The biggest danger with crypto is that you essentially become your own bank so if you start babbling about the thousands of dollars you own you will instantly become a target for obvious reasons.
I’m pretty sure if it’s in a “traditional” bank you still get chopped up and robbed if you start to deal with straight up gangsters. How much you wanna bet everything he “owns” is rented? And that he most likely lost someone very scary a lot of money? There’s plenty of millionaires
Having Ridiculous amounts of money and showing it off don't tend to attract much positive. If you want to be rich, that's fine...just don't let the world know. Keep it to yourself to stay safe.
When you become wealthy... treat it like fight club... don't f**king talk about it. Second, home security...spare no expense. Third, don't screw people over in business dealings. Fourth, see the value in trusts so grifters and potential enemies can't get to you financially. Fifth, obscure your wealth to the outside world.
Five phones? Living in an RV next to his workplace? Never talking about his activities? Even before the kidnapping the alarm bells are blaring for Victim 2.
Definitely led a double life, at least. Could have been quadruple lives. Someone like that, if he really did take his own life, it would have to be someone had threatened him with exposing all of his dark secrets.
@@Lena-so2lq exactly! Just bc someone lives “strangely” by society’s standards doesn’t mean they are up to something. Plenty of people that live “normal” lives do sinister things.
Watching this at work is helping keep my mind busy. My wife is in the ICU and hopefully will get to come home soon. She has stage 3 lung cancer and had fluid around her heart. She's just 32 years old and it's been rough for us these last 2 months. I'm thankful that some of my favorite RU-vidrs posted this week and have helped ease my mind. Excellent video as always Adrian. Keep up the great work brother.
I hope your wife can come home soon. Stay strong. Lean on your love for each other. You both deserve good things and I hope there are sunnier days to come 🌼
What really killed Fernando? Trying to impress people on line with his lavish influencer lifestyle. Ever notice how old money people can have tons of money but you'll never know it to look at them and they'll never tell you.
And sometimes really rich people are very low-key. They live in middle-class neighbourhoods, drive economical cars and don't wear designer clothing and jewellery.
A few decades ago when I lived near Spanish Harlem in NYC, I passed by a suitcase in a dumpster that smelled like death. I just carried on, but then I saw on the news later that there was a chopped up body in there. No joke. Seems to be the go to way that murderers like to dispose of a body.
A lot of people have the mentality of "You need money to make money". In some cases, that's true, but something like this is wrong. Most likely he didn't want to pay his debts because he wants to use that money to make more money and then pay the debt. The biggest problem with that is it's kinda like gambling with other people's money. Spending your own money to make money is fine because if you were wrong, you lost your own money. If you lose other people's money, well, you're f$%^ked.
Having debt doesn't remove wealth. Like, if someone is planning on k1lling someone who has money at home, they aren't also stealing that persons debts. Is it a fkd system? Sure. But a million in debt has little to do with the cash you have, as, the system is that fkd. You can have a mountain of cash and a mountain of debt simultaneously.
Exactly, having a financial expert by your side is invaluable due to their ability to provide personalised advice tailored to your specific financial situation. With their expertise, they can help you navigate complex financial decisions, Optimise your investments, and develop strategies to achieve your long-term financial goals.
The problem with over night success is most can't handle it. Most involve themselves in open showing off to the wrong people. They haven't adapted to quiet luxury. Then most make friends with the wrong people who will look to take your life to take your money.
First guy screwed himself. He should have paid back his debts first instead of parading all his wealth online while knowing he had all those debts. I would imagine that if one of the debt collector was viewing his instagram account with all his lavish spendings while knowing fernando still owed him 70k, he would in doubt be furious. Why didn't Fernando buy a few less luxury cars? he clearly had the money to pay back his debtors. Stupid choices lead to bad results.
Baby 8 after 7 kids? Living in an RV next to the hospital? FIVE cell phones?!? What?!? You need to do a deep dive on this guy. He sounds like a pile of sus.
Since I was a kid, my mom told me Never let anyone know how much wealth u have, no matter how deep in love u r. These days, ppl showing they r living in super wealthy life showing on their socials, I've always though that is very danger, u never know they ppl nice and good to u r truly or not.
Exactly why I drive an old toyota yet I can easily afford a 60 70 or 80k car, but car's are assets, so I may look poor driving down the road but my bank account, fico and credit scores are not
@@analogueoverdigital929 Exactly why I rent a 1 bedroom apartment in a rundown part of town and wear cheap clothes and sometimes go dumpster diving in fact to a large degree avoided acquiring the money in the first place. As soon as someone knows or you make a purchase that's it you are continually hounded.. it's better to harbour a secret mindset of a millionaire and walk around all stealthy like
at 21:46 there was a part added twice in the editing. I find it fascinating: it shows how much work there is behind these videos, possibly several takes for each part. Respect for the hard work!
Greed is a disease or just as debilitating to some. If money is what you worship giving any of it away is sacrilegious to you no matter the circumstances. Super sad.
Been really enjoying your content lately. Feels very personal to see you speak vs a faceless voice, and you do a great job of focusing on the case, but also giving due attention to the victims and what they were like. Thank you!
I wonder why the doctor guy was living in an RV. I get the proximity to work thing, but he’s a millionaire, father of 7, soon to be 8, a doctor, had a fiancée, and he didn’t have a permanent address?
I think it's a temporary housing just for access to work? If your work is your life, you want to close by. His permanent address is probably at another location with his fiance.
@@wallflowernook But he could easily have bought another property near the hospital. Loads of business men in London have a main residence but also have a luxury flat in the city to minimise any commuting.
@@yohyoh3614 That's the one thing I hate about Coffeehouse Crime: Adrian always treats the victims as if they're good people. He even defended a member of the Hell's Angels one time. It's ridiculous and insulting, but he has a nice guy image to maintain.
Thank you for always being respectful of the families and victims. This is the only true crime channel I've found that doesn't exploit the deaths but rather puts a human behind a name. You're the best, mate.
I feel like the Venn diagram of people who deal in crypto and people who engage in risky lifestyle activities like drugs, shady dealings, etc, probably overlaps quite a bit.
Q: Why are so many crypto millionaires mysteriously dying? A: Because people who take risks in one part of their lives are people who take risks in other parts of their lives.
I agree but what caused his demise is the fact that he cheated a lot of people out of a lot of money then went online flaunting the riches he gained from this stolen money.
Fernando never realized that "He" was the problem . He had weak psychology (i.e., bad spending habits) and that never changed after his supposed realization of the what the problem was.
Crypto isn't an 'investment' it's a speculative roller coaster underpinned by greed, not anything of value. Good luck if you gamble and win. Most won't make any money. It's a wealth redistribution system, from the gullible to the lucky or shady.
Broke up again with wife (and 7 kids), living in van which costs about $300,000.00, temporary as it's steps from work. A lot of other stuff far more closely related to the story.
I can kind of understand it if he was good at hiding off grid and thought him being away would protect his family. You're not wrong though. I'm thinking he was probably in survival mode, and that doesn't mean you have the best survival instincts...
Makes more sense if you consider he might've had some sort of undiagnosed mental disorder. The fact that he only ever told one person about the _alleged_ kidnapping is a bit of a red flag, because that's indicating paranoia getting in the way of him making rational decisions. I know a lot of people would point at his behavior before his death as not being one of a suicidal person, but how many times do we watch videos from channels like Coffehouse Crime where some suicide or murder-suicide has friends and neighbors going "oh my god, he/she seemed so happy, I never would've guessed!" At this point we all should've learned not to take a person's outward behavior as indisputable proof they aren't hiding some sort or internal struggle.
The second story, where John's brother, stated that John would never miss a shift even if his eyeballs were hanging out of their sockets is a weird response.
@@CoffeehouseCrimeAdrian I always keep missing you I just want to say Hi 😀👋🏼 and say I absolutely❣️your Channel it is very Addictive and I 💞your Presentation of every Video.
@@CoffeehouseCrime doubled his money in four days? why do you believe the scammers lies! NO rich successful people do it just as much as any other group! Maybe he was told to do it or else the family? so the family would have got DNA test and that showed it was him! 3rd guy you do realise hes skitzo?
I might also add that going eyeball to eyeball with darkness does take a psychological toll. Especially, when it is a new and upsetting view of the world. Actually, finding evil is most disturbing to the psychologically intact. It is unnerving and painful. Hence, the trait for so many is that “You can’t handle the truth”.
Holy cow , Adrian- you’re about to have 2 million subscribers!!! How did that happen?! (Well) You do your research and are respectful, while also inserting a few nice laughs…great job and that’s crazy! Just wanted to bring that up and thank you for your work on alll these videos 🎉
I truly enjoyed this interesting format. Every video you post has been so informative. I also believe that Johns story is very puzzling. With the last case, Did the investigators ever find that his laptop had been compromised??? Thank you for being so real, I like that you share some of what you think. I so enjoy your videos, your knowledge, format, introduction etc etc. And you are just adorable !!!!!!!
Love the format. Please use it again! I personally don't care if your stories are crypto-based or not. You always come up with interesting and thought-provoking tales about real people. Thank you.
It's ridiculous to think John Forsyth "had no idea"' why he was kidnapped in 2022. What kidnapper would hold someone captive without disclosing their reasons to someone? Especially when they let the captive go unharmed? There would be zero point in doing that! I absolutely believe that John knew his kidnapper(s) and/or the reasons behind the abduction.
The money game is the most lethal one for anyone to get involved in. It makes me feel a bit safer knowing that I haven't got anything worth killing me for. I would imagine that there are far more drawbacks to being rich than there are to being poor. The more you have, the more you have to lose. Stay safe and well, everyone.
Yep, people literally kill each other over single drug deal, things get a lot riskier when we're talking about millions. Don't mess with family or the bag unless you want things to get serious.
love the delivery of true crime stories on this channel... never gives you relatives crying, no endless repetition of obvious details... just the facts, as well as the life of the victim
I remember an American a few years ago who ran a sports betting company that took crypto. He got kidnapped for ransom. Don't know if the kidnappers got paid, but he got unalived within a few weeks
Best thing that happened to me last year that I can attest to is the progress I have made so far on trade. Venturing into crypto was my best decision ever I know more is yet to come 2024
Like the analyst, I'm positive about Bitcoin. I am sure that now it will begin to develop rapidly, it's very difficult to give an accurate forecast, but I prefer trade my Bitcoin and accumulate more.
Thanks for another really great video. I really liked this one. Suspense, mystery, sadness and it also shows no matter how much money you have, your life can be just as chaotic as someone with very little.
Trust me it’s better to look poor when you have money. And anyone that talks about how rich they are or tries to look are probably poor. Being private is the best
Yes… I noticed that although his behaviour was just as dodgy as the rest of the cases, his description was worded way more positively He wasn’t shady, he just ‘sectioned off parts of his life’ … he wasn’t a loser who left a women with 7 children to shack up with a new one he got pregnant, he was a ‘loving person who asked his girlfriend to marry him’ Amazing how people can be manipulated to feel more positively about someone just by the way we describe them 😂😂 The comments about this guy are pretty much all positive even though to me he still sounds as flawed and dishonest as everyone else on the video…
Crypto people are big into rug pulls, it doesn't surprise me in the slightest that lots of them go missing. People don't always take too kindly to being robbed
What comes to mind when hearing about John’s case is that he could have been blackmailed. The fact that he was once already abducted and robbed and he didn’t say anything about it makes it seem like he also wanted to hide something. Yes they could’ve threatened his family but it seems super weird that in both scenarios he was super compliant, the no talking and in the 2nd one, walking away from his car. Surly he had to know he was walking towards his death. A smart person that was in danger would get in his car and run and warn your family to flee as well. He willingly walked away from his car. I think he was blackmailed and felt like he didn’t have a choice but to comply. Him sending money to people before his death kinda lets us know he had to have known he was in danger. Why would someone who’s in danger not seek help? As in who could’ve blackmailed him, maybe a ex friend or business partner or maybe the gov? Who ever it was has to have major power to be able to cover something up so badly but effectively.
I think the answer to why they all disappear is GREED. These people just don’t know when to stop. And immense wealth attracts nasty people. I’d say - make your money and then enjoy your life. You need to know when enough is enough. Rest in peace to these victims 💔

I'm new to cryptocurrency and don't understand how it really works. how Can someone know the right approach to investing and making good profits from cryptocurrency investments?
As a beginner investor, it’s essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. Myself, I’m guided by Alex Gomez. A widely known crypto consultant
I started working with Alex back in February, and my financial goals have never been clearer. It’s like having a strategic partner for my money with a solid track record.
Please, please, please cover John McAfee. His case is so weird that I actually have trouble wrapping my brain around it. As always, wonderful content! Thank you so much! ❤❤❤
Well, one have to wise about there are bad people out here who are demons that envy what one achieve. That is why one should keep their riches to themselves, showing off wealth is always a danger. You will see table turns, family and friends. He wasn't smart enough to protect himself, rip to him.
This deep dive was interesting. I would like to see more investigations like this in the future. I think you do a great job at tackling the macro and individual cases. I will say, I ought to start having more coffee. I typically watch this channel every time I eat ramen. 🍜
Good morning from Arizona! I would love to hear stories from here if there any with your time. You are doing fantastic work here. Any chance you might do a podcast format?
The thing is with crypto When you die you're the only one who has access to your crypto wallet and those assets will sit there indefinitely unless you've given direction and access to your loved ones. It's not like a bank. That cold storage thumb drive gets tossed with all your other thumb drives. That's a problem.
The real problem is that the criminals can use your cold wallet without even laundering it, if they break your password... ...assuming you're smart enough to put a password.
I had a major break while alone in the woods after my ex locked me out my home away from my children. I felt it was happening and was aware of what I was doing plus why I was doing it however I was not in control. Isolation breeds insanity if not kept in check. The last guy if it was a suicide did not come back from it and mine was to disappear. it did not help that I was a combat vet and I began hearing tanks and rifle shots in close proximity to my camp site. I snapped back into reality soon after the shots stopped. My number 1 rule in land navigation is to never, EVER go down into the valley. Always manipulate and the terrain and plan your route to avoid them. I finally woke up and great I was in a ankle deep swamp. or marsh. Boots and socks were wet but evasion of the enemy and making it on the military base was more important. Eventually I went to rehab. No matter what, take your medication, work your system and allow others to help you and give you advice so you don't end up in the ocean drowning or a swamp in a daze
