The sharks have been so bad out in the Gulf of Mexico! We catch some amazing fish with Ellie and our friends Carlie and Matt. We some how got some fish past all the sharks MUTTON SNAPPER catch clean and cook.
She is a beast 💪 that girl has no quit in her but she is the baby with 4 older brothers and a mom and dad that never treated her like a princess! That fish is so amazing fresh!
Another great video Steve . I know what it’s like to be fishing with your girl. I like it more than when I go with my boys . No boat yet, hopefully by October or November. Went to Bimini last week with the family but mostly relaxing only fished one day . I hope to go back in the new boat and not the ferry. I hope everything is good your way. Keep in touch. Some fishermen here in the Philippines eat sharks (but not those size). They prepare them a way like sushi in japan, but here in Philippines, we call it Kinilaw (you can search it up if you need some info about that dish, sir). Anyway, great catch, Mr. Vander Baan and nice video btw. 👌
Nothing better that a couple of good guys with their kids on a fishing trip… I will never forget those times brother. And I see Ellie is still a slayer. Awesome video. I love to watch videos from Florida. You guys have a lot of fish species that we don't have here in San Diego, California. And of course we've got fish that you don't have too. 😁 The African pompano and mutton snapper look delicious. I have never eaten them before. I wonder what fish those might taste like from over here? It is great to see that you take your daughter out fishing with you. I have taken my son out fishing with me since he was six months old. He's now twelve and still likes to go with me. Hopefully he won't grow up out of it. Keep those videos coming. Fish on!
He won't grow out of it, I've been taking my children fishing since they were babies and they literally look forward to it more than anything else! I would love to fish over in California. I've been over there many times and didn't catch a whole lot but still the most beautiful amazing water reminds me of Massachusetts Cold water 💪
@vanderbaanswildlife Doing some maintenance on my boat now. I've just changed out the shifting cable and electrical fuel pump on the port side outboard. I took it out last Sunday and need to adjust the idle and shifting cable. It is an old boat, but it works for me, and we go fishing on it when there is time. If you're ever over here let me know. Maybe we can go out fishing. We are lucky in San Diego cause the yellowfin and bluefin tunas are not too far away from us. My friends have been catching them in Mexican waters offshore fishing. Of course we have the yellowtails, a species like your amberjacks out your way, and other ground fish to look for like lingcods, calico bass, sand bass, halibuts and others. Yeah, I'm hoping that my son doesn't grow up out of it like you've said. He still asks to go fishing when we don't. Fishing is fun and a great way to build memories and bond more together.
Dude that would be insane I would love that!! Your boat my be old but I just changed my cables a month ago and its not very old! Your son will be taking you fishing when you get old💕

full moon in june/july is the mutton spawn. mangroves and yellow tails will bite at night with the full moon especially june/july. muttons will also bite real good shallow after a big storm / major pressure change

Holy cow you don't understand how I could use that right now I wish I could do that stuff so bad I miss the ocean and I tell you I just wish people could realize that that God has blessed you and I hope and pray that I will be able to do that kind of fishing with my son
