Nice performance! Your voice needs no autotune. I have Apollo twin in home studio, & Apollo Solo for mobile & remote capture, where it really shines. Most people should skip the Solo. On it, don’t expect more than 1 solid pre like a Manley Voxbox or a Neve 1073 on each of the 2 channels, and a legacy UA compressor, before you max out that single SHARC chip.

Twin x quad or duo? I’ll probably end up having someone else mix/master but I’d ideally like to mix myself one day and I’ll for sure be mixing as best as I can for demos. Tbh I probably need quad but I guess I’m trying to convince myself that the duo will be good enough. Just not sure how many plugins I’ll be using at once and such
A Quad. I own a Duo and I max out with doing Half UAD Half Waves. I will eventually upgrade to the x4 but the Duo is still very limited if you’re really into mixing
@@user-lo9hj4tu1f depends on what all you do, but for me, ima producer/musician so the extra outputs on the Quad benefit me alongside mixing my music. I would sincerely go for the Quad. But what I am working with right now is a Duo and I just got a Quad PCIE card on Reverb which definitely opened a lot of doors for me. I’m now more in a 75% UAD, 10% Waves and 15% other.
Hi sir, uad apollo twin x adapter does not have three pin plug, only two, All the wires whether mic, Headphones or monitors is connected to twin x all have electric current, In our studio earthing cable is properly connected, But apollo has only two pins in its adapter, I'm getting electric shocks by apollo, please solve the problem, Thanks
Do you think I could get away with a Volt 476p interface as I have a almost new mac m2 and I am not sure if this would negate the effectiveness of DSP on the Apollo interface?
No I have one currently and it's been about 6 months now and today I'm about to level up to the Apollo twin so my opinion yes if you want no latency and just overall better sound quality

Hey guys ! I have my apollo twin hooked up to a great river preamp. All of the sudden when I set to LINE level (preamp connected to Apollo twin via 1/4 set to input) the PHANTOM POWER will not turn on. If I set it to MIC level - phantom turns on. What am I doing wrong ? :( thank you!
A line input doesn't require phantom power (48v). Phantom power is for condenser microphones, select ribbon microphones, and some DI boxes. In other words, your Great River preamp should be connected via its line outs to the line inputs of the Apollo. Since the mic is connected to the Great River, that will supply phantom power. Make sure the mic is plugged in before you turn phantom power on. The inverse also applies - turn off phantom power before you unplug the mic.
@@asoundlab I think I am realizing that I always had it set up this way and my mind was playing tricks on me! Haha I THOUGHT phantom power had to be on the great river AND Apollo but it works perfectly with 48V off on the Apollo but ON on the great river. Does that sound right!? Sorry for the stupid question :) thank you!
