Yes Sir. Agreed that Silver is not highly reactive. However it does react with substances like Oxygen and sulphides and that is what we have tried to convey through the video.
Hi Rajat, thanks for going through the video in detail. Just to clarify, we are not saying anywhere that Silver is more reactive than Copper. Let me explain. Silver is more CONDUCTIVE than Copper (see slide at 1.12 seconds). Silver is less REACTIVE than Copper. The question is that “Why are Sliver wires not used even though it is most conductive”? The primary reason is that Silver is much more expensive than Copper. Also, while Copper is more reactive and will oxidize faster, it is not a big constraint as, in being exposed to oxygen in air, it forms copper oxide which does not disintegrate over time.
