BMW X5 E53 - the daddy of them all and still the best in show. Love mine to bits. It will take a lot of dollars to tear it away from me!

If your interested in an e53 must be an enthusiast, as an enthusiast it’s not the acceleration we look at e53 but it’s the style, the interior, the handling is still better than other X5s, reliability for some versions of E53, towing, and rarity.

Ok, but to be honest Cayenne of the first generation is better in handling as well per my opinion. Just try both in very good condition, if you don’t agree , that’s all about personal preference. But try it.

I have an Alpina 4.6is

It is actually only the 4.6is with the Alpina varient of the engine. 4.8is engine is different and was all bmw.

@@leethomas769apparently the research I’ve done this morning says it’s not completely an alpina, it’s a bmw engineered version with similarities to the alpina but not exactly the same.

@@ldsgarage7142 where did you find that information as I have never found anything that mentions that. Even found a service notice from bmw that stated the engine as Alpina.
