I have a very simple (I think) explanation if somebody has a minimal interest in car can understand: Vx is torque Vy is horsepower Vx aka torque needs if you want to tow a caravan to the hill. (Steep climb, Vx, slow but steep, like a tractor) Vy aka horsepower needs if you want to go fast on highway. (accelerate, need to cover horizontal distance fast, Vy) The rest is magic with those charts ;)

I have one question. Is it correct to say that VX would indeed be correlated to Vmd (The velocity where you have minimum drag or green doy speed)? Because the jet engine thrust avaliable remains quasi constant no matter the airspeed?

Excellent question! I have to admit I don't remember the answer, especially as this video is mainly focused on prop aircraft.

Well explained....thank you..... Left of the minimum if i reduce thrust(throttle down Power) speed increased and right of minima if i increased thrust(throttle up) speed increased, is that right?

I'm afraid not! Left of the minimum you'll slow down quicker the slower you go.
