This movie made me realize how dope Piccolo was and still is as a character. Dude pulls up, knowing he’ll probably do next to no damage, and STILL kept going. Also his entrance was funny but badass lol
One of the scariest things about Broly in this movie was how in the abandoned city he literally would just bust out of a random building right next to you.
The call back in Super to this moment when we see Goku pull out the Kitchen Sink for Kale was incredible. She was moving like they were playing the Ultra Instinct theme for her.
@@sprm-akeem8510 Bruh Irony is both them got launched into the sun by a Kamehameha wave. But I'm going with Broly, ain't nobody just standing through a Super Saiyan Kamehameha with no damage, Cooler still had to use some ki to buff his body to charge through it meaning he wouldn't have come unscathed from it had he not had the ki.
Literally no. He talked to aliens then taunted them about returning to their planet then blows the planet up. It happened directly after Goku talks about round 2.
@@TheReZisTLust Ooh joy, another one on the spectrum. No, not literally, you are right. Happy now? So he says a couple of words. Compared to any other Dragonball character during a fight, the guy is silent.
I swear, Broly GAVE them that win at the end. He looked at the remaining time in the movie and just said "Ight, y'all got this. I'm too strong, that was my bad. Now go back to Earth and beat Cell. I'll be back in like 7yts, give or take."
Bro another beat down the whole dbz community will never forget was the videl vs spopovich fight now that was one of the most brutal beat downs of all time
until the Moro vs Z-Fighters get animated, this one will remain as one of the best arsewhooping of all despite me not liking the story of the movie and Z Broly himself.
Fun fact, when broly double clotheslines trunks and gohan there's a quick frame change where he turns his head and headbutts gohan for what i can only assume is pettiness 🤣
This man: -Had Vegeta shook -Pretended to blast innocent people only to blow up their planet instead -Bodied TF outta the Z-Fighters -And jumped up & down on Goku like he was a damn trampoline?? Nah, Broly was a whole-ass menace. He WAS that nigga fr.
As much as I love the new Broly. Old Broly was unmatched, I felt like he was more evil than Freeza at times with those cold lines. Bro literally was about to get jumped and laughed before it happened, what kind of psychotic shit is that. The man asked how much Goku loved his son!!!! It’s just old Broly was one cold mf and I miss that honestly. Just a bit
Veggie's the only one who knows all the stories and recognizes the threat, where everyone else just felt "very strong guy here". He was like this with Beerus too; the only guy losing his shit while everyone else is cracking jokes in ignorance of who they're talking to. He's also just been hard-proven that his form of super saiyan is commoner shit and that LSSJ inspired those legends among people who potentially themselves go blondmode.
It's something that people tend to forget with Vegeta: he's damn crafty when he wants to be. It's how he fine-angled the entirety of the Frieza Corps, abusing Zenkai to take advantage of when he got caught and just throw the dragonballs one way, then tun the other. It's how he abused Babidi's mind control to unlock SSJ2 for him, only to then turn around and reject any and all orders except for what he wanted to do to begin with. He does use the info he's got... It's just, when he KNOWS there's no way, he knows there's no way.
@nnightkingj exactly. Vegeta talks about pride and prince of all sayians only to cower in fear while goku, a commoner and two halfblood sayians still pull up regardless. Seems to me they have more pride in being sayians than the actual prince
I will never get over how as Paragus is telling Vegeta Broly’s backstory, they show Broly clapping Goku and Gohan in the background. They did not need to do them like that💀
Yeah, the writers of the movie really wrote themselves into a corner with how strong they made Broly. Literally the only thing that could have killed him was a plot device, which is what they gave Goku, otherwise they were all dead.
“Built like Bane but moves like Spiderman” that’s the best and simultaneously scariest description yet, but also the most accurate. Broly was too damn big to be doing all those extra acrobatics
@@thejcaesar42but his physique looks like Bane, not Hulk. Hulk is a box shaped green muscle. Bane has the swole like Ronnie Coleman. Bet Broly screams out yeah buddies while lifting planets.
7:57 That gulp sound effect along with Goku's face has me wheezing. Man's was contemplating his entire life's journey up to this point and for the first time, he's wondering if it was worth it.
@@mypheelzbut who is comparing fusions what the hell loll? Even than Vegeto fusion doesn’t last long and Broly still fought 5 ppl . I imagine if Goku and Vegeta fused in this movie It would be a match .
they really decided to write a movie based on the premise that the villain this time is just way stronger than all the heroes, and then forgot to figure out a way to beat him
I wanna say yes buutttt.....no cap cooler got him beat on that one. That man cooler really stared down a Kamehameha and was like, "Mmmm yea that shit look mid" and dove straight through it just to slide Goku in his face😭😭
@@justina2225 If I throw a sig move at someone and its more convenient for them to Micheal Phelps it instead of taking the time to just dodge, it just might be time to hang up the gloves 😂😂😔
@@chrisbreezy7925 Valid, but take it like this, this man Broly walked to goku like luffy did one his walks to Arlong Park and Franky house. He didn’t just want the fade, he wanted that lean cut!!😭🤦🏿
Broly's one of the coolest concepts to come out of the movies. The idea that the super saiyan form Goku discovered is actually just an uncommon saiyan technique, and that Broly is the actual Legendary Super Saiyan is so damn rad!! Just wish the character got more fleshed out. Deserved the W. Congrats on 44k btw!
There's an establishing shot that implies a fair amount of time passed with Vegeta fighting Broly solo off screen, if it's any consolation. So you can argue he lasted longer than anyone else, and without a zenkai from a sentsu bean.
@Waddle. jpg There is a scene directly after Trunks gets uppercutted into the stratosphere, iirc, where it pans out to comet kamori closing in on the planet. It's ambiguous how much time passed during this establishing shot. It's also worth noting that Vegeta lands the only strike in the whole movie before the ending that disturbs Broly's posture (kicks him in the shoulder). Vegeta's punch also had the same impact as Goku's knee earlier in the movie. It's actually pretty decent fight IQ. Broly dodges the first strike, and Vegeta catches him with a flowing combo while he's moving, and then after he lowers his posture to absorb the kick, goes for an uppercut to the chin, which would have been a pretty devastating hit against someone caught so flat footed. But it's Broly.
Worst part is that Goku, Gohan and Trunks had to have gotten a Zenkai boost in the middle there and they STILL got cooked like it was nothing again right after that. Not even the Saiyan hacks could get them that W.
@@mcbdllc2848 I mean it worked for Cell and he was even stronger then them. Also I think Vegeta got a boost in the manga during the fight with Black but I might be pulling that out my ass
According to many people online, they stopped getting boosts after they achieved super sayian. Many people I talked to mentioned that during the Android saga everyone was getting their asses handed to them left and right so they stopped getting the buffs because at some point their training would have been rendered a waste of time. This also happens supposedly after the androids are absorbed and the time before the cell games starts which was around the time Akira wanted to stop handing out buffs for them losing and getting healed. It makes sense from a writing and reader perspective but it doesn't from a lore perspective.
@moviemaker2011z I don't know where the idea that they stopped getting them comes from, it's not always mentioned but it's often implied. Hell the saiyans get massive power ups during the Tournament of power, which wasn't even an hour long.
But I have to agree about the ending of this movie. It annoyed me how they couldn't scratch him when they were completely healed, but somehow had enough energy to transfer to Goku for him to beat Broly. If they had that much energy, that means they were pretending to be half-dead and just set there watching Goku get his ass beat.
You gotta talk about the Android 13 movie too, Vegeta had a great pull up in that one and I think it's worth mentioning that Super 13 straight up punched Goku in the balls and took him out of Super Saiyan
Oh yeah not gonna lie I had to do a double take on that scene. I was just thinking "no way they went for a crotch shot on our main man." Damn sure did.
Broly asking goku how much he loved his son and having Vegeta on his knees for the VAST majority of the fight was crazy to me as a kid he was villainous even for dragon ball 😂
1:06 no one ever mentions it, ive been saying it for years, broly produces that ki blast, FROM HIS CHEST. His power is so overwhelming he doesn't even need to use his hands, he can just let that shit loose
That's his energy barrier thing he expands it in short burst he can demolish entire areas with it and then condense it into a small ball that gets bigger as it approaches
@@mcbdllc2848 I know what it is in effect, but the point is that he generated it from his chest, and that wasn't his shield, or it would spread over him evenly in a sphere. It was ki blast shot out of his chest, hands free. It doesn't function the same as the shield, it functions the same as the small ki blasts he throws that zigzag all over place
It’s like they got done making the best DBZ villain and was halfway through when they thought, “ohhh right, the good guys have to win, quick think of something” they did Broly soooooo dirty. That’s the problem with making OP villains, they gotta fall to some bs.
Both versions of Broly are my favorite DB antagonists for complete opposite reasons lmao. No one ever talks about just how agile this dude is for being a tank. Even in the second movie where he's in SSJ for most of it, he's still towering over everyone and pulling out handstand drop kicks with a twist just to humiliate the entire cast consisting of Gohan, a regular ass human girl, and two literal children, all for 45 minutes straight before the ghost of Goku stepped in. Absolutely got the dawg in him.
Oh no not the "Ghost goku" thing again lmao how is he a ghost when everyone can see him standing there? Even Broly sees him and confirms his presence. He came to help for real, he wasnt a ghost.
Agreed on the ending. Should've been something similar to Buu or there should've been another transformation or literally anything else. But them suddenly getting Goku back to 100% even though he was getting annihilated before and then ONE SHOTTING Broly was the biggest main character bullshit so far in the series to me both Canon and not.
Imo it would've been a good opportunity for Gohan to go SSJ2 while everybody else was out cold. They could've boxed for a while, then when the comet was getting close, SSJ2 Gohan could drop a gut punch on Broly right in the stomach where he got the injury as a baby. Just like how Goku did except none of this energy-giving nonsense. Then Goku wakes up and instant transmissions everybody outta there. Gohan gets a concussion from Broly's fist and forgets that he did that shit so that we still get the Cell Games insanity.
I needed that laugh, homie. 😂 Thanks. What you said was 💯% facts. All of it. That's why original Broly will always be my favorite DBZ villain of all-time. Keep up the outstanding work.
Gohan just got a movie and Vegeta had Super: Broly but they need a movie together. Watching Vegeta watch Gohan get folded reminded me how underrated their relationship is
Vegeta and Gohan is of the most underutilized relationships in DB. Especially given how much time they spend together throughout Z. You can tell Vegeta develops a respect for him that's different than Goku.
Gohan getting training from Vegeta would be awesome. Piccolo and Goku are both too soft on him sometimes, and Gohan really needs to get his head in the game and realize his potential. Can't always just wait until AFTER your friends start dying.
in an alternate universe Broly got hit into Naruto-verse & fell into a chasm where cloud village would one day be. Seeing the 8-tail, he hit him with the lariat. He then was worshiped as god & his techniques got passed down overtime. He made the cloud village.
Hey, your videos are one of the only things making me laugh right now, going through some really terrible stuff right now. Thanks so much for making this content.
