AI to write whole entire books, with no editing, nothing and KDP has already fixed its algorithm to check and find these things on impact. It is a great tool for research but is causing complacency within the author's creativity! It imposes these stringent rules on everyone.
My books are also getting blocked. They don't clarify anything. They replied with, "After further review, we’ve decided to uphold our previous decision and will not be publishing your title(s) at this time because the content might result in a disappointing customer experience." I talked with them and they failed to identify the problem. But when they forward my issues with review team, they reply with the same thing over and over again.
I'm sorry to hear that, Amazon can be very frustrating to deal with. Have you tried contacting them over chat? I find that is the best way to get a sensible reply. I hope you can get this resolved soon.
@@TheHomeBoss I contacted them over chat, they couldn't find any issues with my books nor the review team. The review team told me that they will not be publishing my title(s) at this time.
Facing same issue with many of my books and it seems like the bot are sending the same copy paste emails again and again instead of mentioning or clarifying the issue with the book. I got email for removing spine text from my book cover and when I try to upload updated cover It shows that book is blocked, Then why the f..k send email to edit cover image?? amazon is literally in hands of bots now.
That happend to me. After a month I wanted to change a books price, but I didn't eventually, because in the same time I've change my mind. So I did Not make any edit. After minutes, my book was blocked😢... And the answer was as always.. [.... disappointing customer experience]

For fiction and romance which we all need for sure, I recommend Romantic Summer Mystery, by Octavia Blake. Easy read and full of romance mystery and surprises. Great book.
Mam does Amazon kdp block book due to use of VPN(location changer).I am asking this because my 5 books are blocked one after the other as soon as I uploaded to publish (while under review). Although I made them almost perfect according to all aspects (i.e plagiarism,AI content, grammar, spelling, formatting,...)
Yes you can! You just need to declare it in KDP when you upload, but it's absolutely fine. Make sure you edit the images if the AI has produced anything that doesn't look right.
i published a planner with the tittle '2025-2026 monthly planner' with out any subtittle and with out 7 back keywords and it was blocked hhh i will not lost my time in this platform any more
@@mohammedtoufik3373The title is way too generic. You only have the years and the words, "monthly planner". Those would be key words, so you could not use them in a title because they are the ONLY WORDS.
What to do when you want to revise your book that have been published by a publisher that is no longer in operation, but it is still on the shelf. If the book is sold, I do not get any royalties!
This is true ma,am, i watch some channels that are advising new publishers to copy books from a free site and paraphrase them and upload on Amazon. It was really a big issue

The way people making video on youtube about kdp publishing is just "create account, use canva or ai , upload it & make money!!!" I find myself helpless after creating an account. Here is lots of pros and cons. I'm confused what to do. I've to find a way to get rid of all those problems. I wish i will manage .

I chatted them up concerning the blocking of my workbook, but they asked me to direct my reply to the review team, saying that they can't help me. Within the past one week , I have sent my reply to them twice, without any reply. Please, what do I do next?
@@michaelimoleme3071 I would persist in contacting them. Otherwise, another option is to ask in a facebook group and see what people suggest the problem could be. Make sure you have followed all the rules about titles and keywords.
well this is discuraging... 2 manuscripts completely made, one book 51 thousand words the other 130 thousand words. Hand made, hand written, and realizing formatting is 10x harder than writing the book. Maybe I should just sell on my own lol
look i know my name and youtube videos about ai, but just look at the avatar I'm using... its a manual animation from adobe character animator, my art and my words manual but shit man this scared me.
They cant beat it without affecting people who put in time and talent they should just stop!!!! I have decided to diversify, i would open a shopify store, and print and ship some of my books so all of them wont be on kdp.
The issue is, even if u follow all this, if an account has a book blocked before, it'll be difficult for another book that has not gone against this to go live on that account

Sometimes making changes puts your book into review and they might have found something that they didn't notice the first time. Find out why they blocked it, the reason may not be the price change.
One of my fantasy romance titles was blocked because of a single slur, a slur in a fake language that has no real-world connection and wasn't all that severe... Guess I should switch to vampire/warewolf smut; those seem to skate by their arbitrary rules all the time. S'whatever. My first mistake was not using a female pen name for my romance work. Don't feel bad. My books have been blocked to 5 adult coloring books. I think I know why the title and I put my email address inside. I think that's a no-no But the good thing is your account is not terminated.If you get terminated, it's over.
I published my first book and was approved, same with second then my 3,4 and 5th books were blocked with no reason. I went to adjust price of my second book and boom they blocked it. Am frustrated right now 😢😢 felt bad that after writing work for many days it'll be blocked 😢
This is happening to me. I took a break from publishing and when I came back it now automatically blocks anything I try to publish. The latest was a kids coloring book. I’m diligent in creating content and meta data that meets guidelines. I’m not getting any response from KDP are: what is prompting these blocks.
Please, Home boss, mine is the termination of account for what I did not do. It has happened since August 6th, 2024, and I emailed them about it - that I did not do what they said I did, which led to the termination. They said sorry and needed more time to review the account. And since that time til now, nothing has been done to reinstate the account. And if I email them, they'll still tell me the same thing - they need more time to review the account. Please, what should I do?
Good day, my name is macdonald.... well, I'll say that am kind of new in amazon, I started publishing in around may/June this year and my 1st book went live, but others were blocked. And it's kind of frustrating I must say, but am willing to follow all instru tions to make sure that the next book I publish goes live. I truly enjoy your advice, it was smooth, calm and gentle. @@Fiction-Frenzy Yes, you'll get a mail that says 'warning' and tells you what you did wrong. It only doesn't really tell you how to fix it. They give you 5 days to fix the book.
I completely disagree with you, but that's fine. I'm only advising people on what not to do because I know it will affect their KDP account. People are free to make their own choice.
I don't think there is a specific number, it depends on the reason for blocking. If somebody is getting a lot of books blocked, then Amazon will think they don't know what they are doing and terminate their account to avoid further problems. My advise to anybody who has had even one book blocked is to stop publishing until they have learned how to publish a book that is within Amazon's guidelines. Don't publish a book if you're not sure what to do. There is a lot of learning to be done before publishing, so many people just take short cuts and publish without studying first.

There could be many reasons and without knowing more about your books I can't advise. Have you checked everything mentioned in the video? If you are still unsure about the reason, try and talk to Amazon on their chat feature. With emails it's difficult to get a real person to advise, but if you choose their chat help, you get to speak to a real person and you get a better service. Using AI is not a reason for a block, so there must be something else wrong. Good luck!
Yup, I can relate - I had a similar experience... It's because of the free credits. First, your images are public and anybody can download and use them. Second, you don't have Leonardo's permission to use the free credit images for commercial purposes. How they know that they are free credits images? Well, the KDP bots crawl the web and if they come across an image freely available - they block the book.
