Henry you are awesome, keep on fighting for holiday accomadation, one of the worstthings Barry town council did was allow Butlins to close. Danter for Barry council boss.
Great update mate, such a shame Henry is up against such opposition regarding the holiday park. Of course a park where Butlins was would be the best thing of all. My home seaside town has practically no-where to stay. Premier Inn even pulled out of building after the pandemic, yet it is a beautiful town as you know and used to be full of hotels. Barry Island looks great again now, just lacking the holiday camp which brought in so much money, employment and visitors, its crazy. Kids grow up so fast, I miss the younger years too. Thanks again mate. Blows my mind, insane mate😁
Hi mr D I feel sorry for Henry trying to improve wales especially Barry Island for the locals and tourists and ppl kick him down by telling lies about him and not wanting the log cabin holiday park, I seem to remember no-one said anything about Billy Butlin building one of his camps on Barry island but complained when it was shut down with nothing to replace it, I am English I lived in wales 14yrs and moved back to England under the house exchange scheme that was around in the 90s as I swapped houses with my late father as he wanted to move back to wales and he was also English but preferred Wales, I would rather live in Wales than England and if there were somewhere like log cabins that were dog friendly on Barry Island i would certainly take summer hols there without a shadow of doubt
Henry is trying his best for his customers/visitors to stay local for a week or 2 in comfort. I support everything he does and so should everyone. Does anyone else agree with what Henry is doing?
The council cut the numbers of cars the organisers allowed to park on the promenade so the organiser said only pre 2000 cars allowed as I was going to display my car
Sounds like a great idea , log cabins , we come to Barry every year , would love to see other places to stay other than the premier inn , don’t get me wrong premier inn is fantastic, would love to stay in a cabin though 🥰
Hey Steve I'm visiting the island on Friday staying for the weekend hopefully see you there, hopefully in the fair ground be nice to have a ride buddy . Yes Henry and the team has done a amazing job as always I too support what he's trying to do with the ground I wish him the best and full support what a legend of a man. I totaly agree with what Henry is saying and what he is trying to do ! Im from up North in Manchester so never got to Barry Island in its hey day ( we allways went to North Wales , Rhyl, Prestayn, Colwin bay, abergele and towyn as a kid in the 70 / early 80s as it was obv nearer for us ..we NEVER went abroad allways a british holiday right up to the 90s as we couldnt afford it!) ...BUT Barry Island i allways wanted to go to as a kid ( my nextdoor neighbour went for a week holiday) ......sadly like all tha bove NOrth wales seaside towns Bary has suffered the same fate , declining visitors only day trippers now etc ....Sadly with Barry Island i think when BUtlins closed thier camp there and steamlined their buissnes modle closing a load of camps that did not help and Barry island did not have the influx of holiday makers it once had and so the decline started ......I have now lived down in Bristol for the past 18 yrs and still haven been to Barry ...so I DO HOPE Harry gets his log cabins off the ground as Barry Island can still be revived as a tourist attraction , as there is no sort of caravan park / holiday camp there now apart from hotels or guest houses the nearest caravan park being Porthkerry lesiure park near cardiff airport!
Be great to see the new Dodgems been too long coming. Not sure what’s taking them so long but they only ever seem to show the new Sizzlers there building. Hopefully there secretly working on the Dodgems 🤞always nice to hear from Henry. Another great vlog 🙂❤️
Took the name "Runaway train" to a whole new level. it's completely run off now! Lovley to see Henry on the channel again mate! I personally don't like the Outward facing Freakout style rides which is what the beast will be but it will be a very popular addition.!
I can see why henry is selling the train as i never and i think you never saw anyone the ride its sad but not the biggest loss!! i think the new rides will be better

Hi Hi, IO love your videos and have been following your channel for a number of year. Would love to meet yourself and Henry for whom I have the greatest respect. I was in the funfair entertainment business myself for 25 years. Still thinking about coming back into it as it was the best years of my life. Travelling and meeting new people was great. Would love to come and visit Barry Island but with no accommodation on the island as yet, it would be hard. I really hope Henry can get his plans sorted with the council to make this a reality.
Shame Henry seems to be fighting a losing battle with the council, they are so shallow and hypocritical. I hope he has some luck eventually but they are a hard rock to crack. Wonder if they will ever get the toilet block sorted. If not, they may as well pull it down. BTW much more enjoying the new camera now that the settings seem more stable. Didn't like to point it out before as think you do a fantastic job promoting the island.
I don't know why the council are always so unhelpful? we desperately need more accommodation for the island to thrive as it once did. I appreciate your honesty with the camera setup, glad it's looking good again. 🤗
henry is looking to make Barry and wales better with his own hard owned money for god sake i hope they let him go on with any and all off his plans hes a top bloke
