What makes WestAllen couple different is that Barry has the feeling for only ONE girl since the 1st episode. Even though he has Linda & Patty but his heart still belongs to Iris West. The way he looks at Iris and the ways he reacts. That's the reason why I think he easily moved on from Patty when Iris confessed to him. He has been waiting for that moment. I believes he will choose Iris if Iris confess to him even when he is still in relationship with Patty.
@Khalid Mehmood actually not quite... if he was obsessed with her he would not even attempt to move on with other people. Yes he is very much in love with her but not in a sick way. She was the only constant in his life since forever. He loved her since he was a child and that feeling grew because of their friendship and her support and belief of him regarding his father. They have a deep kind of love but it has a foundation and it evolved from being tested multiple times and still enduring. Its a sweet trope. But not everyone's favorite I guess...

Yeah they are! Not just out of the DCTV but I've never seen a couple on television be this amazing. Thought maybe Merder or Mondler in being iconic but no! They don't have songs for them written by Oscarwinning songwriters
Finally Iris spoke the truth and nothing but the truth...she has always been Iris West-Allen and she has always been Barry's. Eddie may have had her body but Barry had her heart. To me it was evident in that scene at Christmas when Joe lit the Christmas tree...Iris was standing arm in arm with Eddie yet she was breaking her neck to look back at Barry.

One of the best things he's ever said :-) First scene of Iris (1x01 when she walks into his lab), I could immediately sense the chemistry between those two, even if Iris wasn't ready to face it. Throughout the whole season one, there were lots of signs that she had the same feelings, despite her relationship with Eddie. I didn't know anything about the comics yet, but I knew from the very first episode that they were meant to be together. Fortunately she finally realized that in season two and stopped fighting her own feelings. Before I discovered this show, my favorite couple was Catherine and Vincent in "Beauty And The Beast"; but now, no matter how many other shows I watch and sweet couples I see, I still think that WestAllen is the cutest and sweetest and most authentic. I wish Grant Gustin and Candice Patton were together for real ;-)

Husna Mzenga I know this is a kinda old comment but I first discovered this show on vacation in Paris. I pulled it up on Netflix bc everything else was in French. I was only half watching and I actually thought Barry and Iris were dating. It wasn’t until I watched it at home that I realized I was wrong. That says something about chemistry!
he has the most angelic voice I’ve heard....i love westallen sooo much. They are extremely cute together and the way Barry looks at Iris is so romantic.
I think there were moments where the moments were like ill-timed. Hell I have a friend who hates how they initially got together. But you can't deny that chemistry, and they're just on fire in Season 4. And like someone else said, "Damn if they don't make me feel some type of way."
Thank you for this, I loved it from start to finish, smallville Lois and Clark and now this couple are equally my favourite, because of grant and candice and their story, Just an observation, but I loved how season 3 began with Barry, and it ended with Iris. Also, then i see her smile, man that can not be science, stiil one of my favourite scenes it never get old.
My sister and her boyfriend have already decided that when they get married Running home to you will be there first dance song and it works so perfectly for them because a lot of their relationship has been long distance because of his job ❤

Thank you for compiling this and putting the song "Running home to you." I swear in this time of the pandemic, I feel like there's so much nostalgia in the air. That song had me to tears and made me pray and hope for a man to sing to me like that one day.

Rumor is they get married in the 4 part crossover and there an Episode called Girls nights out (before the crossover) which might be Iris's Bachelorette party it a mini arrow crossover with felicity dunno if Thea or Sara or lyla or jessie will show up though would be cool if an Arrow episode will be Barry's Bachelor party with ollie, diggle, cisco, wells (earth 2) and Joe and it a hangover type episode

Did anybody else notice that on the first episode it was a totally different kid watch his mom get murdered but in this flashback the Barry crying is someone else?
