Hey guys! Slightly different style of video for me, but I've been wanting to make this for a while and had a lot of fun with it. Bluey is one of my favorite shows to watch with my daughter, and I wanted to explain why it's so much better than you might expect.. starting with my personal favorite episode.
Let me know what you think of it in the comments down below, I put around 24 hours into the entirety of this video so any compliments/suggestions/etc down below are much appreciated!
It took me 5 different times to upload this since RU-vid wanted to copyright literally everything, but I'm still content with the final result! Sorry I couldn't show it all.
Thanks for checking it out!
Also, credits to user MicJaiy for the Bluey Lofi Beat at the end. • Bluey Theme Tune (Lo-f...

I find it great that Bandit is represented as Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity. Both Bluey and Bingo see their dad as a source of joy. And we see the caring and joyful nature Bandit gives to her girls in every episode

Bluey has become a major comfort show despite me being 19. I lost my mom in June of 2022, only 2 weeks after my high school graduation. I’ve been having a hard time with accepting that she isn’t here anymore. My grieving process has been a little weird. So watching bluey and seeing chili being a cool mom brought me a lot of comfort. I was very similar to Bingo as a child but with a little more separation anxiety. I always wanted my parents to be around me but eventually grew out of it. But anyways, i saw Sleepytime a few weeks ago. I was going through some stuff so i of course watched Bluey to comfort myself. And i remember hearing Chili tell Bingo “remember i’m always here for you, even if you can’t see me” and immediately started crying. It was something i seriously needed to hear, i know my moms always gonna be here for me. Even when shes not here. I was raped by 100 gang members. When I Junko Furuta turned down a boy who liked me I doomed myself to a life of pain and abuse. One day I was walking home from school, 4 men kidnapped me. They quickly took me to their personal torture chamber and subjected me to repeated rapes and torture. Even more disturbingly, they made my family aware of my situation leaving them terrified that they would be killed if I tried to escape. As the days stretched on, the men forced me to eat maggots and drink my own urine. Sometimes they would set live firecrackers inside of me. However, despite the things that were happening to me I never gave up hope. One day as they were torturing me for the umpteenth time, I manage to slip away and make my way to the police station. But sadly as soon they discovered me, they took me back and inflicted even more damage upon me. In the end, my injuries cost me my life. My body was discovered in a concrete drum years later.

I tear up (okay I basically lose it) at basically every single episode of Bluey. This show is absolutely wild. I get frustrated because sometimes I don't even understand why I'm crying at first. I also think Floppy and Bingo are symbolic of parent and child. - Floppy "hatches from the egg" and the first thing she sees is Bingo, just like the chick and mother chicken. - Floppy wants to leave Bingo's side and join the other rabbits, mirroring when your child grows up and leaves the nest. Bingo lets her go but is upset to see her go. - Floppy still comes back to help Bingo when she needs it while getting back into the shell because (in healthy circumstances) you never really age out of family. After you "let your kids go" they've not truly left you. It's a funky parrallel while Bingo herself is obviously the baby growing up, but it might just go to show that you never really stop growing up, and even when you reach adulthood and have kids of your own, there are still times where you have to be "a big girl". 💜

It doesn’t matter what mood I’m in, this episode always makes me cry and puts me at peace. It’s my favorite episode of Bluey, and probably my favorite episode of all of TV. 8:32 And there it is, the tears. Just that part of the music gets to me everytime. Also you mentioning how Bingo is more mature than Bluey, despite being younger, is an extremely relatable thing for me. Being the younger sister, I never went against orders (at least not intentionally), while my brother would just sometimes completely ignore doing stuff he was told to do.

This episode and The Weekend make me so emotional. I dont know if it's the disappointment that Bingo feels that Bandit didn't see the walking leaf, or the wonder of the big itself... but it makes me tear up every single time I watch it.

I love The Weekend so much. Bingo and the walking leaf is one of my favorite scenes of the entire series. And the part at the end where Bingo tells Bandit that he didn't come see the walking leaf make me tear up a little, too. But I loooove in that scene when Bluey tries to help Bingo feel better by showing her her doll and pointing out her "sushi shoes".

Thank you for this. I've got a seven year old daughter so Bluey speaks to me on many levels, and this video was a well-delivered celebration of one of my favourite episodes. While I was watching, something occurred to me for the first time despite having seen Sleepytime on a number of occasions: the space narrative is working on two levels. Floppy is the moon, which revolves around earth in the same way that earth revolves around the sun - so the mother / daughter relationship is being mirrored. This is made even clearer when Floppy first hatches out of the moon, and the first thing she sees in Bingo; just like the chick hatching out of her egg in the story at the start. So in Bingo's dream, she's both the daughter - stepping out to do her own thing, but learning that Bingo will always be there when she needs her - and the mother, watching Floppy move on and make her own friends and family, but learning that she won't be gone forever (represented when Floppy and the others come back to help Bingo at the end). My god, what a fantastic piece of storytelling.

The symbolism in this episode is amazing. The solar system represents various aspects of the family, as well as things going on irl. Bingo hatches from earth, third planet from the sun. When we see the already hatched egg planet, we cut to bluey. Then we see mercury at the end, 1st planet. Closest to the sun. Unhatched. That’s brilliant to me because it’s so subtle. If you don’t pay attention (like me..) you probably won’t catch that this is likely in reference to a miscarriage Chilli had before bluey. Which the kids know about. Everyone being a planet is so cool to me. Chilli being the center piece is too good. Without the sun, we wouldn’t be here at all. We need it’s warmth and light. Bingo would not have existed without her mother, and she needs Chilli in her life currently, and always will. this might just be my interpretation, but i’d like to note on now the sun is a star. Stars burn out eventually. The sun supports all the planets in our solar system. We don’t know how things will be so far into the future. But if the sun were to burn out now, we’d all die. We’re lost without it. We don’t know how Bingo might feel in the future (we have an idea, i mean chilli is awesome). But we know that if she lost her mother right now, she’d be lost. It would be really really hard on her. I love this episode i love space aesthetics i love the symbolism it’s so good. And the untouched glass of water on the side table is great.

For me, the scene that broke me was Bingo saying goodbye to Floppy. Even though they are not real, our stuffed animals were our best friends growing up and there comes a time where we have to say goodbye, but we always wonder what will happen to them, and if they're next owner will take care of them and love them like we did. I am not gonna lie, I absolutely ugly cried when that scene popped up.

I couldn't believe it was coming from this show. I knew it was a great show but this episode was art. I couldn't stop taking about the music and what it meant to me. How beautiful it was, how complicated it was, what it was like to learn it and play it on the most beautiful music hall I had ever performed in. I played it for my 3 kids. My sons just sat there and listened completely still and my daughter danced around to it. It was a great family moment.

I want to show Sleepytime to as many of my friends as possible because it seems everyone has their own reaction to when Chilli speaks as the Sun. My little sister cries & said "I miss Eli" (our brother who died at age 26) It makes me cry because I am reminded of my dog who died from old age, then of The Land Before Time because it's almost the exact same words Littlefoot's mother says to him before she dies. It makes my boyfriend cry because he loves his mommy, but has attachment issues. Bluey is important and special.

Some of my brain nuggets. It's not only the family, looks like every parent around them are completely okay with the way bluey's parents raise their children and their antics. Many episodes in which the neighbor's absolutely give their 200% whenever they are involved. Lucky's dad birthing bingo in Dad Baby, Judo's mum helping the kids in Ragdoll, Stripe marrying his brother in that one episode and so on! I love love the whole world of Bluey!

"Rain" is my favorite as it speaks to a very specific feeling of childhood for me. Also the way that once the rain starts at the beginning of the episode, no words are heard. Even the title card isn't read aloud. The parallels to Bluey trying to block the endless stream and Chili doing the same while trying to stop the endless persistence of Bluey trying to find some way to dam up the water no matter what her mom says about the mess and Chili ultimately giving in and realizing, it's okay to just go get soaked and have fun again. IDK, I just love it. Similar reason why I loved "Sleepytime" as well. Great video and great thoughts. Really enjoyed it!

My favorite episode is rain! I wonder why no one talks about it, but it spoke to me. All the visual elements, the music, the way bluey doesn't give up on what seems like a stupid pastime, and chilli supporting bluey after seeing her work so hard. It's got so many more elements to it that makes it my favorite, but this will do enough for now. My second favorite is sleepytime, and then space.

Bluey has been an emotional comfort show for me, in all the best ways. Growing up my family wasn't a proper one, I was forced to grow up fast and be the parent to my own parents. It's honestly to the point where I'm terrified of having my own children because of my own trauma and I don't want my family trying to be near them This show has helped me live vicariously through Bluey and Bingo, imaging both having chili and bandit as parents but also seeing myself as parenting my possible child like they do Sleepytime honestly still breaks me, it's so amazing. Just the feeling of being loved and safe even when you going through something painful(saying goodbye to fluffy) knowing you have still have that warmth "no matter what I'll always be there" is so heartlifting. It made me really think, this is how I want my kids to feel if I ever do have them

This became one of my favorite Bluey episodes on 1st experience simply for including Holst. I was getting ready to go into town & as I went to say bye to my brothers I caught the closing moments where it shows each setting in the house. I remember pausing to point out to their mum that Jupiter was playing, then giving a brief explanation on what I was on about. I was a couple minutes late for what I was going to, which usually I'd hate, but because I had this stress reliever playing in my head I didn't mind for once. Watched it all the way through almost as soon as I got home & was in tears from how beautifully the episode is by several aspects. Now I'll always have both a comfort show & comfort song in one place if I ever feel overwhelmed.

Bingo is my favorite character because I feel so seen by her. She's sensitive, always willing to compromise, and struggles with setting boundaries and saying no. Dance mode is basically an episode about consent as bingo's is being disrespected through the entire episode with chili saying bandit can have her fries, chili begging for one of her dance modes, bandit paying her off for her last dance mode, and bluey just deciding to buy the yes no button with bingo's money. Yoga ball and nits also highlight how she has trouble saying no and how bluey often talks over her or for her. Also in butterflies when judo convinces bluey to just abandon her and the game, that's happened to me. So called friends suddenly deciding that it would be really funny to just stop talking to me during a field trip with literally no explanation or reason for why

After college for horticulture, I plan on moving to Australia (and I would be lying if I said that this show helped me , in some part, come to that decision) This show has truly helped me see what I want to be as a parent, but this episode accentuates what I really want. I want to be that sun for my son or daughter, and I am slightly defeated in knowing that my child will immediately go with their birth mum as that figure. It may seem selfish that I would want to take that connection away between child and mother, and give it to myself but every time I watch this episode there's a deep sadness in my heart, a yearning to be that, to be that sun. I am willing to live in poverty for most of my adult life, taking the bare minimum to survive and putting the rest away just so I can help my children be happy.

For so long I'd told myself that I'd never be a parent because I was so afraid to become the mom that I had, and I wouldn't want to subject anyone to a life like that. Thanks to Bluey, I feel that I can be different and break a cycle of abuse. I want to be able to help someone navigate the world and grow up in the best version that I can possibly offer them. When things go wrong, I'd like to be the one there to comfort them and make them feel that things will be alright. Enough about me though, I don't think you're selfish at all. In fact, I think you have a selfless desire to give and I for one find that very admirable. I don't know you or your circumstances, by I bet that any kid you'd have would be one lucky person. I haven't watched the whole series yet, but my favorite episode so far is The Weekend (which is a lot like Sleepytime.) The way it captures the innocent, wholesome, almost kind of magical vibe that a weekend would have for a child is just amazing to me. I never personally experienced that, sadly. My weekends were always stressful and the exact opposite of how it was portrayed in the show because my parents would always be fighting and yelling (I'll spare the details.) So, seeing Bluey portray the way a weekend is supposed to be spent with a loving family ~not a *perfect* family, though. Just a realistically loving one, since Bandit doesn't hear Bingo and misses the leaf~ was such an eye opener. As much as it made me cry over the fact that I never had that, I'm glad I saw that episode. Thanks to Bluey, I finally know what a healthy, loving family looks like. This show is godsent. Not only does it teach kids lessons, it teaches everyone good life lessons we all need. (Parents should be taking notes while watching Bluey!)

This review made me appreciate Sleepy Time even more! I love this show! Their episodes are just funominal! It's trificult to explain how good this show is because it may have been attended by kids but this show can also be for young adults and even parents! I'm a teenager and I'm in love with this show! My favorite episodes are Sleepy Time (obviously), Rain, The Creek, Camping, Hospital, Unicorse, Facey Talk, BBQ, and Keepy Uppy. They are all just so cool! And I love the music in these shows too, in some episodes, it's calming and really wants you to shed a tear or two, and others are just a bop that gives you a fun time while watching the show. Bluey as a show is so well-written and original that not enough people can recognize the potential. I love the animators behind it all too as an inspired artist who wants to draw animations someday. There was even a moment Bluey has a dream about how Bluey was made. And it shows so much dedication to these episodes! There are even channels that make fan episodes (And I'm not talking about the fake elsagate ones. The REALLY GOOD kind) I'm also new to your channel and I love your review. and that one picture where Bingo is sleeping is so funny. Have a great day/night mates!

I keep telling my wife every time we watch this show that Bingo is my favorite character in this show. Watching her grow and demonstrate maturity beyond her years is impressive. She even knows what perfect means! It's "really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really, good!" Haha!

Bandit will always be my #1, but Bingo is definitely my second favorite. The Bingo episodes usually are the best though!
