Not saying they should have kept Xavi, but the man was one stupid red card by Araujo away from making the UCL semifinals. The way people responded to “no trophies” was an overreaction.
I'm a Barcelona fan, and the fact that we didn't win any trophy was not terrible. The way we played was worrying, we suffered in a lot of games with small teams. It's a harsh time for Barcelona, they struggle financially and I don't know if they have the capacity to compete at the highest level right now
flick brought the best out of lewandowski u could argue hes alot older now, but i think we can see one more year of an insane lewandowski season with flick.
@@Pinas.R_a_culer Every manager says/ does that these days. Look the guy is there because of the older players, Lewy, Gundogan and Ter stegen. He can directly communicate with those guys much better and they will act as captains for sure with detachment of Roberto(es). so no doubt we will see less youngster growth and development. He plays a different formation football, Barca are not going to look for a deep lying midfielder anymore, That's a hugee change for Barcelona as a club. It's a sudden shock, but IDK maybe a shock is needed. But anything shocky doesnt last long either.
lets keep in mind xavi brought in Romeu and also wanted to renew Roberto. lets not forget xavi is also the one who didnt want grimaldo in favour of Alonso😂😂
People wants to judge him only from the national team. A national team is way harder to get your team to adapt to your ideas becauae you have 2 weeks or so . Its completely different at a club

a manager is as good as his team. This team desperately needs a DM and a LW to function properly. So Laporta doesn't provide Flick with the signings, even he can't perform. Heck even Pep wouldn't perform.
@@imransuhail82lol pep came in to handle the greatest team we ever had. This is light years away from our current squad. I will be schocked if glick does better than xavi
For sure Barca are getting a LW and DM this summer. Highly unlikely that kimmich would come over but they will definitely get someone decent enough to. It would be upto flick to integrate the new DM into the squad.
I think a big difference is that Xavi was stubborn with his subs and rotation and that’s very important if there is one thing our rivals when things aren’t going great Ancelotti knows when do change set up rotate and knows exactly when he needs changes on the pitch I really don’t know why it hurts a lot of managers egos when it comes to substitutes
Welcome to Barça Hansi Flick👍 Thanks God we will see high intensiv fast mentalty modern football manager 💪💙❤ Thanks God 🙏🏼 Big Thanks to Hansi Flick he choose oss Fcbarcelona. You are already my Legend Boss Hansi 💯 More than Welcome 💪💙❤
@@companyofcules I don’t know what HTD means and Nico Williams is a Spanish LW playing for Athletic Bilbao and one of the most promising young talents in LaLiga
Despite Barcelona’s harsh decision to sack Xavi, the arrival of Hansi Flick some people are skeptical of it. Let’s hope that they don’t look foolish for the manner in which Xavi was sacked. I would’ve given him more time and he didn’t do a bad job especially since he put a lot of trust in the young players, it wasn’t working and the team has gone as far as he’s taken them. He is kinda an upgrade on him because with a proper manager in the team there’s better tactics fresh ideas and a reset button for the team especially since they’re coming off the back of a season where they didn’t win any trophies and despite their financial situation and the reliance on academy players, when everyone is fit Barcelona has more than enough talent to be competing for Real Madrid in La Liga and at least have a deep run in the champions league. A lot of you are thinking to yourself, why are they hiring a manager who struggled with the Germany national team. It’s true that it didn’t work out with Germany as this is a team with a lot of good players, we have to remember that their downfall started far before they even hired him and besides the differences between club and international football is absolutely staggering and some managers are better suited to coaching a team at club level than they are at individual level. What he did at Bayern Munich in the 2019-20 season when he helped them win the treble including a sextuple which is 6 trophies in a span of 12 months, that doesn’t guarantee that he’ll be a success at Barcelona. Because Robert Lewandowski is reuniting with his former manager under him he did have the best season of his career where he should’ve won a Ballon Dor, I don’t know if that means we’ll see a better version of him at Barcelona. He’s not the player he used to be and while he still knows how to put the ball in the back of the net, at Barcelona he’s not scoring goals at the rate in which he was doing at Bayern Munich and I think that age is catching up to him he has passed his prime and had Xavi still been their manager, they would’ve gotten rid of him. The reason why I say that is because he’s walking into a team that isn’t in the best state from a financial perspective as there’s a lot of limitations within that area and that makes it difficult for them to make significant transfers and for any manager, dealing with a financial situation is easier said than done. People also don’t understand the difficulty of being the Barcelona manager and this is something that Hansi Flick will find out because at this football club you’re expected to compete for multiple trophies across different competitions and win them as well, but when you’re at Barcelona, you’re expected to play attractive football and win a certain way. You have to win the “Barcelona way” and they do have the players to playing a much better brand of football, but we’re in the Pep Guardiola era anymore this isn’t 2009 or 2011, as you have to be able to win games convincingly and have that mentality to also get results even when you don’t play well. The game has evolved you can’t just expect a team to win 4-0 every game, they have to work for the win and that’s how a team wins trophies. That’s how they won the league last season being able to win games in an ugly fashion the old school way even if this isn’t Barcelona DNA’s. All teams are different, look at Real Madrid it doesn’t matter if they defend the whole game have less possession get outplayed or play poorly because they find a way to win and for them that’s what matters. That’s their DNA getting the job done and get Tony results whether they scrape by teams or come back from behind. Nobody wants to see them defense for the whole game, but isn’t that how they knocked Manchester City out of the Champions League at the Etihad a couple of weeks ago. Finding different ways to win it’s down to elite coaching and it’s one of the reasons why no matter what happens, they always win the champions league because they win games in a way that other teams cannot do. Barcelona and Real Madrid are different you can’t compare their styles, with the circumstances they face, Flick has to get this team to win and play good football.
@@MrISkater how short is your attention span, too much youtube shorts, if he had written it all in different comments you would have read it all, you already read a bunch of comments here on this video and on other videos too, what’s wrong with it all being on one comment?
I just hope for my beloved Barcelona this works out. Not at all sold on Hansi. Never was. One has to look at his CV. Never managed a big club untill 2019. He is 60yrs. Hansi is half a season wonder. When BM won UCL, they beat Lampard, Setien, Rudi Garcia and Tuchel. Whole format was changed due to covid. Played on neutral ground and one legged tie. Not taking away the credit of winning UCL but only proper coach he beat was Tuchel. Btw Flick's team conceedes 1 goal a game. Next season, BM got knocked out in Pokal, and UCL in his 1st full season in charge. Flick became 1st coach to be sacked by Germany. If Barca wanted replacement for Xavi and a German one Tuchel could have been the answer. Highly experienced, excellent tactically. Yes, Tuchel did not have good season at BM. But Tuchel is head and shoulders ahead of Flick. Like I said, I just hope this works out for my beloved Barcelona.
Good stuff. I think his passage with Germany as head coach is a little misleading given how that Germany side at the world cup actually played good football and wasn't the disaster people make it out to be but as with all short tournaments not scoring the chances you create and conceding one too many goals from mistakes is costly. Also he did not have a few of the key profiles he had at Bayern which I believe he will also have in Barca with the likes of Balde, Cancelo(if he stays), Lamine, Fermin, Pedri to name a few. I'm actually excited
Barca has become lazy and undisciplined, they need a Flick to produce better conditioning and fitness as well as exciting football. Barca became unrecognizable under Xavi.
If he really gets the player profiles and players do 2 thing Barca will become monsters again: 1-not let conceding goals effect them mentally and just focus on scoring more 2-work to death on and off the pitch, I’m seeing the current team players and for some dumb reason the most impotent players for building out of defense the pivots just walk around at the start of the match while the defenders are searching for a passing outlet! If this doesn’t happen we will get Germany Flick😔
All Hansi Flick needs is a good strong ball winner in the middle of the pitch who could stop play. Kimmich and Frenkie Dejong are the same type of players, you can't rely on them to give you 5 tackles in a game. I will get Amadou Onana and pair him with Frenkie or Kimmich. If he doesn't do something like that his double pivot will be bullied all season, like what happened with Kimmich and Gundogan in the German national team.
@@imransuhail82people think they know flick's style but they don't, flick doesn't use a ball winning cdm nor does he use someone like busquet but he needs someone who can give out passes accurately like someone like kimmich or kroos
@@JoeMama-sd2kl it will be dejong and one deep playmaker like kimmich, as for the attacking midfielder he will choose someone who knows how to score, as such it will be either pedri or gundogan who will play but not both
Reason why Flick failed with Germany, from what I’ve seen, he’s a coach that needs to be close to all his players week in week out, something he can’t do as a national team coach due to the players playing club football for the majority of the time. My guess is that he sees how united most of the Barcelona players are (since a lot of them came from the same academy), and knows how to make a better squad mentally and make them turn into a hive mind. Flick also didn’t have a striker and good fullbacks in the German team, something he desperately needed that made him look mediocre when it was the team itself.
also one thing , apart from the tactical changes that hansi could provide to this side there is also the refreshment of the locker room energy and mentality . if the xavi stayed most of the players wouldn't perform well mainly because they already tried what xavi taught them to do and with no success especially this season.
Xavi's tactics were very rigid. Players were slow and clueless. Above all, Frenkie de Jong was a big problem. He is a very niche kind of player and despite his qualities, didn''t really solve our problems. He is not a CDM, he can't play as an 8 and he earns 700,000 a week. Flick should sell him and get a proper CDM.
EVEN IF GUARDIOLA JOIN ANY NATIONAL TEAM AS MANAGER IT WILL LOOK VERY BAD FOR PEP, CLUB FOOTBALL AND INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL ARE HEAVEN AND HELL TO MANAGE.
Because we are a club without a plan, strategy or direction and no common sense whose only response to its own bad management seems to be sacking the coach
THIAGO ALCANTARA FROM LA MASIA WAS THE KEY OF HANSI'S BAYERN EVERYONE IS OVERLOOKING THIS, WHEN THIAGO ALCANTARA LEFT NEXT SEASON BAYERN STRUGGLED AGAINST PSG IN UCL AND LOST.
Flick not gonna win anything until barca sign a good quality of players, their current squad is just an average and nothing good enough to compete against Madrid super team
This is you just trying to make yourself feel good about the current situation in the club. We can barely complete the free signing of Guido Rodríguez. Plus you're saying that Gundo who was our best midfielder last season should not play. Bro.... just say the truth.
i hope flick does well but disgusting assholes in barca board just don't get football or have ulterior motives. xavi with his new finds from barca b would have been the ideal coach for this season. i suspect the youngsters will experience a lackluster season
