So let me get this straight: Bruce Wayne ended up getting his identity exposed as Batman, then activated knightfall protocol, which would make it appear that he died in an explosion, Taking in his place A Demon bat to continue to terrorize the criminals of Gotham thanks to scarecrow’s fear toxin. While Robin, Redhood, and Nightwing would continue to fight crime without him. Only to reveal to everyone that he’s still alive and join the justice league all because Superman asked him to. Did I get that right? No seriously, if I got anything wrong then please correct me. If I did get everything right, then just…………let me put it this way. I remember after beating Arkham Knight that I was just sitting there, sad, but also happy. Thinking this was not only one of the best endings to a video game (especially a Batman one.) but also to a video game series (again, especially a Batman one). And now to find out that was all pointless, meant absolutely nothing whatsoever. No wonder the founders of Rocksteady left to form their own studio.

Disappointed that the Batman Experience didn’t showcase all of the characters. Characters such as Hush, Calendar Man, Azrael, Mr Hammer and Sickle, Black Mask, Bat Family??? Gordon? His own parents?? Even Aaron Cash? Penelope Young who had a huge role in Asylum? Quincy Sharp? All of the possessed Jokers, even Scarface the puppet and Lucius Fox? Nyssa? Simon Stagg? These characters had roles within the games so they should’ve had their own cutouts.

I’m still headcanoning that the Justice League was formed before the events of Arkham City and after Joker died Superman payed Bruce a visit and they have a talk in a cafe and Bruce started to keep his distance from the league when he was dealing with people infected with jokers blood especially his own worried that when Joker takes over he will use his resources to exterminate the league which is why he didn’t call them for help

This whole following the Arkhamverse series, when they they've done an animated movie about The Suicide Squad infiltrating as an event prequel to the first game, these four included to the team and acting like they've done it before, expect King Shark who at the time looked more like a mutant than an Atlantian, and was part of the half that died. Either they plan to use a multiverse plot to bail themselves from this lack of continuity, or they really just don't care.

This game got the "somehow Palpatine returned" treatment. Couldn't they just make a game set in an alternate universe? No, they just brought back a batman who had already finished his cycle, leaving his allies defending the city, just to kill him off in the most pathetic way there was to kill a great character.

there’s something bittersweet about the arkham verse lore being retold in canon like a silly comic book story maybe this is nitpicky but almost all the details are spot on, except it claims Hugo Strange was the one pulling the strings in arkham city. and ra’s al ghul was just doing his own thing. so either that’s the only detail that got lost in translation, or someone developing the game didn’t understand arkham city
