Hi Mike, que bueno ver otro video tuyo! Vale, iré directo al grano si me lo permites. La entrevista fue bien interesante . Estoy descuerdo 98% con lo que dijo tu amigo sobre Medellín. Soy canadiense y acabo de regresar a Canadá después de vivir dos años en Medellín. Es cierto hay mucha buena gente en Colombia incluso mi esposa quién es Paisa..lol.. otra cosa es muy cierto la ciudad es muy peligrosa especialmente para los extranjeros que no tiene mucho experiencia en viajando por este parte del mundo. Me vuelve loco cada vez más, realmente me da muchísimo rabia cuando veo los youtubers gringos que intenta vender/ mostrar Medellín como un ciudad tan amable, tan segura, porque no es, no es para nada. Ya como tú sabes cada semana hay extranjeros muriendo allá, los mataron por muy poco dinero. Y los ladrones sindicatos están bien organizados y la verdad es que la policía, hmm no sé , la policía no puede hacer mucho al respecto, es como si se hubiera convertido en un parte aceptado de la vida y ya. I digress, no doubt your friend didn't get many strange looks as you asked, (I say this with absolutely no judgement it's just the fact) the guy really looks Paisa, in fact I showed my wife the video and other than his speech she thought he was a Paisa, so he fits in, in that aspect. Me on the contrary I'm a typical white guy from Canada and although I speak a high-level of Spanish I got continual rude stares, not judging the Colombian people it's just a fact they're not aware of the rudeness I think. And since I'm talking about cultural differences, Colombian people have absolutely zero concept of personal space, specifically in Medellin. I mean absolutely zero concept and respect for personal space, it does not exist there y punto. It drove me and it even drove my Paisa wife nuts. Well I said I said it's not that I dislike Colombian people or their culture I'm just pointing out the big cultural differences I noticed after living there two years. And there are many many good things in their culture as well. I think it's important when we're talking about Colombia specifically Medellin that first time travellers are very aware of what is going on there when it comes to drugging and robbing foreigners. It is literally common place and it's only gotten worse in the last year. I think there was eight foreigners killed in meta-Jean just in November 2023 you can check that if you'd like. Buen entrevista. Lo disfruté mucho. La única cosa que era rara para mi fue cuando el hablaba de su capaz a defender su mismo en situationes peligros. Si hay armas incluso no importa de tus habilidades. Por cierto puedes disminuirlos con to conocimiento, compartimiento y habilidades pero a veces estás en un lugar mal y no hay nada tu puedes hacer otro que cooperar con los ladrones
Si tienes razón, me parece que el estaba hablando más de andar con confianza en vez de andar con miedo. Los malos se aprovechan mucho a los que tienen miedo y creo que esa vibra es como el se defiende. De todas maneras tienes toda la razón
Tranquilo amigo/a... Mi esposa es colombiana y hablamos solo en español todo el tiempo todos los días y a veces siento como sí fuera mi primer día hablando el idioma 🤪 no sé por qué pasa eso a veces, pero la vida continúa :))
