Crazy! Pile 1 resonates a lot. I wonder often why some people are mean to me when I am actually a kind person. It’s just that I am not thirsting for contacts, I am pretty self sufficient and I’d rather be alone than in a mediocre company. @@ashtonward4254 no, people used to be really angry and rude at me when i was a teenager (i was rude and angry too, i expected them to automatically not like me, bcos someone close to me used to say that nobody would like me). Life was hard at the time, bcos everyone was mad at me. I felt like the whole world was out there to get me. Then i met a friend who loved me unconditionally. i began expecting people to actually like me and love me. This made me come out of my shell (previously, i was always hiding myself and not really engaging with anyone.) But then i began introspecting myself, replayed all the past incidents. I found out that people who were rude to me, was never really mad at me. They were only taking out their frustrations on me, It was never about me. I started to be more empathetic. That is when I began understanding that rude behaviour is never personal, unless they are complaining about your nasty behaviour. For example: 1. They tell you 'You are Ugly' - Dont take it personally, someone else told this to them and it hurt them. 3. They tell you 'I hope you never have babies.' (to someone who they obviously know wants babies and is having a hard time) - This is ridiculous. They are obviously trying to get a reaction, Do not give it to them. Statements like this should be forgotten right away. Cut this kind of person right away. Dont be empathetic to them. 2. They tell you 'I did not like that you did this.' - Take it personally, you might have did something wrong. To simplify, if they are talking about your behavior, consider whether you are in the wrong or not. If they are talkin about your beliefs, appearance etc., dont take them personally at all. If you are struggling to deal with an angry to rude person, try these. 1. Stay calm and don't bring any emotion to a heated conversation. Say what you want to say, with no emotion. its super hard to do. 2. Someone is super angry with you. But you smile at them. Not mockingly, but you just smile. There is nothing else in the world that would make an angry person feel silly and stupid than a smile or laugh. (do this only under conditions that are safe, bcos it could easily escalate to physical abuse) 3. Walk away. If someone is angry at you, Say nothing, and Walk away. The person is could follow you to torture you. And then you say, I wont talk to you when you are shouting. Calm down and come back - We will talk. And stick with it. Try this when someone you love gets angry at you. It helps avoid saying hurtful things. What i have also learned is that it is super boring to take away all your anger (if you are an angry person). you will feel like you have become a pathetic loser, a boring numb person. This is how i am feeling now that its hard for me to get angry or take things personally. Trying to change this and get my anger back, but in a balanced way. hope my super long essay helps lol

Kitchen nightmares is actually my favorite show right now I just discovered it recently. I used to think Gordon Ramsey was a whole jerk but after watching it I realized he knows what he’s talking about and I have so much respect for him now Lol really love his energy in that show, he doesn’t let anyone disrespect him or talk down to him. People have disrespected me my entire life, despite me being kind and to myself. It took me a while to figure out people were projecting a lot onto me, I used to be a whole doormat but my boundaries strong asf now. I can see through people more than before because I’ve experienced a lot of abuse and mistreatment from others, it drives people mad smh

#2. That’s true. Instead of talking back and correct their attitude/misunderstanding, my natural reaction would be just smiling to them & stay quiet 😅😅 I try to change that tho, but it’s baby steps. Because when I talk back, my words/tone can be really mean.
