Fr my first time watching this anime so many feelings from okay to funny to happy to sad to depressed to emotionally scarred like damn reminds me of myself I wouldn’t mind watching it again for good times but not particularly something I look forward to knowing it’s all in vain
Just finished this anime and my god what a rollercoaster of emotions that was. This anime has been staying in my plan to watch list for a very long time and I gave it a shot after hearing the opening. The ending was absolutely what I wanted too.
God honestly!! The only anime to fuck me up this bad. The plot is far too relatable and it really helped me move on and process trauma but was also so devastating.
I watched the show back in high school in 2015 and I lost my daughter in December 2023 and I watched it the other day and it hits the differently. I really hope that she is living the rest of my life up there in another universe that she didn’t get to fully enjoy here on her, she was only one years old live royalty
Exactly. This anime fooled me with it's vibrant colors. I literally found this gem under the COMEDY genre because I wanted to laugh and I got depressed instead after watching it in one day
Dude same I watched it today in almost 1 sitting start to finish and now I am crushed, I crave for more but don't wanna watch any sad anime anymore (I planned don watching clannad next 😭) it's one of those non-generic irreplaceable anime
This angel beats was listed as comedy on google, never could've been more wrong, this was funny in the beginning but became bittersweet real fast, but it was so sad to watch.
Spoilers but sadly Yui's past when she was alive is scarily almost exact to my life outside of the internet. The disabilities differ but I'm in a wheelchair, being taken care of by family. When she spoke about how her mother would have to even help her with bathing, I cried because it felt like someone was telling my story almost. This isn't a cry for help but when I'm alone in my room and not working on comics or playing games, I often wonder if I'll be able to move around in purgatory like she did.

I was just thinking about Angel Beats! I loved the music and the story is just so uplifting. Its one of my top 10 animes of all time! I watched it several times but nowadays I know I would cry way harder. I love all the comments who became organ donors because so am I!❤❤❤❤
Your right because of the colorful character and highschool setting i often forgot at certain points in the show that depite them all being kids in highschools they are all dead and them going through highschool in the afterlife is their test to see if they've earn the right to be reincarnated back into life
My interpretation was it was giving them the chance to just live their life, not a test or whose worthy. Just letting these kids who never had a chance to explore an adverage childhood/teenage life have that chance, and finda sense peace and fulfillment they never had experianced before
This was back in 2010 I think, this Anime was the first thing that I considered as a masterpiece, 2010 - 2013 was the memories full of me watching all anime not caring about their genre and rating, watched this and then straight to plastic memories and then your lie in april was the best experience!
I have watched Plastic Memories and Angel beats but I didn't find plastic Memories as sad as Angel Beats because you can tell that it's supposed to be a sad anime early on which makes the ending lackluster and predictable in my opinion. Angel beats was more powerful in my opinion due to the fact that it didn't advertise how sad it was going to be early on. Out of those 3 shows, which was your favourite?

Not really forgotten, we all remember. Its just newborn that didn't watched it keep released to world 😅 Angel Beats is one of anime that truly stand out compared other anime after all 👍.
Angel Beats is such a wonderfully crafted blend of so many things… it has comedy, drama, music, psychological depth, love, guns, childhood nostalgia, etc… It’s such a shame that it was supposed to have 24 episodes & got cut in half 😢 Anything with Jun Maeda gets high praise from me ❤

My only complaint is that he keeps trying to jam too much at the very end. The shadows in Angel Beats and the world tour in Charlotte (haven’t seen Clannad yet) just felt sudden and rushed, and it really takes away from the overall show…
@@SkateTroe actually Angelbeats was supposed to be a 24 episode anime but due to some reason it had to be cutted down to 12 ep one. So it's kinda clear that some parts might look rushed. It was still a shock that the anime, despite being cutted to half, was able to keep track of the story with equivalent wholesome moments as the emotional ones. As for Clannad i highly recommend you to watch it. It's the masterpiece Jun Maeda created. While the first season is typically a normal slice of life, the second season will take u in depths.
I originally watched this in 2020 and I rewatched it a few days ago. I forgot how utterly depressing it was but I'm glad I rewatched it. What makes angel beats have the impact it does at the end is the fact that it doesn't showcase how sad it is at the start and only shows in the last 3 episodes.
I love thise anime but i need a continuation the end it had it made me really mad that they just left it like that I know it was intentional to make us feel in the ending with what we wanted to happen but I still feel like they should have given us a little bit more
I really want to see it again, but knowing the story a bit i feel that i won't enjoy it that much, i won't shed those tears i had the first time, but who knows, its been a lot of time, maybe i won't remember while i see it
Its kinda like Senran Kagura in that regard. Where it's a series on the surface about fan service ninja girls beating up hoards upon hoards of evil ninja and then getting naked for like 5 seconds for a Sailor Moon transformation but then when you start looking at the lore and backstories for these characters, things get dark real quick.
I can’t even finish this vid… there are other anime out there that artistically have the potentially to make an individual feel as much as Angel beats does, you just have to look for them and not be a hardcore follower of mainstream anime media
It's not sad at all if you think about. But most people don't think about it. Another difference from conventional anime is it's an original, not adapted from any manga or novel.
But do yall remember the ending?? I so want a season 2. Maybe they would meet again after reincarnation or smth. But its been so long that a S2 seems improbable

@@superiorml9116 Nah it wasn't remember the first episode we saw him wearing a gakuran seifuku this could mean 2 things A) he was an NPC(which is highly unlikely) B) he's new to the world In conclusion, it was Kanade who came in first, since they've been fighting her since urippi's arrival Also the after story pretty much shows what otanashi did after Kanade left(which by the way is totally said I almost cried)
man the characters were annoying and didn't have anything except backstories the story was not good the plot was not interesting it was like Haibane renmie if you took everything about it away from it
