If you are not selling the model, and you will keep it forever, why would care about the current price?
@CarsWithHNK

BBR pride themselves on exclusivity and making rare models in unique specs it’s disappointing that they are making identical models just in Diecast even though I’m not selling my models it’s nice to know that it’s worth more than what I paid and also it’s a rare piece that you don’t see on eBay - if BBR are going to just keep making the same models in Diecast I will think twice about spending anymore model with them will switch to MR models

@@CarsWithHNK I still don't get the problem, the models are not edentical, completely different, even if they represent the same spec, one is sealed and other is with openings and full engine details, and made from different material. Again not identical. The older model will still be limeted to what that plaque on that base is saying. Plus, I have heard BBR diecast is not produced by BBR themselves, but Kyosho ar some other. So that resin will still last longer, because it won't suffer from paint.

I enjoy having the car. So if they making more of it means that idiots on ebay wouldn't be able to get $2000 for each 'rare' model, I am all for it. I would be happy to see them releasing Huayra diecast as well.

I fully support your standpoint but bear in mind that you used to buy a BBR not just as a model car but explicitly also as an investment. Like some people collect rare watches. I‘m just pissed that they don‘t communicate right from start that they won‘t limit it or increase the number. Instead you got plaques with one of 20 or so only to find out that if you add up the re-released models or different spec releases you‘ll rather end up at 200-500. I suspect BBR did that with full knowledge to get collectors pay more for a supposedly rare car. That‘s ehat is pissing me off.

I agree it’s good for collectors that missed the opportunity 5/6 years ago to get their hands on a desirable model but for the collectors that already have them it’s a bit disappointing as BBR pride themselves on making exclusive and rare models and if they start re releasing their old models they lose their USP I agree with @dominikn.5940 analogy on watches don’t get me wrong I not for collectors being greedy and charging fortunes for models 👍
@CarsWithHNK

Totally agree once BBR loses it’s exclusively and making rare unique models then they have lost their USP and I will switch to MR models 👍

Ask yourself, how many times you ever open a model and look at it… I don’t see myself doing that even 2-3 times a year. Yes it feels good that the models have openings, but resin models are more accurate and no paint issues; so from the point of view I’d just displaying them, resin models still look good. I own both BBR diecast models and resin, I can tell the difference in terms of paint works and carbon fiber print… they look a lot prettier on resin models

Agree the exterior on a resin model is better than on a diecast the finish is amazing where as on the diecast the exterior is not quite as sharp but obviously you can open it up please subscribe for more videos to come thanks

i like to see the models with open doors and open compartiments... each week i change the setup to closed... i like that way... so i will always go for open diecast models...i get bored really fast with resin closed

havent you ever noticed how boring and superficial the door lines are in resin closed models??? it really removes the realism despite all the good details

In comparing resin vs die cast, I am curious why the resin model from BBR is more expensive than their die cast? Do you know why?

No not too sure I was expecting the diecast version to be more expensive than the resin but I think they are similar in price please subscribe for more videos to come soon thanks 👍

I’m thinking about buying another bbr dicast model 1:18 scale la Ferrari aperta in white. I don’t know if it’s rare or not

Hi it’s quite rare but I think they are re releasing it in Diecast but depends which model you want to have in your collection

BBR has always been a bit dodgy in terms of limited editions. They re-issue Resin models IN RESIN as well as going from Resin to Diecast. If they think they can sell hundreds of resin models, they'll do it, whatever the first "Limited Edition" production run might be. Good example - the 1 18 resin Blue Steve McQueen 275 GTB4 NART Spider. They've reissued this at least twice now !

Hi yeah it’s frustrating from our standpoint as when you buy a model in that particular spec and it’s limited to 50 pieces they shouldn’t replicate it again but just in Diecast form it’s misleading and I share your frustration on this it’s just made me more selective on the models and ultimately I think will put me off BBR for the long run! Glad of all the comments from this video really interested to hear what other collectors think on this 👍

Hello, as a collector for the last ~15 years I like that the bbr go diecast and I explain why: 1) with the name that they have I expect nothing less than perfect and from what I see until now (3 Tdf 3 laferrari 3 fxx Evo is very very good models little pricey but it’s perfect. ( from my experience I have Autoart signature almost all the good models from the signature line and i see that the model from bbr is at the same lvl and from what I see until now higher in the carbon detail. (More realistic) 2) if you think that the same resin model make at least at 10-15-20 deferent colours it’s not that exclusive… the only think that it changes is the colour and the numbers on the plate. 3) I speak for me. I collect only opening models I see some resin yes they are good in the eye but nothing functional for me doesn’t worth the 300-400 euro. I explain why, check the Chanel (penrys model if I remember correct the name) and when he open the resin from mr or bbr I don’t remember and I see nothing inside just a base and a body I thought for that 300++ it’s a steal.

Hi true thank you for commenting maybe I need to buy a new BBR Diecast model to see I know they are quite expensive and I think for the diecast La Ferrari Aperta is close to €420 which is more than I paid for the resin model I do like BBR a lot and have many of there models but I’m not sure about them re-releasing models I agree making the same resin models in different colours isn’t really exclusive either will be doing more videos on BBR please subscribe for more videos to come soon thanks 👍

It’s not re-releasing cause the are deferent model diecast vs resin, opening-closed, you can find it cheaper below 420 if you search in other sites, when I buy my tdf the prices was below 300 now that everything skyrocketed…. It’s normal the ~400 not so normal l, as a collector try to buy lcd pagani zonda hp believe me when you open the engine bay you will be 😮. By the Autoart the last couple years gone crazy… wtf is that prices… they said it will gone from diecast to plastic cause the models was expensive to make and now here comes lcd with the old good prices from Autoart and the detail from their model is amazing….. sorry that I go out of the topic 😁

My take on exclusivity is if you can over it than it will help you to continue to buy diecast models from bbr because I think bbr will throw exclusivity to the side if they figureout that they can make yet more money from highly desirable models that they made in the past but it will for you or me as collectors affect the value of those models but maybe not in the long run autoart has done a good job in this area when it comes to models like the pagani zonda and the mclaren f1 they never went back to making those models or any type of signature models for that matter and as a result price have skyrocket on some of their signature models and resale values remain strong unless lcd can come up with a better more quality and more realistic mclaren f1 but that is yet to be seen
@CarsWithHNK
@CarsWithHNK Год назад
Yes exactly good comparison between AUTOart I just don’t like how they re-release identical models in Diecast collectors with the resin models will feel let down as the whole point of buying a unique spec BBR model is exclusivity and if they are just going to be make the same models again I’m going to be thinking twice about spending more money with them and these Diecast models aren’t cheap the La Ferrari Aperta is €420 is ridiculously expensive I wonder how many they are going to make I can see it being quite a few

@@CarsWithHNK I heard a while back that collectors of the 1 to 1 versions of these model cars the real ones complain about ferrari making to many of the real cars and therefore they as collectors of supposedly exclusive cars not seeing the point in paying millions of dollars for exclusivity in these super cars if they're going to make to many dont know if that is still the case but it's what I heard of ferrari doing so I guess there doing the same with the real cars
