Be warned the Malaysian government is only interested in Chinese money and not the Chinese people. All the Malaysian affirmative action policies tend to discriminate against Chinese and Indian people groups. Many Malaysian Chinese are forced to study and live away from Malaysia because of this. I do love Malaysia and spend one or two months each year in Penang ( my happy place ). Malaysia should be as successful as Singapore, but it is not because of the anti-Chinese political bias. Look at it this way, we are short on investments and tech expertise. China has both to offer....we've major investments from the west to establish data centres and semiconductors here and need skilled tech workers where we're short of expertise. Handled correctly we can attract the right talents and manage tech transfer whilst building talent capacity
