Roy Wood Jr. has been a comedian for yeaaaars. He even had his own radio show at one point where he did a lot of prank calls with Trey Williamson. He's hilarious. I used to listen to him when I was younger as a kid and in my early teens and I'm only 24.

Comics version Luke has been leading his own chapter of the Avengers for years. As well as done a crap load of other non-Harlem related stuff in between that and moon-lighting in Fantastic 4. He even retired from the game for a while. I think he is referring specifically to the TV series.
