This whole concept is flawed, I am making massive fuel savings with my home 'charger' Vs my old Diesel car. I'd happily pay premium for a good EVSE installation because it would pay for itself in no time, so why the penny pinching? As you say the car cost 50k so hardly a big deal. My issue was finding a decent spark who wouldn't bang it on henleys and actually do a respectable job. Even the more reputable sparks on RU-vid seem to have given in to the easy life with EV installs, so there's nobody setting a good example out there. Hopefully this rant will make a few think, good on you, you maniac 😂
