I mean this batman has overcome mind control, beat every single one of his villians on his first night as batman, overcame blood poisoning, has one tapped harley like 3 times, literally defeated a army that was trained not to fear him and then defeated a army that was trained in ways to kill him. He has overcome fear toxins and multiple shots from guns to his weakest points in his armor. He literally got an upgrade to one hit ko 5 people in, like, not even 3 seconds. He's also defeated all of his villains in each game, respectively, in one night thats including finding every single riddler trophy in like an in-game hour or two. This dude would wipe the floor with these low tier criminals
Fr not to mention these street level criminals take on a bloodlusted Flash GL and SUPERMAN but somehow win. Ngl the only hero they seem to love rn i WW. She was the only one who got ANY love in this game. Still shocked they let Superman kill her tbh
I came up with an alternate plot in which Bruce allowed himself to be assimilated by Brainiac deliberately in order to send the Joker part of his psyche to attack Brainiac like a virus. That would've been cool, and could've tied the Arkham stuff together pretty well! I mean, I think so.
All they had to do man was NOT MAKE IT IN THE ARKHAM VERSE. This game could’ve just been a random DC game that was connected to no Arkham content and I would’ve just been fine with whatever happened since it really wouldn’t matter all that much
I think I speak for myself and many other fans of this legendary series when I say this... there are only FOUR Arkham games, Asylum, City, Origins, and Knight, Suicide Squad will be a forgotten memory and anyone who does remember this failure will remember it as a non-canon pipe dream from the new devs at Rocksteady.
Yep. In my canon, after Wayne Manor is blown up, Bruce Wayne retires to a private island and kicks his feet up in relaxation for the rest of his life, leaving Red Hood, Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl to watch over Gotham, he's more than earned it.@@TheBossFighterz
Biggest problem with the story? It's a Suicide squad game where the justice league dies. So you have to balance the comdey expected of the Squad, with the weight the deaths of the League should carry. Unfortunately they never give any league members any real send of or respect in death. I get this is supposed to be haha funny, but it borderline feels like they don't like these characters. The only one who gets a send off is Wonder Woman and that whole scene is dumb.
Whoever was the person who wrote the script of this game involving the absolute destruction of Batman's legacy, really managed to surpass what Lucasfilm, Kevin Smith and Naughty Dog did to Luke Skywalker, He-Man and Joel Miller respectively. After all, Arkham Batman is an infinitely more popular and beloved character than all of the previous examples; because he is one of the best and most well-know incarnations of Batman outside the comics so what they did to him in Suicide Squad is much worse.
Yeah, the death was very polarising and the leaks definitely didn't help... but in my opinion that death was more successful compared to this even if it wasn't executed all that well
@TheBossFighterz better than batman's death in suicide squad? I'll definitely give you that. Even though I hated it and I hated Abby as a character before and after that, at least they wrote it into the story, it had consequences and wasn't just thrown away like batman's death. What I can say from batman's death though is, I expected him to die and I knew he'd be a small part of the game and I'd probably never get to play as batman in a game called suicide squad. Prior to TLOU2 I thought Joel was gonna be a bigger part of it, then they kill him off. I agree tlou2 did the death better but I think I personally hated it more. I think I'm more offended by batman's death than I am Joel. It's less narrative interesting and more of a direct insult to fans.
I dont personally agree for a particular reason. Batman in that scene pretty much gave it his all (sort of) and really tried to beat us. (Also i dont think Batman, braniac or any of the justice league took us seriously considering we were villains whom they have beat before in the past). But for Batman's death, you have to keep in mind, he looks like hell. I mean he got beat by a woman with his gadgets who has nearly killed him in the past, a man with a boomerang and partial speed force, the deadliest marksman in the world and a literal demigod shark man with a freaking mini gun who all ganged up on him. It kind i makes sense why he is a broken man physically speaking. Im just saying, personally i didn't really hav a huge property with his death in all honesty.
Are you people Wack or something? Captain boomerang didn't lie, he didn't intend to cut off flashs finger, that's why he said I just came of. It's in the same way that you're opening a door by pulling on it and the doorknob comes off.
imo i like most of this, But i kind of disagree with batman COMPLETELY breaking out of braniacs control. It is true he has broken out of joker and scarecrows mind stuff in the past. (im only taking arkham games into account), at the same time braniac is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY stronger than both of them, and at the ady batman is still just a human. Him being under control kind of serves as something that makes him more human in my opinion, he is a guy that can defeat all those villians in one night, but against a super powered galaxy destroying monster he is just as helpless as the rest of the justice league.
This ain't canon to Arkham games to bruh, that goofy ahhh joker ain't lore accurate joker and lore accurate harley is too great to be that much disrespectful to her father figure
@@bigjeff9938 yeah, the only part i disagreed with. i'll never forgive naughtydog for making joel die helplessly on the floor at the hands of fucking ABBY
again, i understand i didn't like joel's death in the last of us 2 too. but the point he's making is that atleast joel's death felt like it mattered. like, the story didn't just brush it off as just "lol joel's dead, lets go on an adventure"@@SCP-Dr_Bright
Look man. Everyone keeps saying the same thing about suicide squad where the hero’s eventually break out of mind control and fight together. That defeats the entire purpose of the game. Yes they could have done it better. But Batman breaking out of his mind control is cheap. What I would do to make his death more impactful is at the end he has a glimpse of himself before converting back.
"But Batman breaking out of his mind control is cheap" no it's not, it's literally his thing. if he had a superpower AT ALL it would be resisting mind manipulation, he did it all throughout the arkham games and he did it all throughout the comic books. the only way it would feel "cheap" is if you don't know batman or they handled it in a shitty way (knowing what they did to the story they probably would have fucked it up anyway) they could make him breaking free interesting.
@@McNoob5477 how about no? not everyone NEEDS to die. if they need to throw out parts of batmans character to make this shit work then they shouldn't have done it to begin with.
@@SCP-Dr_Bright first of all they can do it. How I would have done it is instead of making the justice league villains. You are the bad guy. When you win that is not necessarily a good thing. That is how I would have done it. It would have given each character “justice”
@McNoob5477 first of all, I never said they couldn't. Secondly they don't have to kill ALL of the justice league and can still call it "kill the justice league" letting batman help you do so isn't taking away from the story, it might even help the story without needing to make all of the anti heroes into villains.
having to wait what could possibly be months or years for a game people waited 2-3 years for to be a complete package/story does not remove the fact that the story presented now is completely unfinished and horrible. atleast with a game like MGSV, it had both the gimmick excuse and the excuse of kojima leaving. this is just a greedy excuse for an unfinished garbage of a story and a game.
@@victorvinnyvalfierno or hear me out, the justice league we fight in game are clones. I mean each member of the league had their DNA taken from brainiac. Wonder Woman really might only be the real casualty here but might come back through the “cloning” process. It’s a huge theory I believe everyone needs to look into. I believe rocksteady knows what’s going on and possibly what they want to do with the game. I know the story telling throughout the seasons may take time but I feel as if it will end (if it makes it that long and doesn’t die by hate/critism) with saving the original members of the league.
@@nacho_dank7691 Yeah, I've heard these theories before but I think it is apparent how the devs feel about batman by the way they wrote him and well as the way they wrote the suicide squad members, particularly Harley. That's why I think its unfixable.
