Thank you so much Ryan and Ernst for putting this information out in a way that people can truly understand the scientific foundation behind calculating Nakshatras in relevance to the ecliptic and in addition the importance of a stable ayanamsa!
Am I an appropriate audience? TZF! Coolest pop-on caption! Ryan, you are not only a super cool Vedic Astrologer, yogi, rock'n roll band member but also a great post-production editor. The laughs suit you the most. Thank you for the video! 🌹
Thanks for this video! Ayanamsa issue has been on my mind ever since I got into Jyotish (2011). No dasha has matched me at all, which has caused other astrologers to keep rectifying my time (pushing it even 12 minutes!) to match....but I always feel to myself they just need to stop Lahiri. What annoys me most is people who refuse to test anything other than Lahiri and say "its most popular which proves its best". how very "Scientific". /sarcasm.
Have always wondered how the great MahaRishis conversed with each other, in the golden days of yore. Thank you gentlemen, for affording me an opportunity to peek into that age.. :) Truly a great session!!! Cleared a lot of clutter that has been bothering me for quite some time. May God bless you both with even more erudition in Jyotish..!
But when Ernst was using sidereal zodiac he was using the galactic plane aligned in the middle of Mula Nakshatra not the galactic center - coincidentally this is very close to Chitra/Spica based Ayanamshas like Lahiri (True Chitra would be closer to Galactic plane). Ernst uses Galactic Center in the middle of Mula for nakshatras, not sidereal zodiac signs. Coincidentally, the latter is close to Ayanamshas that use Revati. It is conceptually iconoclastic, but the results (at least for near future) are not very divergent.
The best explanation for Ayanamshas I've found here on RU-vid. However, a doubt for me remains: we use a sidereal ayanamsha (galactic center or plane or whatever) ONLY for Nakshatras and NOTHING else? Therefore we use the tropical ayanamsha for EVERYTHING else: Rashi chart, Varga charts, Vimshottari Dasha, transits, panchanga, Karakas, etc??
If you don't have Kala software, what would be the closest popular ayanamsa (Traditional Lahiri or True Lahiri?) that approximates using Ernst's Galactic Plane ayanamsa for sidereal rashis? I want to do some well informed research that reasonably approximates a scientifically justifiable ayanamsa without having to commit to investing in Kala (just yet at least!)
Namaskar Ernst , I hope you're doing well and thank you Ryan for your wonderful RU-vid channel and for bringing Ernst back , but Ernst I still couldn't figure out what system you follow to deduce charts because almost an year ago you gave me a brief reading in which you said I have rahu in the lagna , I've tried all the methods but I can get to that placement "_"
Ryan Kurczak thanks Ryan but I still can't find that placement (rahu in the lagna ) with either tropical or the sidereal zodiac !! My Dob is 27 Feb 1994 , 7:05 AM , new delhi (India)
Namaskar -Saurabh Sharma, Depending on which house system you use, Rahu is going to be in the 8th of 9th house. I use KP ayanamsa and the Placidus cusp of the 9th house is 29.51 Libra, and your natal Rahu is at 3.32 Scorpio. Ernst uses tropical and the Campanus house system, and he explained his reasons for doing so in his first interview with Kapiel Raj (KRSChannel). Your Mean Node (Rahu) is at 28.04 Scorpio in tropical. Using Campanus the 9th cusp is at 28.03 Scorpio, so your Rahu is right on the 9th house cusp, 1 minute into the 9th house. Using True Node sets your Rahu at 27.13 Scorpio and puts it in the 8th house. In KP your Ascendant is at 18.47 Aquarius, and at under 20.00 Aquarius it's going to be in Shatabhista nakshatra (using KP or even Lahiri ayanamsa), which is ruled by Rahu, and thus your Ascendant star lord is Rahu. Right now you're running Rahu mahadasha, Rahu bhukti. Also, using Jaimini to find your Arudha Lagna using the Rasi chart (instead of house cusps) and KP ayanamsa, since Saturn is in the same sign your Ascendant is in, the 10th house (which is the whole sign of Scorpio in your case) becomes your Arudha Lagna, and Rahu is also in Scorpio. (Using the tropical Zodiac, the 9th house (with Jupiter) in Scorpio would become your Arudha Lagna.) The Lot (Part) of Fortune conjunct your Moon in the 7th house indicates that you stand to benefit greatly from marriage. The Lot of Fortune is one thing that was brought into KP from Western astrology. Using the sublords of both planets and house cusps in KP, it looks like you got married young, most likely when you were close to turning 21 years old and running Mars/Venus/Jupiter. I did Western astrology for 2 decades and experimented with a lot of approaches, including Gauquelin sectors. Saturn in a Gauquelin sector indicates a physician or a scientist; Venus a painter; Sun an extrovert with "alpha male" traits. Michel Gauquelin looked at thousands of charts and then made his conclusions. K S Krishnamurti did the same thing with his KP system of astrology. Using KP or Lahiri ayanamsa, your Moon is in Uttara Phalguni (Leo) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vFk0rw7YrJQ.html Using tropical, your Moon is in Hasta nakshatra (Virgo) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LaC_vTLs4Q8.html Watch both videos and see which one best describes you.
