Here let me explain it for you: Bed explodes in the nether because of extreme nether heat combined with player's body heat, the bed can't take the heat and exploded. Since ender is located in the space somewhere near the asteroid belt, the bed received a hard pressure from lack of oxygen combined with the pressure of the player's body which makes it explode

Heres why they explode in the nether beds probably divide by 0 and explode trying to make a new magical space of air your player can somehow resurrect themselves from. From what I remember, it's because spawn points don't work correctly in the Nether and The End, so instead of fixing it Notch just made them explode.

This video shows no reason why they explode, what I am thinking is. Players were sleeping in the nether so they will be able to make houses and live in the nether, so the mobs make it so that beds explode, so they cant respawn in the nether. Like this comment so others see it. For non video purposes, they most likely explode so the overworld will be the only inhabitable place in minecraft, because it will be reasonable, because Mojang doesn't want people living in Hell or the End. Hell because that is just wrong, and the end because its supposed to be a boss battle, not a village.

Actually, I think it's due to the lack of resources in the nether. If your portal is destroyed, you have to re-light it to go back. If the obsidian gets damaged, you're in BIG trouble if you can't replace it. It's your only way back, so you can get stuck. There is literally no other way to leave. You can just die then respawn outside, but if your respawn is inside the nether... you can see the problem.

Well in 1.16 bed explosions will be really useful in finding netherite... so whatever the reason is, it'll be a really useful aspect of "INTENTIONAL GAME DESIGN".
