Why BeamNG Got So Popular 

RU-vidrs Like WhyBeAre, CrashBoomPunk, CrashDriven, SmashChan, Neological, Jelly, MuYe, CarMighty and more play a big role in making BeamNG the Popular game it is today. Without them, the Game wouldn’t be as famous and the BeamNG devs wouldn’t be as motivated to update the game and make it the game it is today. They are truly The Golden RU-vidrs of the BeamNG Community.

having owned the game for more than 8 years, it's been an amazing journey throughout the constant updates and improvements the devs have executed. beam never fails to impress me 👍

It is so great how realistic this game is and how every part of a car is simulated in great detail. You can overheat your clutch by letting it slip too much, you have simulated brake temperature, engine/oil/coolant temperature etc. When flipping your car over the engine will burn oil until there's no oil left and the engine locks up. I could write a whole book about stuff like that. So great!

One great thing about BeamNG compared to most other games is the freedom. I mean sometimes, you're sick of driving a race car and just want to drive an old SUV :)) September 2, 2023 7:24AM

i have over 730 hours on beamng its 100% my favourite game ever and seeing it change from not the best graphics to many updates and the game looking stunning is amazing

As a BeamNG player spending 6750+ hours, I can definitely say "You have to play BeamNG, or you'll regret for sure". I hope this game could spread more onto Japanese gamers. (like me) Edit: Last day I reached 7000 hours lol

BeamNG is fkin OP. The online multiplayer (even tho its a mod) got me some of the most fun I've ever had in a videogame. Driving is fun, crashing is fun, game is just excellent and gets better with every update.

I don't really expect BeamNG to hit No1 on most racing games tierlists though. It's a sandbox driving game made by a non AAA studio so it'll most definietly make the lists just not no1.

This Game Just Carried my gaming hobby from 2013 to now. I bought the Alpha Test Access back then. Its an incredible Story and im happy about every update and they added VR!!!! Have to try it...

Recent update on 0.30 there is currently limited VR support in testing branches

BeamNG is awesome. I have 241 hours as of today and man, I can't tell you how much I enjoy this game. I drift in it, I sometimes just drive around, sometimes crash some cars, offroad, drag race, reach unbelievable speeds in a car that's never meant to reach those speeds, play around in sceniaros, drive around on the bus routes and many more. One downside, it needs a lot of pc power to run flawlessly, but apart from that it's a prefect game in my opinion. And I've been playing it before I purchased it but I saved up enough money to but it because man, the developers deserve it.

Its kinda funny that the VR point got invalidated in less than 3 weeks (although its a bit rough just now)

Currently I’ve got 1000 hours in the game and it is by far my absolut favourite game. The dev team is fantastic as well and I am really looking forward to all of the future updates! Great video beam driver :)

I'd say Crash Frontier and FrIzErIs made the game popular through their S tier films like Highway Hell and seconds from disaster.

Great video! I did not get started until 2021 with BeamNG, but I did play the demo on a laptop Celeron onboard graphics, and it had to be played in a little window. But I was really impressed with the physics.

I've been playing beamng since the first tech demo. It's amazing to see how far it's come for me it's the ultimate simulator

I remember playing Rigs of Rods for the majority of my childhood and when Beam was announced I was ecstatic, even more so when I learned that the old OG modders like Nadeox would be joining the development team.

Ever played BeamNG Drive and thought: "Wait, that impressive tech demo misses game?" I know I did. Many years ago, but I don't see indiation the game has been at any point added to it.

I grew up with this game. It is amazing, and it will forever be in my heart

BeamNG is literally the absolute best vehicle "game"/simulation ever to exist, I've played them all, I'm 42 and started back on Atari, Intelivision, and stand-up, played everything on console and PC from NES to Xbox One and PS4 and again, PC (current, even though I still have an OG Xbox One)... nothing can compete with it as a whole, regardless if it's a "relaxed" car game like Forza Horizon (absolute garbage game), Forza Motorsport, to sims like Assetto Corsa.... nothing comes close to what you can do with this "game". And what's even crazier, and I don't think any game has ever really done this, but BeamNG has continued to increase it's player count each and every month and year... I literally don't know of any game that has increased it's player base and never had drops, people just keep finding out about Beam and buying it.... I even streamed myself rock crawling in a custom truck I had built up to my DayZ buddy who's in his 60s and he was like "ok, this looks incredible, what's it's name again?" and immediately bought it lol... he's known I've been playing it for years now, any time a server has to reset on DayZ, I'm usually popping in there to finish up a custom build and then leaving it open to continue playing DayZ with him 😅

Proud to call myself an og beamng enjoyer- I was in CBPs first 300K subscribers and have seen it completely blow up recently

I remember I was an invited member and used to make maps for Rigs of Rods back in the day. Many memories...

The beamng is a perfect game: a well executed intresting kinda unique idea which has other cool features to and other than the idea itself with devs who listen to community and give them complete freedom over what they can add to the game with use of mods. They added minivans with mods planes even a functioning multiplayer mode and I feel like beamng if the devs keep up with the quality and work. Will be the most succesful game for decades to come. And I would love to see that happen as I m myself a beamng die hard fan

I would definitely use VR if they added it, the interior views suck to use. Actually, they might have just recently added it? I thought I heard something about it.

This was the game i dreamed of when i was a kid. With all the monster truck stuff made by other guys, i can realize my dream of driving one.

future beamng is going to be great, coming from a player with 1300+ hours, and have been playing for 6 years, this is easily the best car game

I struggle to remember the difference between a crankshaft and a camshaft, but this is still one of my favorite games.

Good thing about the newest update is very important (if you know the VR thing,then you will be happy that it is now back "note that it is still in work in progress so it is moved to the VULKAN API and that launch button now is currently next to the MAIN launch button which could mean that they are close to finishing the VULKAN")

I bought beam NG in 2016, right before the Italy update, I think I was 10 at the time and I now have 1800 hours in the game, staring with only crashes and then moving on to more pro grade motorsports and touge and drifting too

I've been playing Beam NG Drive ever since the free download, it was a blank track and a white truck. That's it. They asked for donations to keep working on the project. I was amazed by the physics engine. Amazing game.

TIL, Rigs of Rods is both FOSS and still actively developed. I knew it was the predecessor to BeamNG, but didn't know those extra details.

i have 1300 hours in singleplayer beamng and like over 2000 hours in multiplayer and i still love this game i'm playing this game since 2015

I got the game a couple months after its launch on steam, since then I've put about 500 hours into it and loved watching the game grow and evolve with the community along with it

Unreal graphics with beamng would be insane, and my pc would explode, but I do think beamng now looks really good, and they said they were gonna add raytraceing at some point in time. (I think)

7:29 playing the career mode that is in BeamNG, it does seem mildly similar to a TDU2 type thing. albeit the version is not fleshed out yet, but i can foresee it being very similar to it

Just need tire temp and wear, plus dynamic terrain with rubber building on tarmac or ruts in dirt.

Tbh I really can't wait for the future of this game, who knows it's gonna be an AAA game in the future
