Lewis spot on here. Last season when Arsenal lost next to none of reg 11 they were calling Lewis etc out for moaning about injures as an excuse. Now they doing the exact same thing.
@@drecurtis7122 we’ve played 8 games🤣 man city are completely different without rodri they almost ‘bottled’ it against wolves ffs it’s a long season pal 👍
A part of what holds Arsenal back is the fanbase mentality & overrating mid every time. The way they go on about some of their players you would think they won at least one proper trophy in the last 10 years. They compared Saka to Salah and Saliba to VVD that will never get old ...
You mean the players that have helped Arsenal challenge for the Premier League title? Yeah, what a weird thing to do as fans to be bigging them up! You should work for Sky Sports, mate!
@@d.s5508hard to admit but Saka is world class, his actually technical ability isn’t special at all looks crude at times and looks limited. But the numbers he provides are top and he’s got an underrated football brain
Yeah, I had an arguement about this yesterday XD, the prem central thing even confirmed that the ref disallowed it. I think the linesman said it should be given or something, and then he checked it
Liverpool lost their two best players before playing Barcelona down 3-nil (no salah, no firmino) and still fought back. They also were down to ten men against Newcastle and gave it a go. Arsenal are in the mud. Arsenal fans need to stop wingin
Arsenal started at midfield 3 that costed them what? 200 million? Who fucking cares that you have 2 injuries. It’s Arteta/Arsenal’s fault they’ve spunk hundreds of millions and only have 2 creative players 😂
You’re comparing arsenal to Newcastle though thats silly? Its like a colchester fan can say “arsenal keep on bottling the league” and be right even though their team is tiers below
It is so weird that people keep comparing Arsenal with Newcastle. Especially here when eveyone says Arsenal are "one of the best". Yet all it takes is someone to say Arsenal were mid and they lose their heads and forget how "mighty" they claim to be
So we glossing over the fact raya had a shocker, meant to be world class when he’s pulling off good saves but when he’s shit nothing gets mentioned, he couldn’t kick the ball properly on Saturday, passing it to a Bournemouth player at one point
you can always tell the difference in opinion between someone that can actually play football and fully understands it and someone that just watches it. Im a Liverpool fan but losing your 2 best players will be difficult against any prem team.
Arsenal fan here. You're right, but we can't justify a 0-2 loss to Bournemouth if we want to win the league. We got lucky last season with injuries compared to other clubs. If Jesus and Martineli were playing well, we might have a chance - but they're not. We don't have the squad depth and our ability to score falls apart if Saka/Odegaard aren't playing.
Theyre debated as the "best team in the league" yet all it takes is 2 players to be injured and they fall apart? That's pathetic, ESPECIALLY at the highest level ☠️
@@theamulas I dont think you realise how lucky you were last season, liverpool had like 11 players (inc first team players) out the majority of the season and we still fought until the end. We started the season with the smallest squad and still fought and won a trophy, they even knocked arsenal out of a cup and was in europe. Some how they fought until the final weeks before losing all steam. Arsenal had hardly any injuries last season and were unlvuky.
It was given initially. Checking offside doesnt necessarily mean theyre checking an offside thats been given. Gary oneill even called for the review to the 4th official.
@@thedunyadoneya2628 Watching the match I thought the same as you, however the linesman did actually flag for offside and it was disallowed on the pitch
@@kb2two exactly, arteta deserves blame for spending that money on 3 DM’s. Regardless there’s enough in that midfield trio to get a result against Bournemouth.
Lewis is the biggest waffler around. Baseless arguments - Constantly flip-flopping his own points and then labels every loss as "bottled" Then gets absolutely rattled when any criticism of Newcastle comes in, thinking Wilson is better than Haaland with no stats to back it up 😂😂
How daft are you lot? Last season came down to the final matchweek. Arsenal were in 1st on 86 points, and City 2nd on 85points with a game in hand. City only won the league by 2 points.
People need to watch Theo Hernandez more if they think he’s a great left back, I’ve seen him against Liverpool and fiorentina this season and he’s been shocking, people take 1 good season from a player and think it’s the norm to say they are good without watching them
Using the excuse of “Our 2 best players are out” is only valid if you’re going against a top 6 club atleast. Man city have played almost every game this season without their 2 best players (KDB and Rodri) and are still only 1 point behind Liverpool. So many Arsenal fans have said that they’re better than Man City, or even that they’re title favorites. But you can’t be saying that when 2 injury’s basically knock you out of the competition
The city goal was originally disallowed by the on-field officials, they went to the screen and reversed the decision and gave the goal. Tom wrong as usual
Lewis is right here for once. It’s always excuses with arsenal. Also makes me laugh how Toms hatred for Liverpool always blinds his opinions. At the start of the season he didn’t think they were going to challenge so, for him, they shouldn’t be held to the same standard as Arsenal and City
I agree that the Man City goal was fine, but the problem is if it was the other way around and wolves had scored that goal would it still be given? No it wouldn’t, you can say there’s no way we could know that but based on similar situations in past games the big teams (especially city) always get these decisions.
If losing 1 game in October costs you the league then what are we doing? May as well just give City the title at the start of every season... Arsenal have lost 1 game away from home in the Premier League in 2024 & people are having an absolute melt down, Arsenal started poorly last season & came close, losing a game isn't the end of the world its how they respond, if they beat Liverpool then everyone will forget about Bournemouth.
Arsenal are facing a team that hasn’t lost at all. Arsenal have lost twice and City haven’t lost at all in 2024. That’s why they won. I definitely think it’s too early to say that Arsenal should just give up but let’s not pretend it’s not a similar result against similar opposition that cost you your last two league titles races.
So the mighty Assenal, who Theo, Reev, and two tier tom ALL PICKED to win the league, are so dependent on 2 players that they cannot compete vs Bournemouth without them? I thought Assenal were supposed to be "the best team in the league"??? 😭😭
2 best players injured is crazy. Yes saka 1 but fuck me saliba and Gabriel are better for arsenal than odegaard. Changing it later in the video to "creative" is even worse.
You know what's funny and why Lewis is right? If United lost, they'd just deal with it, cause they know they're ass, if City lost, then they'd genuinely know they messed up somewhere, but each and every damn time Arsenal drop points, they come up with a million excuses, it's ridiculous. People used to make fun of Klopp for cooking up some random excuses but Arsenal genuinely top that
crazy how cocky arsenal fans like Theo act when they constantly shit their pants, win a major trophy before acting cocky and dont act like a big team until then
Lewis finally says something correct. You cannot say injuries were a main reason why Arsenal lost. Arsenal should beat bournemouth 10/10 times without saka and odegaard.
liverpool cant bottle the league because they shouldnt be in this position but arsenal bottled it two years ago when everyone thought theyd finish 8th that season. make it make sense.
How do these people run a football podcast and just forget that Arsenal took it to the final day literally 5 months ago? They're getting rich of it aswell.. world just ain't fair
@@thedunyadoneya2628 Incorrect. The Premier League have said the goal was disallowed on-field. And also, you can see in the top left corner of the VAR review graphic that it says Checking Disallowed Goal.
2:17 im not an arsenal fan here but just to put lewis in his place he called arsenals 22/23 season a bottle but no one before that season started excepted arsenal to be in a title race everyone said they would compete for 4th again so how when if liverpool lose a game its not bottling because no one expected them to be there
Lewis tryna argue how Arsenal bottled the league, but he’s quick to forget that he said Newcastle will finish above them, yet they bottled it against Brighton 😂😂
Lewis has a point in terms of arsenals mentality wheb down to 10men, if yoy look at liverpool last season against newcastle, they had VVD sent off when 1nil down and went on and won 2-1. I dont think arsenal have that in them to winwitmes with 10men
Lewis Chatting absolute nonsense as usual, it's a ridiculous disservice to how good Bournemouth actually are. Also on the injuries take a look at the arsenal bench that game and there was maybe 2 players that i'd argue would get into that Bournemouth starting 11, they're bang average. Bench: Setford, Kiwior, Zinchenko, Lewis-Skelly, Jorginho, Nwaneri, Martinelli, Jesus, Kabia.
This whole video is so contradictory. Constantly going back on what they are saying. And Theo isnt even there. I normally agree with tom and reev but moving goal posts I can't get behind
Lewis needs to pipe down man he doesn't have a leg to stand on he talks up Newcastle like some elite club and mentions title charges, he said they might be in with a shout for the UCL a couple seasons ago. That brother might be top 3 deluded fan of all time alongside Ty.
