About its eyes, there orange, which is one of the 3 colors The Orb Of Dominance makes. Pale Garden also has no music, along with its clashy nature compared to the lush and green overworld. The word Evoker, literally relates to being a deity or enlightener. Which of course the Illagers thought themselves as gods because they had the power of life and death (Totems Of Undying, literal demented souls in the Vex, Frankenstein entities like Ravagers and whatever the heck those fangs are). Also I think that the Evokers actually went to a part of The Dark Oak Forest and used a similar way they convert Allays into Vexes with Dark Oak Trees to Pale Oak Trees rather than them becoming dried out. How can a tree become dead and then sprout with fertilizer?
My theory is that it's an adaptation thing, the illagers are like the Vikings and the Vikings were from cold countries so... Illagers were from even colder countries with even colder conditions that caused their skin to turn grey over time in the adaptation process! Like black people, for example, they originated from Africa which is a very hot continent, over time, their skin turned darker and darker to adapt to the heat! That is why when you spend the majority of your time in the sunshine, you begin to tan, it's just your body trying to adapt! I'm trying to be a nerd ik!
