Hi Folks, I have a doubt regarding tax on dividends. Please clarify. I heard that we have to pay tax on dividend income if it crosses 5k per annum. Whether that 5k is inclusive of all stocks dividend in our portfolio or for each stock, we can have 5k as dividend without tax?
As far as I know it’s for each stock, let’s say you holding two different companies stock and for one company A ,you have received dividend of 4000 and for other company B , you receive dividend around 8000 then company B will deduct tds of 800 rs and credit 7200 in your bank account and Company A will credit 4000 in your bank account. I hope I am able to explain.
AGI greenpack is looking solid. Stock has already doubled in last few months. Looks like a missed opportunity. Still the valuations are comfortable. Need to deep dive and probably wait for some correction before adding. Alternately, an SIP kind of investment can be done. Pls note that I haven't deep dive into it yet.
