Long before the movie "Roots" he told me his great great great (I forgot how many greats) grandfather had a family business capturing and selling people into slavery. But I didn't believe him until I saw "Roots." Not only does America owes Black Americans reparations but so does Africa.

Black Americans have enough support among themselves let them folks and others manage on their own. No need to unify integrate or align. Outside of skin color black Americans you don’t know these people. Get away from color and focus on lineage and integrate among yourselves.

Funny that this video showed up. I just came off of a video about Black American Celebrities and South Africans having issues with some things that they said. What got me is the comment section had plenty to say about Black Americans and not good things. They were talking about regular Black Americans in a way that made me think in a whole different light. One American mentioned that we were protesting against apartheid and a S.A. lady commented “What do you want us to do?.. kiss your feet”. I left that video feeling some type of way.

They can't do anything for us any, hell, they can't do for themselves.

My grandmother cooked everything from scratch.and eating out was very rare. I don't even remember McDonalds as a child and The fish frys we had was everything growing up in Louisiana

My grandmother had a vegetable garden ,and when she picked from the garden, she'd always put a pot of something on for the family to snack on. One of our favorites was turnip green with white cornmeal and onion dumplings. The family would eat and enjoy it till the pot was nothing but liquid 😊
