Liked your review and comment about how the wind takes pressure off the arms so riders can enjoy the slightly forward ride position.

Fun review...like the style of your vid. Love my Speed Twin, too. Thanks for the content....enjoy the new bike! FWIW you may like the Arton Works dial faces. Like many others I found the factory ones a little busy for my taste. Easy and pretty inexpensive mod to improve those dials a bit.

Thank you for making this video! I own a Street Twin 900 with a large singe speedometer. Tho the Speed Twin dubble clocks look more premium, they are indeed hard to read. My original rear shocks look slightly different but are also of poor quality. I am 83kg and have set them on max pre-load. Also considering new resevoir style shocks from YSS, that should improve the riding experience for just €300. I love all versions of the Bonneville chassis Triumph build for the last 10 years, the Street Twin 1200 is my favorite.

The thing I love most about mine is using the torque to power out of the corners, the bike has a sensible amount of power for normal road use.
@aussiewantok

100% agree, the power is definitely enough and the size of the bike is just right, not to mention the brakes and handling. I am thinking of upgrading the rear suspension though...

Lovely bike. Watch out for those small rocks that make the "bicycle spoke" pinging sound - they can also bounce up of the front of the engine and get caught in the back of the radiator, where they lodge and work their way in.

I had the exact same GSX1100 when I lived in Aus. Fantastic bike. Regret selling it. Anyway, I just rode my speed twin 1200 from Hamilton Ontario to Nova Scotia on the east coats of Canada. Got in yesterday. A nice 1600 km ride and the speed twin never missed a beat. Its light, so you get pushed around by wind a fair bit, but I made it. Loved the ride. Also have a 2017 Moto Guzzi Griso which my buddy rode with me (we were bringing my bikes to my new home) and we swapped back and forth over the 4 day trip. Great fun. And both bikes are awesome. Very different, but fun.

Yeah I'm back in Canada so cooling isn't really an issue, as you can imagine. Only get a few weeks of real heat here. But surprisingly enough I feel the heat on my legs more on the triumph than I do on the guzzi. Guzzi is actually quite cool.

Well that was different! I’m thinking of buying a Speed Twin so I’ve watched loads of reviews and most of them are very boring, then I stumbled across yours, thank you. I’d also like to say thanks for daring to say something about those totally impractical dials when most other reviewers are drooling over them. They are the one thing that might make me buy a different bike. So dude, keep on reviewing.

Im 61 and thinking of selling my yamaha xjr1300 for the speed twin but next year ( need to save) - reasons has the beautiful retro naked look + the power but much lighter + relaxed riding position + great suite of safety features - Brembo brakes + rider modes ( my Yamaha has no ABS ) - as i have ridden mostly non-ABS bikes and survived after many years of riding - does it truly make you feel safer?

I have a 2020 Speed Twin and it has two personalities. It's light and deceivingly docile below 3,500 rpm, but a hard twist of the throttle and you're supersonic in a heartbeat. Walk softly and carry a big stick. I ride mostly on the freeways in California and it's a bit buzzy at those speeds, would be a dream if the engine were rubber mounted.
